Lucy POV

My partner no my best friend grabbed my hand. "N-Natsu what are you do-" I started to ask but he cut me off by pulling my chin up as he leaned in. My hearts racing so fast I think it's about to run out of my throbbing chest. I felt my face getting hot.

  'Natsuu, Natsu , Natsu's gonna kiss me? He's almost kissing me. My first kiss?' I thought as I closed my eyes tilting my head waiting for the kiss. I could feel his warm breathe as get got closer to me.

His lip barely brushed against mine when I felt his presence disappear "...Natsu?" I said slowly opening my eyes. I looked down to find him gripping the railing holding his chest.

  "Gahhh!" He shrieked in pain. My eyes opened wide "NATSU!" I rushed down to his side. I touched his arm "geh!" I cried out as when I touch him his skin burned me. He's sweating like crazy, he needs to cool off.

Gray

I noticed he's chest glowing I opened his yutaka to see the weird mark engulfing his body. The mark glowed a firey yellow orange as it burned into his skin moving across his body . I covered him shaking.

I grabbed him and pulled him into my back. I held my tears in as best as I could as his skin burned me badly. I heard his heavy breathing "lu..cy.." His eyes finally closed.

Normal POV

Lucy made her way back to the hotel, in her luck as she walked into the hotel and fainted on the ground Erza and the others where just getting ready to leave.

"NATSU, LUSHIE!!!" Happy cried running over to them. "Oh my Mavis! Lucy-San has horrible burns all over her" Wendy stood over her and starting chatting to heal her.

She soon woke up "NATSU." Her eyes flashed open. She crawled over to Natsu. "Gray!" "Hai!?" He jumped as she called his name so suddenly.

  "I need you to use your ice make magic to cool Natsu off please. His body is getting too hot, even for a fire dragon slayer" She looked at him with sadness.

He nodded then walked over to Natsu and started to freeze him and to his surprise the ice melted as soon as it hit his skin. He continued. Lucy covered her mouth and started crying.

  "Natsuu, please be okay" Wendy and Erza rubbed her back, while Happy was in her chest crying while she held him tightly.

After hours of cooling Natsu off they brought him to their room. Gray sat down "Lucy I don't have anymore magic power left in me." He looked down disappointed in his self.

Lucy got up a rubbed his arm. "Thank you Gray, you did your best and you helped" she said softly sitting on the stool next to the bed.

She grabbed Natsu's hand which no larger burned her. She squeezed it tightly, rubbing her thumb across his fingers. Gray stood up before he left her heard Lucy thank him one last time.

"Natsu you better wake up soon" he mumbled as he walked out.

Lucy continued to rub Natsu's hand, slowing pulling it she kissed it softly. Tears began to run down her face. She placed his hand on her cheek leaning into it.

"Wake up you dummy" she sniffles out before falling asleep on the side of the bed.

Natsus POV

I opened my heavy eyes. It took a second for my vision to clear. I looked down and saw a familiar blonde head resting on the edge of the bed. She had tears in her eyes. I sighed I pulled her onto the bed and tucked her in. I wonder if she stay up all night.

I caressed her cheeks while she slept. I noticed her bottom lip quivering. 'Her big pink lips.. Oh my Mavis!' I mentally face palmed my self.

'I was about to kiss Lucy before I passed out, urg I can't believe I blew my chance.' Sighing I laid back down. 'I think she actually was about to kiss me back hehe' I smirked.

"Hey Natsu?" I heard softly. I sat back up looking over to see Lucy rubbing her wet eyes yawning. "Lucy, you're awak-" I was knocked back down on the bed, Lucy had her arms wrapped arm my neck and her face against my chest.

"Don't ever do that again! You had me so worried you - you idiot." She cried clinching my yutaka as I smiled softly patting her head.

"Does it still hurt?" She said pointing at my chest. I sat up once more and pulled down the top of my yutaka. The mark completely cover my chest and both sides of my arms and shoulders.

But what really got me and Lucys attention was then letter E in the middle of my chest.

"W-what is that?" "I'm not sure Luce" I began to worry. I saw her staring at me with those big chocolate orbs I didn't want her to worry. 'Ahh what to do' I asked my self over and over. 'Maybe..' I grabbed hold of her and pulled her in.

Lucy's POV

I'm worried somethings wrong I can see it in his eyes. He slowly reached his hand towards me and surprised me when he pulled me in. I felt my head pressed against his chest hugging me.

'He's so warm' I sighed and hugged back. "I'm serious Lucy I'm fine". He told me. "Okay, just promise you'll tell me if something comes up." I felt him nod.

We just sat there hugging for a while. I felt him lean his chin on my head. I nuzzled in a bit more, I felt safe here. We didn't say anything, neither of us probably knew what say.

Something wrong but he's not telling me. I opened my eyes and looked at the tattoo like marks on his chest. I reach up and traced them 'what does it mean?' I thought.

Natsus POV

Lucy started touching my mark. 'I'm glad she's not scared, but I really wish she just didn't know about' I thought.

*clink clink*

We both looked at the door as the handle jiggled threatening to open any second. Lucy let go of me and jumped off bed running into the bathroom. "gah!!" I heard her whisper squeal as she shut the door. I laughed seeing she was blushing a bit.

I pulled my yutaka back up to cover the marks. Erza and the others walked in, surprised to see me up and okay they smiled. "Natsu!!!" Happy drove into me crying and hugging.

"I was so worried about you, look I brought you fish!!" Happy handed him a fish wiping his tears. "Thanks little buddy" I scruffled his head.

"Yo flame brain , how you feeling?" Gray asked me as he walked through the door. "You know i pretty much saved your life last night." He added. "Whatcha talking bout ice-princess." I Hollered back.

"Natsu, it's true, you see your body was burning up really really badly so I asked Gray to cool you off." Lucy said walking out of the bathroom.

She sat on the edge of the bed and looked at me, she still looked worried, I must have been in really bad shape last night.

"Natsu I know you're just recovering but we have to leave for the train in about 15 minutes. We can't really afford for you and Lucy to stay behind." Erza said lowly.

"Eh what I'm fine! Just let me take a shower and I'll meet yall there." They nodded and left all besides Lucy. "Lucy get going" "no" "yes" "no!" We argued back and forth.

  "Why not!"I raised my voice. "Because.. I don't want you to be alone. Plus who else if gonna pack our bags! I sure and the hell know your lazy butt won't" she's right I wouldn't have hehe.

"Fine just no peeking perv." She sent daggers at me with her eyes. I shivered and ran into the bathroom to shower. After about five minutes I jumped out and got dressed. "Crap!" "Hmm what's wrong Natsu?" I heard Lucy yell.

"I need to wrap my right arm or everyone will see my marks" "can I come in? I'll wrap it for you" she commented back. I opened the door , she had the medical tape in her hands and was smiling.

After she wrapped my arm we grabbed our bags and ran off to catch the train before it left.

"We will be in Zeref's territory later today" Gramps told everyone "When we get there I'm sure the war we start immediately.. So get as much rest on the way there and be ready to fight Fairy Tail!" We all cheered and did what he said.

Being that my motion sickness had already kicked in I was hanging out the window. Lucy giggled at me "er.. Stop laug- uhggugh" ugh I can't even tell her to leave me alone *cry*

I felt Lucy rub my back 'ahh that's nice' I thought falling asleep again.
