He arrived in a flurry

Wanting to find Petra

In a hurry

Only she wasn't here

The why?

He did fear.

He found me in the stable

"Rosetta, where can she be?"

Petra knew.

Obviously, for when 

The two came face to face

They had immediately embraced."

Buck said, 

"She told me,

She had a twin sister

Maybe this is her?"

I shrugged. "I guess

but I don't know," I confessed.

"Then there were the two

GORGEOUS men..."

Buck looked worried, 

all over again.

"They dragged her out of here."

"And you let them?!"

"Well, she didn't seem to mind

In fact, she was

grinning ear to ear."

This was obviously the last thing

Buck wanted to hear. 

"May I offer you some advice?"

"I think I need some 

at this point in life."

"If you want Petra

you have to step up your game. 

I'd seen the look on her face

Something has changed.

Suddenly she looks complete.

So, you can't be timid

if you wish to compete."

I grabbed his hand.

"If you care for Petra 

You must let her know

Leave her with no doubt.

But first, there's somewhere 

We must go..."

I drug him outback 

Filled up a trough. 

"Strip down and clean up!"

I handed him a scrub brush.

You've miles of dirt to slough."

When Buck was all through

He noticed a suit sitting nearby, 

it looked brand new.

A pair of boots, too

that shimmered and shined.

"I almost didn't recognize them

as mine."

"Go on! Get dressed 

We have somewhere else

to go next."

Soon Buck was sitting 

in Strop's Barber chair

"He needs the works.

He needs the "heart's dare".

"Are you certain?

He doesn't look ready."

Hands on hips

I stomp my foot

"I'm on a bit of a schedule 

Will you begin already?!"

Strop laughed. 

"Heart's dare it is.

It's not my life

It's his."

Buck wondered 

what all this could mean.

But when Strop had finished 

he positively gleamed.

Buck's reflection in the mirror

was a new man

One that looked ready

to do what he can

To win the love 

of his maiden fair

If only,

he'd dare.

I smiled,

my heart filled with pride.

"There is just one more thing."

I opened a box, inside...

A beautiful promise ring.

Buck looked hesitant.

Strop said, "See! I told you

he wasn't ready for this!"

"Shush, you!"

"Buck, all it will take is just one kiss.

All this ring is 

Is a promise.

One kiss and your heart will

 Tell you yes or no

if she's really the one for you... 

Now go!"

Buck pocketed the ring. 

As he left,

He heard Strop say,

"Yeah, good luck, Prince Charming."

My gaze turned to Strop

"Now what to do about you?

You know the hotel will open 

In just a few!"

"I got it handled.

Interfering woman. 

Now scoot! Out of my shop!"

With a wink and a laugh,

"Well, Strop

Can't say I didn't try?"

Strop watched her leave,

chuckled, shaking his head

Though not sure why.
