A/n mention of animal cruelty.

Elizabeth's P.O.V

Surprisingly even though I left the lab a little bit late,I still got to the airport before the B.A.U did.I asked someone and they said there jet would be here soon,they departed late due to bad weather. So I stood by the Hummer and waited for the jet to arrive.As I stand in silence my mind wanders to a place not far from here where I rescued my dog Rex.

You see I had just been walking along the waters edge,checking for any dropped evidence from a suspect that had been caught five minutes ago by Wolf, when I noticed something black in the water not to far out. Curious I walked closer to the edge and what I saw sickened me, someone had tied a large rock to a border collie dog and left it to die.I set my camera down,took off my blue gloves and walked out to the dog cautiously, even the dog could be friendly, it could still attack being scared.

I reached the dog and took off the rock that was attached to the dog and carefully picked up the animal and made my way back to the bank. Once there I made sure the dog is alive before gathering my things and taking the dog to the local vets. The vet told me that the dog is one year old, a male and had been in the water for five hours.

A/n this is Rex.

I returned to the lab and went to change my trainers which are soaked. I am just undoing one when Horatio approaches me,I took off the trainer and a lot of water spilled onto the floor
"Why are your feet wet?" H asks
"Oh I went in the water to get a dog" I tell him taking off my other trainer and the same happens again
"What happened?" H asks,sitting down beside me
"I was checking for evidence,when I saw something black in the water. I went to see what it was and it was a border collie-someone had left the dog to die" I say angry.

"What did the vet say?" H asks,knowing animal neglect bothers me
"They said the dog is about one year old and had been in the water for five hours" I tell him
"Thanks to your kind heart, the dog will live" H tells me,that's the thing about Horatio. He always checks on his team. I am pulled back from my thoughts with the sound of an approaching jet. I watch as the familiar jet of the B.A.U comes to a stop on the tarmac, the engines shut down and the door opens.

And of course the first off the jet is Penelope Garcia
"Lizzy" Garcia shouts, running over to me the best she can in her heels. Only the girls call me Lizzy
"Hey Pen,its been too long" I say to the excited blonde. We hug as the others pile off the jet. Behind Garcia is Prentiss then JJ,Morgan,Hotch,Spencer and his sister Leonora "Hey Leonora, I like your sparkly blue high tops"
"Me too" Garcia says happy
"Thank you guys" Leonora says.

"How is the fluffy Spencer?" I ask
"He is fine,as cute and helpful as ever" Leonora tells me
"Unlike the bigger Spencer" I tease
"Hey" Spencer says
"How's my Farfallina?" My uncle David Rossi asks me
"I'm great uncle" I say giving him a big hug.

"Any boys I should know about?" Davis asks me
"No..." I say
"What,a beautiful lady like you, I was expecting you to be married by now" David says
"Nope, not yet" I say
"Do you have eyes on someone?" Prentiss asks
"Well...I..." I stutter.

"Oh my god she does" JJ says smirking
"JJ leave Elizabeth alone" Morgan tells her
"Thanks Morgan" I say
"So who is he?Do we know him?" Garcia asks
"That's the point of a secret crush, its ment to be secret" Leonora says
"Exactly" I say
"Ladies we should be leaving" Hotch says"You can catch up later."
