My last hours fly by in my ansyness. I'm anxious to go to the beach with Lance tonight. Next thing I know kids are shoving their way to their lockers, I stick close to the ceiling.

I snatch my bag from my locker and slam it shut. I flap hard out the door and head to the beach. It's a long fly there so I decide to take a quick three minute break. A navy blue jeep pulls up next to me.

"Hey." Lance called to me. "Want a ride?"

"Sure, Lance." I yell back.

"Scorch proof cases, just for you." He says patting the seat. I open the passenger door.

"Aww, how thoughtful!" I say in a fake girly monotone.

"You know, you're maliculously cute when you do things like that." He says, turning on the radio.

"In here we should be there in no time at all!" I say excitedly. I'd never actually been to the beach on account of having to stay on the run. I could never be in one place too long.

"Yup. Here." He hands me a pair of sunglasses with an ember red rim. "Put them on, you will look adorable." I smile at him.

"Fine." I laugh. I put on the glasses and he swerves. I fly forward and scream. Lance has his arm in front of my stomach to protect me. He swerves back to the lane as quick as he can. I'm breathing heavily, my eyes are huge and m heart is beating a mile a minute.

"I'm sorry, Anna."

"Th-that's okay." I say between gulps of air.

"I will make it up to you. I promise." I nod. Sunglasses still on, I get out of the car as we pull into the packed beach parking lot.

"Do you trust me?" I ask, pulling the old Aladin move on him. He gives me a look like I'm crazy. "Do. You. Trust. Me?"

"Yes... why?"

"Good." I say, grabbing his hand. I pull him up above the heads of the other people at the beach.

"Anna!" He yells, looking up at me.

"What, Lance?" I ask, looking down towards him.

"Let go of my hand!" He says loud enough for me to hear.

"What?! Are you crazy?!" I yell.

"Just do it, I'll be okay!" He says.

"I trust you enough to believe your word." I nod. I let go of his hand slowly. Once fully let go and falling he assumes a diving position. I fly loosely where I was when I let lance go.

I play with the rims of my sunglasses. Lance lands hard into the water still in assumed diving position. When he pops again, he becons for me to come down. I nod and slowly and gracefully fly over to the spot where he is.

"I need to show you something." He says. I'm a little worried. "Take my hand again, Anna." I carefully take his hand and pull him up. When I look down at him, I notice the shirt he was wearing before was gone. Replaced with a soft layer of skin with abs.

"Why are you shirtless, Lance? I thought the blow was hard but not that hard!"

"Keep looking down, Anna. You said you trusted me so prove it."

"This is no matter of proving trust, Lance! This is a matter of fear!" I look at him with longing eyes.

"Just look, prove to me you're not scared." He says.

"Fine." I roll me eyes and keep looking down. What comes next surprises me, an aqua and silver tail. A beautiful tail that's got me hypnotized. I couldn't believe it! A merman!
