"Don't touch her..." Anna growled as her glowing spots shined brighter along with her fiery eyes.

"Anna..." Summer muttered in surprise.

Anna stood in front of Summer in a protective stance as the monster stood up straight and exhaled as it seemed to glare at her. Anna straightened up her stance before walking forward as she and the beast circled each other as they stood still in the center of the village.

"Summer, take everyone and get them as far away from here as you can. I'll hold it off for as long as I can." Anna commanded her.

"Let us help you! Come with us!" Summer begged.

"I can't!" Anna yelled before turning around in surprise.

Waiting not a moment longer, the creature charged towards Anna with great speeds and jumped into the air before spinning around and sending its tail towards her. Raising her arms just in time she blocked the attack but the force behind it was enough to send her sliding back almost 10 feet. As Anna looked up however the beast was already in front of her face and spinning again as it kicked her across the face and sent her to the ground. She grunted as she rolled across the floor and winced in pain. Her right cheek was red as her lip was cut at the side and she looked up at the monster that was glaring at her. Anna, being stubborn as she is, pushed herself back up to her feet as she yelled while charging forward towards the creature.

"Anna, wait!" Summer begged.

She did not listen as she lunged forward with her claws extended out as the beast merely turned and watched her fly by before turning around and blasting her with another beam attack. The beams scorched her back as Anna yelled and collapsed on the ground. 

"Damn brat...Ngh!" Levi groaned as he pushed himself up and hit his booster pack twice before it roared to life.

Levi flew and spun towards the beast as it merely turned towards him and grabbed his left arm. Levi glared at the monster as it just stared at him, but what it wasn't expecting was Levi sending his other saber towards its face as he stabbed it straight through its eye and the beast roared in pain. Letting him go and stumbling back, the beast roared loudly as it collapsed to one knee and tried to pull out the saber from its face, but the Captain decided to land one last blow and jumped up before spinning in the air and kicking the butt of the saber deeper into its face as it fell back. Levi took the opportunity and grabbed Anna as he threw her over his shoulder and ran back towards his team.

"Let's go!" Levi said as he ran pass them and away.

"R-Right!" Hanji agreed as she and Moblit followed suit.

Summer stood back up and stared at the beast as it was able to yank out the saber and toss it away. It growled and hissed as it stared over at Summer with black ooze foaming and dripping from its burned out eye, making Summer turn and run away as the beast growled before howling towards the sky as she caught up to the others as they ran into the woods to the South. 

"What the hell was that thing? Hanji, you should know, right?" Levi asked.

"No, this isn't something that's been recorded in any record of history in remnant. It's new, something we haven't seen before. A new breed of grimm with an incredible amount of intelligence." Hanji hypothesized.

"Speaking of something new, you have some explaining to do when we return, Mrs.Rose." Levi glared back at her as Summer looked away.

There was a strange sound coming towards them followed by high winds as they slid to a stop and looked up to see a bullhead descending down towards them. The door opened and revealed Erwin who was staring down at them, and when he saw Anna over Levi's shoulder his eyes widened in interest before he landed.

"Get in!" Erwin yelled as they rushed over and piled into the bullhead.

As they ascended back to the air Erwin looked down to see the monster that was chasing them as it charged up another attack.

"Evade!" Erwin yelled as the pilot tilted the ship right.

The creature fired but missed as the bullhead dove right before turning and flying off. It growled as it watched the ship with its prey fly away, but looking in the direction it was going the monster began to travel in the same way as its eye healed back to normal and steam exited from the mouth of the creature.

As Summer and her allies all rested inside the ship silence filled the air as Erwin stared at them all.

"What happened during the operation...Where's Levi's unit...What was that thing...So many questions and yet nothing to answer with." He thought as he turned to go towards the cockpit but turned back to stare at the unconscious body of Anna. "What were you doing out there on your own?" Erwin thought before turning away.

