Will you be the mother of my child? (Continued #2)

GEORGE:      When the flood subsided, the mommy gorilla crossed the river. And the gorillas were together again. Then I asked that Peace Corp volunteer, "Carma, will you be the mother of my child?" She said yes.

Burny makes a quiet sigh of awe. The African story is now etched in his mind and heart. Africa. A secret place of love.

A TABLEAU. Burny is in the classroom, scratching his neck. The TEACHER is gaping in shock. CLASSMATES are screaming in fear, running away from Burny whose neck is now aflame. Carma and George are talking to the stern-looking PRINCIPAL. Burny, wearing a splint over his neck bandage, is reading a book in his room. PEOPLE are whispering to each other as they stare at the Maddens in a restaurant.

CARMA:     (V.O.)    After several terrifying demon attacks that left his classmates traumatized, no school would admit Burny anymore. At home, he learned stuff like art and writing by himself though. But he became the source of my constant embarrassment.

EXT. CARMA MADDEN'S HOUSE/BACKYARD — DAY

We see Burny soaking up to his scarred neck in the fiberglass water tank. George comes with a bewildered look.

BURNY: I'm - I'm sorry, Dad. My body was itching all over. I thought I was gonna burn again. So I jumped in.

GEORGE:      You don't have to apologize, son.

EXT. CARMA MADDEN'S HOUSE/PORCH — DAY

Burny is writing on his note pad.
