Looking into Tent City  

Tasked with fetching info, 

a detective I should be, 

alas just a stable hand

Riding into town on my jet black horse, 

looks I received, 

 an outsider to them 

Can't say I blamed them 

Sheriff gave me a description 

of how to look out for,

 nowhere to be seen in the town pub 

Tried to get info but no success, 

Figured a couple of days, I would have something to return too

Knight found the subjects in question, 

 keeping an eye out, 

noticing a pattern 

Like clockwork, 

The Stone couple visited certain houses 

 A widow residency with two kids, 

a boy and girl 

Happening every couple of days, 

 Extremely suspicious, 

 wanted to confront but couldn't 

Have to return with this information 

Someone looking familiar stood out, 

 someone like Brandy, Jake's sister, 

 looking different than what I've heard, 

 but I could see the resemblance, 

 little but it was there.

Knowing how much Jake missed her, 

had to tell him that she was alright, 

 at least I supposed so, 

he would be happy to hear about her

Prayed the widow and kids 

would be okay and headed back to town 

 after having visiting the bar, 

ready for the days ride back
