I follow the wagon

Going south

There are at least two onboard

I can hear them running

"It was easy enough,

just had to do whatever

Teddy sez."

"Yeah, but I was pretty sure

that deputy would have

had made them croak.

Didn't you see who it was?

It was The Kid."

"Musta been all that smoke."

They made it over the river

The shallow end

Still yammerin' on 'bout the

Money they're gonna spend.

It was obvious,

They had no reason to stop

They were riding with a team of six

Suddenly a shot rang out hitting the hitch.

The horses were free

and on the run

Billy road on wondering

Who shot the gun.

Big Pez and Lil' Runt

Were thrown from their seat

To pick them off now would

Would be easy to complete.

But Billy now had another concern

For up in the hills fate took a turn

Several Indians hooped and yelled.

Billy put away his rifle his hands upheld.

The Indians rounded up the horses

They would fetch a good price.

One road forward,

Big Pez asked, "What do we do?"

"If I were you?

Shut that big trap of yours,

Would be my advice."

"And don't think to run,

Not unless you want to be shot

In the back by a gun."

Big Pez and Lil Runt nodded their heads

Letting Billy take the lead instead.

Billy comes face to face with one of the Braves.

His looks him in the eyes and a grin he gave.

"Jujube what are you doing out here?"

"It has been a rough farming year."

"I came home to find many of the Kit Kat tribe.

Came to the Toffee Nation to hide.

Thought I should take them to Ruechari.

What are you doing this far south, Billy."

"Chasing after those two bandits you see

Hiding in the dirt just behind me.

Do me a favor and act real mad

I think there's some fun here to be had."

Jujube looks past Billy at both men

Indian war cries began again.

Both men cowered in the dirt.

They couldn't press themselves

Any lower into the sand of the desert.

"Now what would you like me to do?"

"Get your men to round them up

And tie them over the back of a horse,

Would you?"

Jujube smiled, and signaled to the men

Jujube and Billy rode back to them again.

Soon the Indians had them tied up tight.

They needed two horses because

Big Pez was anything but slight.

"I thought you were bargaining for our lives?!"

"Crazy thing, Billy said with a grin,

"as it turns out I was but they said

if I give them you, I can leave here alive.

So it's sort of a win, win."

"But you're the law you got to protect us?"

Said Lil' Runt.

"Should have thought of that

before you pulled that little stunt.

I now have a hole in the jail to repair.

So the way I see it, this seems fair."

"Please Mr. the Kid

We know what we did

But don't let us die this way.

Take us with you," Big Pez did say.

Billy said, something to the pack

But he spoke in Kit Kat

The injuns did holler and cheer

He told them Ruechari was near.

"Looks like you boys ran out of luck."

On the back of their heads they were struck.

Billy said tying their horses to his

And meeting up by Jujube's side

The two men shook hands.