Somewhere Else, With Anna

"Huh...Where am I...?" Anna thought as darkness was the only thing she could see. "What happened to everyone...Summer...those soldiers...that thing..." She thought as there was a strange noise. "What is that...it's cold...and wet." She felt a strange feeling as the noise was growing louder and louder.

"Anna..." She heard her name get called.

"Who's there..." She could only reply with her thoughts.

"Anna..." It called out louder as she picked up on familiar tone.

"I know that voice...." She thought.

"Anna...!" She heard again.

"Y/N...?" She thought weakly.

"ANNA!" The voice yelled as her eyes shot open.

Anna gasped and breathed heavily as she sat up and looked down to see herself sat on a beach where the waves would crash against her. She caught her breath and calmed down a bit before turning around and looking at her surroundings, finding that she was on a beach where there was a cliff side behind her.

"Where am I?" She thought in confusion as she stood up and rubbed her lower back.

Just then however her eyes widened in shock as she felt there was something missing and was off. She turned her head around to try and look at her back and to her shock the spines and tail she once bared were no longer there. She looked at her hands and feet and saw that there were no claws, felt her teeth to find that none were razor sharp.

"I'm...human...?" She thought in shock.

"Yang, wait up!" She heard as she turned towards her left.

When she looked left she saw a blonde haired girl who was about 9 years old running away from a boy who looked the same age. What surprised Anna the most was the features the boy had.

"Those spines..." She muttered as she stared at the small set of spines on the boy's back. "That tail..." She looked at the tail that wagged around in excitement as she stared at the face of the boy. "Y/N...?" She thought as she stared at you while you laughed and chased after Yang.

"W-Wait for me!" Anna heard as she turned and saw a 6 year old Ruby panting and trying to keep up with you two

"Sorry Ruby." You said as you ran back to her and picked her up in your arms.

"Guys, food's ready!" Anna turned to see a blonde man she had never met seen before.

"What is this?" Anna thought as she watched you and the two girls run back in excitement and all she could look at was you. "Y/N..." She called to you lowly.

Just then however she saw you stop while the other girls ran ahead and she was confused by your action before you suddenly turned towards her direction. She was shocked when you were staring right at her but just then another voice called to you.

"Y/N?" You and Anna heard as you both looked to see Summer waiting for you. "What's wrong?" She asked.

"N-Nothing..." You replied as you turned back around and looked at the beach to see nothing. "I just thought I heard something..." You said.

"C'mon, let's go eat." She said as you turned around and ran up to her as she held your hand while the two of you walked away and Anna stood there in awe.

"Did...he hear me...?" She thought before the sound of lightning caught her attention.

Turning around in haste she turned to see a storm coming in from the other end of the beach, but something about this storm was alluring to her, almost like it wanted her to come towards it.

"No...Please...I'm begging you..." She heard a voice come from the storm.

Gulping down her nervousness and wiping sweat off of her face she began to walk towards the storm as blue lightning rained down in continuous patterns while a greenish light also flashed from the clouds within. As she made her way into the dark storm where nothing but darkness and dust surrounded her vision while rain and high winds made her cover her face, Anna tried looking around as best as she could to find the person who spoke, only to hear the voice once again.

"Somebody...Please..." She heard a girl's voice as she looked ahead and saw someone on their knees in the darkness.

"Hello?!" She tried calling out but the girl did not hear.

"Somebody...please..." The girl muttered as Anna took one step closer and stared with nervousness and suddenly everything around her fell silent until...

Then was a huge crash of lightning that made Anna yell in fear before falling back. She felt a huge rumbling come one after another like footsteps of a giant beast as she looked up and saw a giant dark figure tower above her. The creature above her began to shine a bright purple light as Anna had a terrified look in her eye before there was a flash of light.

"NOOOOOO!!!!!!!" Anna cried out as she was engulfed in light.

