Africa (Continued)
GEORGE: You are now in Africa. Happy birthday!
BURNY: Holy shit.
GEORGE: Language, son. Don't talk like your mother.
Now we see a juxtaposition of images at the zoo: George and Burny having so much fun by the caged animals; Carma drinking past the point of sobriety; and Burny eating pop corn by the gorillas as George tells him an African story.
GEORGE: You know, son, gorillas always remind me of Africa. Of heaven on Earth...
CARMA: (V.O.) The local zoo for Africa. How pathetic can people get? I've been to Africa and it was nothing like any caged animal joint. I was there when God was still smiling at me. It was the happiest time of my life.
GEORGE: It was one of those torrential rains of Africa...
BEGIN BURNY'S FANTASY:
Animated depiction of George's story.
A river in Africa. A profuse downpour is drenching the forest. Raging floodwaters whelm the riverbanks.
GEORGE: (V.O.) A mommy gorilla and her baby were trapped in rising floodwaters in the upper Zambezi River.
A MOTHER GORILLA AND HER YOUNG are trapped at a steep thirty-foot high bank. The mother's one hand is holding on to a tiny root of a tree.
