PROMISE OF THE HANGMAN 

Billy heard the shotgun blast. 

And ran into the hotel fast. 

Receptionist screaming 

O'Boyle on floor bleeding 

Gunman about to shoot Rue. 

Billy fired his gun as quickly as he drew. 

Hit old gunman 

Who turned and swung 

Fired gun blindly 

Missing Billy 

Then collapsed on the floor. 

Rue let out a roar. 

Pointing behind Billy. 

The receptionist had lost her head 

Her body slumped on her desk dead. 

"Help me!" Rue begged Billy 

Over O'Boyle's bloody body. 

The gunman dragged himself across the floor. 

 Making his way to the door. 

Then he heard Billy's pistol hammer. 

 "Don't shoot I surrender."

His hands placed in the air. 

"You're gonna hang for this!" 

"True and thanks to you son. 

I'm still gonna have to get this job done."
