We see a pool of viscous yellow liquid around the chair.

NONA:     (V.O.)   But the floor around the deceased is often covered with a sticky, foul-smelling oily yellow liquid.

EXT. CARMA MADDEN'S HOUSE/PORCH — DAY (LATER)

Nona is admiring the black leather and fiberglass dynamic anti-deformity splint that keeps Burny's hand in a neutral position (a low-load, prolonged stretch) until his hand returns to active function.

NONA:     Burny, yours is quite different. It's like a strike anywhere partial burning when your marbles are shaken.

She helps him give his hand some exercise.

NONA:     Hey, that Dr. Skinner dude could be talking some sense -- it just might be a mind thing.

Nona overstrains Burny's hand.

BURNY:     (grimacing)   Aw! Hey, easy...

NONA:     You're such a baby.   (runs her hand over the splint)   This splint is so cool. Gives you a gothic look.

BURNY:     Mother hates it.
