I CAN HEAR THE DEMON screaming again, Burny thought.

     Burny, standing on a chair at the backyard, attached tied the rope to a tiny branch of a tree. He fixed the noose of a rope around his neck to hang himself.

     (Kill yourself.)

     From his room, Purvis was shooting Burny, chuckling like a mischievous child.

     Carma walked out the back door, startled upon seeing what was happening.

     Burny kicked the chair away, and hung in the air, choked by the running knot drawn by his body weight.

     Crack!

     The branch gave way. Burny fell hard on his butt on the ground, grimacing in pain and

     Toink!

     The falling branch bounced off his head.

     Carma rushed to her son; she cuffed him on the ear. "You nincompoop! Do that again and I swear I'll kill you myself."