Meanwhile, With Sarah

Sarah was sat down on her bed lost in thought as Annie was in front of a body mirror looking at herself in a beautiful golden dress and Julia was in front of a the vanity mirror they had in the room putting on some make up when she noticed in the reflection Sarah doing nothing and staring off into space.

"Ugh, Annie, snap Sarah out of it or we're going to be late." Julia said as she got up to go to the restroom as Annie turned around and walked towards Sarah.

"Sarah, c'mon or we won't make the first dance! Plus you have first duty at the punch table." Annie snapped Sarah out of her trance by shaking her a bit as Sarah shook her head and looked up at her.

"Huh?" Sarah had a cutely confused face as Annie bit her lip and blood spilled a little while she turned away.

"D-Damn cute moth-girl..." She muttered in annoyance as Sarah tilted her head.

Suddenly, a blue dress was tossed onto Sarah's lap as she looked over and saw Julia walk out of the restroom.

"You already showered and did your hair. If you wait any longer we're going to be late and won't be able to meet with Y/N before the dance starts." Julia said.

"R-Right, sorry..." Sarah apologized.

"You've been acting weird for a few days, something wrong?" Annie asked.

"No...It's just this dream I keep having..." Sarah said before shaking her head. "Never mind that, let's get to that dance." Sarah said with determination as she tried to head towards the restroom.

Just as she walked pass Annie however, Sarah tripped on a hair-dryer cord that was connected across the floor and yelled as she spun around and face planted with her butt in the air as her dress landed on her rear.

"Damn cute moth-girl..." Julia and Sarah both thought as Sarah laid there crying in embarrassment.

After getting ready and night began to cover Vale, the three girls all headed out of the dormitory and started their way towards the ball room. Annie sported a silk gold dress that reached down to the top of her knees and at the top her shoulders were bare as her wings were fully closed on her back and her tails were up in excitement. To her left was Julia who had her hair tied up in a high pony tail and wore a crimson red dress that reached down pass her knees and was a bit more frilly than Annie's as it didn't hug her body too tight. Her wings were also pulled back to not be a bother to anyone and she wore a cropped black leather jacket with the sleeves rolled up. On Annie's right was Sarah who sported a smooth navy blue dress that had a butterfly design embroiled near the left side of her chest area as her hair was wavy and she had a pink hue spread across her cheeks. While heading over towards the ballroom, they cut through the courtyard where they saw many classmates all dressed and ready for the dance, and through there they saw the one person they were looking for.

"Y/N!" Sarah called as she ran towards you and you turned around.

Just when you turned around however Sarah stopped running and stared at you in awe of your look of the night. You were wearing a stunning black suit with a red bow tie at your neck as your spines and tail were left free with some customization to the suit and your hair was clean and combed back.

"H-Hey..." You said as you had a red hue spread across your cheeks and you looked away.

"Amazing..." Sarah muttered before she yelped as Annie rested her arm on her shoulder.

"Huuuh~? What was that again, Sarah~?" Annie said with a smug grin.

"N-NOTHING!" Sarah yelped while covering her face with her hands.

Just then however, three roses appeared in front of the three girls as they looked towards you and you were rubbing the back of your neck while looking away.

"T-Tonight was a special night so I thought it'd be nice to get you three something...you all look really pretty too...so, um, here..." You said while making sure not to face them.

The three girls all had surprised blushing faces as they stared at the roses in front of them before Annie smiled and took the one in the middle before going up to you.

"Thank you for waiting and complimenting us, Y/N." Annie said as she came closer and gave you a kiss on the cheek as you yelped in shock.

Just then, Julia came forward and snatched hers as well as she gave you a cheek on the other cheek and you stared at her especially in shock.

"Thanks for everything, Y/N. You're really really REALLY amazing." Julia said with a smile and a small pink hue on her face as you were dark red already.

Just then you and the other two turned towards Sarah who was seemed really flustered and reluctant at first, but mustered up the courage to take the rose and give you a quick kiss on the cheek as well as she instantly pulled away and shut her eyes.

