One Down 

It's been a long road

She was feeling mighty blue

Since the hex Billy is different

And Rue knew not what to do

She only got glimpses

Of what was in the other's heads

But from Billy she got nothing

To afraid he'd end up dead

They made it to Ruby's shack

Sneaking around the back

Turns out no one was home

Except Ol' Bessy left to roam

"Well, that's one off my check list,"

Ruechari said sounding miffed

"You didn't expect it to be that easy?"

Billy said and she had to agree.

"I'm just a little tired of all this battling,"

Rue looked tired, as she spoke.

"Sometimes I wish for a simpler life

But I guess that's just a joke."

Something she said

Must have hit a chord

Billy walked away

Looking around, acting bored

She needed to figure him out and soon

In her anger she kicked a spittoon

Out flew some mail

Sent from County Jail

She found some paper 

Jotted a note

Of what she discovered,

And then she wrote

"For CG's eyes only."

She tied it to Bessy

"Go on, Girl now,

Go back to town 

That's a good cow."
