• Back to Ellie's P.O.V. •
"Baron, dinner was very great," I said to him as we started walking out of the fancy restaurant. "Thank you again, seriously."
"Nah, don't thank me," he told me, smiling and waving away the comment. "Well, again, that is."
I chuckled and dimmed my eyes towards him from the light. "Well, look, dinner's been great," I blabbed, concluding our night as a whole. That's when I looked up at him and he seemed to just take my breath right out of my chest. "And, um... The past couple of weeks have been amazing, by the way. Really amazing."
He grinned, which warmed my heart right up, and the way that he always looked at me, too. Everything about him, inside and out, is beyond amazing.
We haven't even kissed yet and I know we won't at this rate. He's still in love with his wife while I'm just his friend, after all. A guy and girl can be just friends. We've been living up to it so far.
He opened the door to our dark rental car for me and I hopped inside, thanking him in the process. He went around to his side and slid in, almost immediately turning the car on
Slowly, he looked behind us and backed up, taking us out to the main road. He began to chat about his current on-screen rivalry with Dean Ambrose, which is going very swell at the moment.
I started to talk about my own on-screen rivalry until I stopped myself from saying anymore. He already knew all of this, which had somehow followed into my personal life, too.
Right when he stopped at a red light, he glanced at me and asked: "How do you feel about Seth?"
"What's there to feel?" I scoffed and rolled my eyes. "Nothing. Absolutely nothing."
"That's not true," he countered and turned right on time. "You have to feel something for him, even if it's not any type of liking, either."
I heavily sighed and rolled my eyes again. I was becoming upset, but not at Baron, only at the idea of Seth. "I'm going to honest with you," I started to confess. "At first, I thought that we could possibly get along. But, then, he started being mean. Usually, I can let almost anything roll off my back, except when he insulted me."
"What would he say to you?" Baron asked as he parked in the parking lot of the hotel.
We started to get out and I kept talking: "He'll call me names and say that I didn't deserve to be here, all that shit."
As we started to walk through the double-door entranceway, I grabbed his arm and held onto it. "What else did he do to you?"
I tightened my grip on his arm and started, "Well, um..." I didn't exactly want to say what the first thing that I thought of was. Yet, I wanted to tell him, after all. "He might of pulled my hair once."
"What?!" he exclaimed once the elevator doors were closed and the button had been pressed. "Tell me he didn't, Ellie. Tell me he didn't..."
I sighed and nodded. "He did, but it's alright. We were both mad, so I kind of deserved it, to be honest."
"You didn't deserve to have him put his hands all around you, though," he pointed out, obviously very angry.
"I don't want to say that I hate him, by all means, but," I confessed, leaning my head side to side, "that would the best word to describe how I honestly feel about him."
"So, you hate him, then?" he simply asked as the elevator doors opened. We climbed out and turned right into the hallway. "Is that your final conclusion about him?"
I'm thought about it for a moment and finally nodded, accepting it. "Yeah, I think so."
"Good," he grunted, which took me off-guard a bit. "I would hate him, too, to be honest."
I opened my mouth to say something before somebody called out my name. I spun around and so did Baron, as we faced Seth Rollins. Well... He was stumbling towards us, obviously drunk.
"Seth?" I called out his name in question. "What the hell?"
"El," he slurred out my name, aching closing. "Ellie... Hey. Hey, baby. What you up to this evening?"
"Baby?" Baron squeaked out in question, taking back.
"Evening? Seth, it's legitimately ten-o'clock," I pointed out, very frustrated and concerned at the same time. "And, plus, you're drunk off your ass right now!"
"I'm... I'm not that drunk, baby," he slurred, giggling just as he placed his arm over my shoulders. "You're... You're beautiful, you know that?"
Then, Baron shoved him off of me and got in his face, fuming. Seth placed his arms up in surrender. "Hey... Hey! I'm fine, buddy. Back up."
"No, you back up!" Baron threatened, shoving him back onto the wall.
"Baron, stop," I begged, taking him back a notch. "We don't need this. It's fine. I'll take him back to his room, alright?"
Baron spun his head towards me in question and said, "But you shouldn't have to do that, though!"
I simply nodded with a low sigh. "I know, but I will because somebody has to," I pointed out and kept my voice low.
I went to take Seth's arm to drag him back to his room before I felt Baron jerk me right back to him. He held ahold of my right wrist tightly as I looked up at him in awe and confusion.
Before I knew it or could even fathom the event that happens next, Baron kept his eyes glued to mine before he pursed his lips together. He began to lean down and right into me before pressing his lips firmly onto mine, my heart melting with it.
After he was done kissing me, he let me go and I kind of just danced into Seth's arms. He was fuming – being a classic angry drunk. I couldn't tell if he was mad about Baron and my kiss or something else.
So, I took ahold of Seth and carried him directly to his room. I laid him on top of his bed and fell with him, accidentally, of course. "Just... Just lay here for the rest of the night, alright?"
"No!" he suddenly yelped, jumping up and reaching out for me. He succeeded in grabbing my hand and pulling me in. "Just... stay. Stay with me."
"I can't," I told him, brushing him off of me. "I have to go and you need to sleep. Goodnight, Seth."
He suddenly fell off of his bed, so I had to help him back onto the bed, where his head fell right into my lap. I didn't feel comfortable in this particular position, but he wasn't about to budge.
"I... I really like you, El," he suddenly said, which took me by surprise. "I..."
"Seth? Hey, calm down," I told him as he began to choke up. I hoped that he wouldn't puke on me, if anything. "Please calm down."
He suddenly sat up and looked at me straight in the eyes. Before I knew it, he placed a hand on my left cheek and leaned in, forcefully kissing me. It was precious and tasteless, hard and unbelievable.
I shoved him off of me and stood up, brushing myself off. Two guys within five minutes? What the hell?! "I once told you to never do that again, remember?" I tried to remain calm, but it was kind of hard to at the moment.
"It's hot," he simply said in return as he started to strip. "Help me, baby."
"I'm not your 'baby' and I'm not helping you anymore," I told him before I began to storm out of the room. He took his shirt off and began to work on his shorts, too.
"No," I yelped and leaped forward. I stopped him from taking off of his shorts before tugging him halfway under the sheets. "Just sleep, Seth. Okay? Just do that for me. Can you?"
With that said, he finally obliged as he began to tuck himself to bed. He batted his eyelashes before finally letting them close. "I'll... I'll do anything for you, love."
When he was finally asleep, I had watched him fall into a deep sleep. Then, I quietly exited the room, but not before switching off the lights first.
I went back to Baron's room as he met me at the door, offering me his award-winning smile, already making me feel ten-times better.