"Thank you for everything you've done for us, Y/N! You're the bestest in the whole world!" She said in embarrassment.

"Y-Yeah..." You said while your heart was pumpiong out of your chest.

"Well, what are we waiting for? Let's go!" Annie said as she pulled you along towards the ballroom.

"W-Wait! That's not fair, Annie!" Sarah yelled while she tried to catch up to her.

"Kids these days..." Julia thought before thinking about you and how nice you looked as she giggled and blushed. "Not like I'm one to laugh though..." She muttered as she ran after you three as well.

As the four of you all made it to the ballroom and walked through the doors you were greeted with a big smile from Yang who was taking names of the people who showed up.

"Well well well, aren't you looking good for these three ladies. But don't forget, you're mine and if you try anything funny I'll cut off your tail and make you eat it." Yang smiled while taking down your names.

"Right~" Sarah, Annie and Julia all said in unison as they dragged you away as you were too scared to even move. 

Just as you were all about to hit the dance floor though, a girl in a red dress wearing a small headset on her ear and holding a clip board ran up to Sarah stopping you all.

"Sarah. it's your turn to handle the punch station. Do you mind?" The girl asked as Sarah looked a bit shocked and saddened.

"Actually we were just going to--" You tried to speak at first but Sarah spoke up.

"N-No, I don't mind." She answered before letting go of your hand as she stepped forward. "Sorry, guys...I'll catch up with you later." She and the girl began to walk away, but you called out to her.

"W-Wait!" You called as she turned around and stared at you. "I-I'll save you a slow dance so...don't be late..." You said with an embarrassed look.

After hearing what you had just said, Sarah smiled with a big blush on her face as she nodded at you.

"Yeah! Thank you, Y/N!" She said before she and the other girl left and you watched with a feeling of sadness.

"That girl just can't say no to helping people. It was the same back in our village before we left." Annie commented on Sarah's selfless nature as you turned towards her.

"What was Sarah like before you two came here?" You asked while at the refreshment's table Sarah pulled out a little locket she had tucked away in her dress.

"She was a lot different, shy beyond belief, no real friends because of her father, and was taught the habit to never turn away anyone who ask for help, even if what they want is stupid and wrong...There was one person though that she cared about even more than me..." Annie trailed off as Sarah opened the locket.

As she opened the locket she saw two small pictures inside of the trinket, on the right side was a photo of a woman who looked about in her mid twenties and had a set of antennas and wings just like Sarah. The picture on the right however was a picture of a young moth girl at about the age of 6 while she held onto a baby who had no resemblance to the moth girl except for the same blue eyes they shared with each other.

"Big sis is doing her best, Christa...keep praying for me..." Sarah thought before two voices spoke up.

"Hey, you look really pretty, Sarah!" Sarah heard as she looked up and saw Nora and Pyhrra walk towards her.

"T-Thanks...Annie found me this dress while Julia helped with my hair and some makeup." Sarah said as she tucked away the locket into her dress.

"So, there anyone you wanna dance with?" Nora said playfully as she dash around the table and wrapped her arm around Sarah. "Just look, it's an ocean of possible dates and dances. C'mon, c'mon, anyone you interested in?" Nora asked as Pyhrra tugged on Nora's ear.

"I'm sure Sarah has a special someone in mind she wants to dance with. Don't make her so nervous." Pyhrra scolded her.

"Sorry..." Nora pouted as Sarah suddenly began to laugh.

They stared at her for a moment before laughing along with her as they conversed for a good amount of time. While they were talking though, Sarah couldn't take her eyes off of the one person she wanted to dance with the most, as she stared at you dance with Julia to a fast paced dance song. She blushed when she saw your smile and laugh and remembered how good you looked for the night as she gulped air down her throat and blushed.

"Please...keep praying for your big sis...I really need it!" Sarah begged her little sister to as she couldn't wait until it was finally time for her to spend an amazing night with the person she wants to the most.
