3Gun found Buck sitting in the jail 

Twisting a ring on his finger 

"You want to be alone here, Buck. 

I don't have to linger?" 

Dropped his feet from the desk 

He looked up and smiled 

 "Nope, just sitting here thinking. 

That woman's got me beguiled." 

"Why aren't you with her, 

You do somethin' bad?" 

 "Nah, she's going to try and train Jake today."

"As a blacksmith? Egads!

Somethin' I want you to do. 

A guy named Land came to see the mayor, 

He left one of his men at the Casino hotel 

and the other bought a ton of goods from Manny Ger. 

Ronan and the one at the Casino had a fight 

Name's Ewell, a gunfighter, just doesn't feel right.

The other one left town and took his wagon west. 

I want you to take a ride out and see what he's up to." 

"Do I take any action? Face the man down?" 

"No, just nose around then get back to town. 

I met his boss the other night at the Gala." 

3Gun looked at his deputy with a frown 

"There's something smells off about this whole deal. 

Take a look at what he's doin' and report what you feel." 

"He told me he'd deal with his man about the fight. 

I want to make sure what's said was right. 

He's related to CG and that doesn't sit well." 

Buck bit his tongue, wouldn't do to get nosy 

But he mentioned a rumor he'd heard 

that Land and Denver were cozy
