The past couple of days, Baron and I have become really close. It's not uncomfortable or even awkward anymore. We're totally okay and becoming very good friends.
After Raw tonight, we're going to hang-out, but just us two. As a matter of fact, I've convinced Lillie to go out without me. She's gotten to a point where she doesn't even question me anymore.
I was packing up the last of my things at the make-up and hair table while Baron sat in one of the high-chairs. He was ready to go while I slacked a bit. I just wanted to frustrate him a little bit, to be honest.
"Come on already, Ellie," he whined, playing with the fur-ball I had on my key-chain. "I'm tired and ready to go. It's past ten already."
"I know and I'm sorry," I apologized, getting the last bit of things and stuffing them in my traveling duffle bag. "Here, I'm done."
"Finally," he breathed out, but I knew he was joking.
I spun around and he jumped up, immediately placing his arm around my waist. However, we didn't go anywhere due to the sight in front of us.
"Hey there, Ellie," Seth greeted me with no expression whatsoever. Then, he suddenly noticed Baron and straightened himself up. "Baron... What are you doing here?"
Baron had straightened himself up, too, handing my key-chain back to me, which I tossed into my bag. I don't know what it is about men that feel the need to do this.
"I'm making sure that Ellie here makes it to her car safely," Baron claimed, tugging on my waist. He wanted to go. Obviously. "We better get to it. C'mon, El."
Slowly and calmly, we walked passed Seth until we were halfway away. "What is it with the guy and his obsession over you?" Baron whispered to me.
However, I didn't get to answer before Seth called behind me: "When are you going to talk to me again, Ellie?"
Baron didn't seem to want me to stop, but I did and turned. Almost like we were face to face again, I simply said back to him: "Not today. Maybe another day. Goodnight, Seth."
With that said, I was taken back up in Baron's arms and flying into the parking garage, where our rental car was located at. He waited until we were in the car to ask again, "So, what's with him being so obsessed with you for?"
I waited until the car was being cranked and he was flying out of the parking garage to answer. "He's not obsessed. He's confused," I shrugged, answering it to the best of my ability.
"I wouldn't even call it that," he grunted, turning on the turn-signal to go left. "And why won't you talk to him? Because of the obsession?"
I shook my head and dryly said, "No, it's because of something else. I don't want to talk about it, though."
As soon as he was at the next red light, he stopped the car and looked directly at me. "He didn't do anything to you, did he?" Damn...
Again, I shook my head and cleared up: "No, of course not. He didn't do anything, really. It's just..." I paused, closing my eyes for the next part. "Other stuff."
Baron gripped the steering wheel and questioned, "Like what?"
I waved the question away and sighed, "It's nothing. Seriously. We're fine."
Suddenly, his hand slid over to me as it settled right on the inside of my thigh, close to my knee. Maybe I looked a little too surprised because he almost automatically pulled it back to sit in his own lap again.
We didn't say anything else as we lived out the rest of the ride to the hotel in pure and utter silence. He's married, Ellie. Married! He's married, Ellie. Married! He's married, Ellie. Married!
When we got to the hotel, we grabbed our stuff and headed up to his room. I would have to eventually talk to him, of course, and I'll be prepared for that talk, too.
When we got to his hotel room, he pushed the door open for me and I walked in first. He closed the door and cut the lights up until he could get ahold of the side-table lights for less light.
He set his stuff down in front of his own bed and I did the same as him, not knowing where else to put my things at the moment.
"So," Baron slowly said out and patted the spot next to him, which I just noticed that he was seating down on the end of his bed. I accepted the seat and he actually didn't wrap his arm around me this time. He let his hands sit in his lap as mine did the same as well. "If you tell me about Seth, I'll tell you a secret of mine."
I seemed to play right into his hands because of the way his eyes looked back at me. So, I nodded and sighed. I had agreed to tell somebody some very important details about myself. Unfortunately, these things that I haven't even told my own best friend, Lillie, yet.
So, I sighed and told him everything from Seth to Sasha to all the little details. By the end of my long confession, I breathed out a sigh of relief and felt like a huge weight had been lifted off of my shoulders.
In a strange way, I guess you could say that I trust him because I haven't even told Lillie any of this before yet. I confided in him about how I'm to blame for them.
Then, I admitted: "And, Seth... He's an asshole towards me, but, then, he'll be nice at the most random times. He claims that he misses me and all that outside of the ring, but... I don't want to talk to him, even when Sasha's not around. It's easier not to talk unless I have to."
He listened to me, word by word, like nobody else has my whole entire life. He made me feel wanted and that's something that I've always needed, really.
"So, what's your secret?" I finally asked him, sighing. I just wanted to distract myself from myself for once.
He shrugged his shoulders and sighed. Making eye contact, he softly told me: "My wife and I are currently separated. It's... kind of depressing, to be honest."
Wow. I need expected that to be his confession. He's married, Ellie. Married! Maybe he's not anymore, though... "May I ask why?"
He nodded and replied, "Yeah, well... We're having problems being always away from each other. I've offered for her to come with me, but she don't want to and, then, she'll get in my face about it. I don't know. I'm just at a point where I don't think that I can keep her happy anymore..."
Oh, no... "Well," I said and got ahold of his fingers instead of his hand, holding onto them for a few seconds. "It's okay. Everything will be okay. For the both of us, eventually."
He seemed to take my words in and allowed them to sink in. Then, before I knew it, he placed his hand on my cheek and I sort of just fell into his grasp. I was allowing myself to fall right into his his hands. Literally.
He began to lean in and I held my breath, expecting complete bliss in mere moments. But I didn't. Well, I did, just not where I wanted to feel it at. He simply kissed my forehead and I immediately recognized his lips as warm and welcoming.
If he can't make his wife happy anymore, he could really make me happy instead.
