One Week Later...

For the past week, I've been very distant from everyone, but I'm back. And, as I'm settling down and heading into my Royal Rumble match, I have to focus primarily just on that match and how I'm going to destroy Sasha. As she continues to play innocent, I'm not falling for it.

As I'm fixing up my ring-gear, I hear a knock on the door and perk up. "Come on it," I said to whoever it was.

A stagehand walked in and handed me an envelope. "It came to you through the mail," he said to me and I thanked him quickly before he walked out again.

I pulled my eyebrows together in confusion as to what this mysterious envelope contained. The front had my name on it and the WWE's main address on it. Several stamps and returned addresses.

I was about to open it before I heard over the intercom: "Scarlett Knight to curtain!"

I decided to stick the envelope in my bag until I can really look at it. I stood up and headed directly to the ring. Having Lillie and Enzo on my mind, I still had to focus on my mission tonight.

Before my Royal Rumble match, I had to face Dana Brooke first. As I hyped myself up, I heard my music start playing, so I burst through the curtain and headed outside.

Dana was waiting for me as the crowd cheered for me. She rolled her eyes, smacked her lips, and placed her hands on her hips.

I entered into the ring and stripped off my jacket, tossing it outside before getting ready to face her. The bell runs and she started off by demanding a microphone to start the match off with.

She was handed one as she said to me: "Well, well, well... Look what we have here, WWE Universe. We have the number one contender for the WWE Women's Championship... Or do we now? I have no idea. What happened to your friend? What was her name? Does anybody rem—"

Before she could say another word, I shut that shit down – no exceptions (Negan from TWD, though 😂). I snatched the mic from her and used it as a weapon to knock her out with. She fell to the ground and I was on her like white on rice.

We scrambled around with her being on top of me and my being on top of her. The ref had to get between to separate us. I ambushed her in the corner and held her back with my hand to reveal her exposed chest. I licked my hand and slapped her one good time, just like Trish Stratus used to do, and she winced and fell forward.

While she was down, I decided to come up beside her and knee her right in the face. She fell down, holding her head. I used the time to sneak up behind her and picked her up, suplexing her backwards. She hit her head and spun.

I waited for her very patiently in the corner because, when she spun back around, I dodged forward and speared her down to the ground. Immediately, I covered her and very easily received the one, two, three.

I didn't spend much time hanging around afterwards while Dana took some time getting herself up, anyways. Backstage, I was immediately greeted by a stagehand, who simply handed me a pure white envelope. I accepted it, obviously, and noticed that it had my name handwritten on there in very neat cursive writing.

I waited until I was in my own locker room, away from everyone else in a corner of the room. Very carefully, as if it would rip, I opened the envelope and popped the letter out onto my lap, laying it flat.

I gasped as I noticed who it was from. My mother. But she's dead. Has been for a year now. How is this even possible? Nevertheless, I read what she had to say from the grave:

My Dearest Eleanor,

There's a lot of things that you don't know. Things that involve me, that involve you, and both paths somehow lead to one man... Your real father. I always joked around with you about who he could be when, deep down, I knew who he really is. I shouldn't have fooled around with your feelings like I did, but I was just as reckless as you were, I guess.

I didn't think that professional wrestling would follow into your own genes, but they did and look at you now. I'm very proud of you, Ellie, and I know that I didn't say that enough while I was around. Your father is somebody they call "The Icon."

If you remember everything that I ever told you, even when I was joking around, you'll know who he is.

Remember, Ellie. Please remember for me, sweetheart.

I love you.

Sincerely, Mom

If I remember... But I don't. I don't know anything. I don't know who my father is and what they call him. My mother's just delusional, even when she's dead. I noticed the date written on the bottom, which was dated a year and a half ago. She wrote this months prior to her death.

She wants me to remember something. To remember somebody that I just don't and that I don't know if I want to remember or know at all, either.

I noticed the door to the locker room swing open and a very familiar face pop in. My face lit up and, so, I flew up. "Lillie!"

We collided in the middle of the crowded room full of Divas and it felt so great to be with my best friend again. Bless her heart because she had to hobble towards me. Her knee brace was still on.

"I missed you so very much, Ellie!" Lillie gushed, giggling. She started to tug on my arm and said, "C'mon! We've got to go!"

I allowed her to take me with her before asking, "Why? What's going on?"

All she would do is giggle before we were out in the hallway in front of the doorway to our locker room. Standing there was Enzo and Big Cass. I swung my arms around Enzo's neck and we embraced for a good minute. To Cass, I politely smiled and stood behind Lillie. Things between us was just way too awkward at the moment for anything more than that.

"So, what's up?" I asked her, signaling towards the guys.

Her smile spread from ear to ear as she was currently leaving me in suspense. "Okay, so," she grabbed my hands very tightly, "we wanted to take you out tonight."

   "We? Out?"

"Yes," she giggled, her cheeks flaming up with red. "Zo, Cass, and myself want to take you out after Raw tonight. Oh, and, uh... Carmella, too! She'll be here any minute now, actually."

Carmella? I gulped and my eyes shot up to meet Cass's, yet he wasn't looking down at me. He was purposely looking away from me.

"Yes, Carmella, silly," Lillie laughed, which told me that I had said that of what I thought aloud. "I know you'll be all alone. I'm sorry, but we wanted to take you out as just friends."

I simply nodded and accepted, "Yeah, that's fine. Don't worry about it."

   "I can invite Seth—"

"You will not," I ordered, cutting her off. "I'll be fine, I promise."

She eyed me, concerned. "You sure?"

With a fake smile, I nodded and she took that as my ultimate answer to it all. I didn't want to be in a relationship, but it really hurt to be around other couples, who, of course, I wish nothing but happiness upon, but it still hurts.

We pick the love that think we deserve.
