Date Night - Bubba and Sue

"Bubba are you ready? 

The hour is getting late!" 

Aunt Sue was excited, 

Bubba was taking her on a date. 

"I'm a comin'! 

Hold ur horses woman!" 

Bubba, smiled and kissed Sue's cheek, 

In a sign of true affection. 

"We have to stop at the cafe 

To pick up our Secret Santa list." 

This is one town function, 

That wasn't going to be missed. 

For dinner and a show,

The casino was just the place. 

Hearing Loren sing, a treat, 

Her voice, divine and full of grace. 

"Don't keep me in suspense, 

My dearest curly Sue; 

Who are our Secret Santa picks? 

One for me and one for you." 

"It looks like you have chosen Buck, 

He would like a new hat. 

3Gun would like a new pillow, 

I believe I can handle that." 

"A new hat...I think I have just the thing. 

Remember I bought a new one 

Over in County, just this last spring. 

I haven't had a chance to wear it, 

In a box it is tucked away. 

Shall we leave it at the sheriff's office 

Or with some muffins at the cafe?" 

 "How about with some muffins 

At the sheriff's office!" 

"Awe my silly Sue, 

As always your plan is flawless!" 

With a cheeky smile and a giggle, 

Bubba receives a kiss. 

This night is turning out, 

To be a beautiful slice of bliss. 

"As for our dear, dear Sheriff, 

An ergonomic pillow I will knit. 

One that will fit his back just right, 

With lilac sachets, sewn right in it." 

"Well there you have, my love; 

Our Secret Santa plans are done. 

How about a turn on the dance floor? 

Come my beautiful wife, let's have some fun!"

On the desk of Deputy Buchanan, 

Sits a hatbox of gray, 

Alongside a basket of fresh muffins, 

Sure to make the start of a wonderful day! 

And in the Saloon, 

Under the corner stairs, 

Lays a handmade cushion, 

To let the Sheriff 

know how much someone cares!
