A Meeting of the Minds

They rode along hard and fast

But Brody's good fortune was

Too good to last.

He needed to know where

Bella might be

But it would seem

Lady lost connection with she

Both Knight and Lady

Appeared confused.

But to give up hope

Brody refused.

He got them to a stable

Water and hay

For two horses

A  steep  price he'd pay

"I'm taking a look around the town

I'll be back to let you know

What I've found"

"In the meanwhile if

Bella reaches out to you

Tell her you're here

She'll know what to do."

Brody couldn't believe

He's was talking to these steeds.

But something told him

They seemed to understand

What he needs.

Brody tried not to panic

Not to think the worst

He prayed Bella wasn't harmed

That he'd get to her first.

Then he'd seen a sight

That took him by surprise

Myna, 3gun with CM

Had arrived.

"Brody! I thought you were watchin' the jail!"

"I was but I learned Bella was missing

And followed the trail"

Myna looked concerned

"And it led you here?"

She looked at 3Gun with a

Look of fear.

"What? What is it?

What do you know?"

"Not much,"

3Gun admitted.

"Only that CG's

Been abducted from BG

A little while ago."

"There looked to be a struggle

But she got away.

CM had then led us this way."

Myna added,

"She was taken close to the stables

So there's a chance you see

Bella was taken too

Along with CG."

"But then that would mean

They both got free."

Brody said trying to bring

Some positivity.

"I think we should split up

We'll cover more ground

Report back here in an hour

On what you have found."

Brody asked,

"The Smith had mentioned

Two women that had seen.

Do you think it was Bella and CG

He could mean?"

"Possible?" 3Gun said

"Did he say were

They may have head?"

"He said he couldn't remember well

He complained about being busy as hell.

But he thought there was a mention

Of a need to find a hotel?"

Brody replied,

"I'll go check them out.

I'm sure something will turn up no doubt."

3 Gun sighed,

"I'll check with local law

See if they know anything at all."

Myna agreed,

"I check the stores.

See if they stopped to get

Anything to eat.

Then back here we all can meet"
