— NIK'S NORMAL IN-RING ATTIRE —
"YOU can't do a split," Mikey laughed, rolling his eyes at the idea of it. "Most women can, sure, when they have been in gymnastics — but you can't."
"I so can," I tested him, feeling a little bit offended that he didn't automatically believe me. Candice was sitting on the apron and giggling to herself. "I can prove it to you, too."
"Then, show me," he pressed and walked in a hurry towards where he could see the split from the other side of the ring. Patrick followed him and they positioned themselves. "Let's go, girly."
"I'm going to make you choke on those words," I growled and hopped up to the apron. Even with the distance, I could've sworn that I heard him utter something like: "Yeah, and I'll like for you to choke on something else of mine..."
[ A/N: I couldn't resist 😂 ]
Nevertheless, after I rolled my eyes, I pointed to them and, then, BAM! I did the split, proving to them once and for all, that I can do the split with perfection. Automatically, both Mikey and Patrick's mouth flew open in shock... Or, lust.
I walked through the ring to their side and hung over the top ropes while Candice was still sitting on the apron and laughing at their reactions. "So," I smiled and eyed them down below. "You were saying...?"
Patrick finally closed his mouth and gulped, blinking and shaking his head. "I owe you twenty bucks, I suppose," he said and I nodded.
Mikey, mouth still wide, finally began to readjust his jaw. Shaking his head, he finally broke-through with a tasteful grin and slowly nodded. "Damn, Nik," he breathed out, eyeing me flirtatiously. "Would you marry me instead?"
I rolled my eyes and hopped down to the ground with them. "I would marry Candice before I would marry you, sweet-cakes," I deadpanned, even though, in a small way, I was kidding. I placed my hand on his left cheek and playfully patted it, then turned around to walk over to Candice.
"Is it wrong that I wouldn't mind that since, y'know, you two would make-out all the time?" Mikey smirked, seeing the bright side in any situation, apparently. Patrick hit his chest and Mikey stared at him. "What? It would be so hot, like damn."
With that said, I placed my hands on Candice's knees and leaned in, biting down on my bottom lip. "Maybe we should..."
When I went to lean in to kiss Candice, a hand suddenly slipped in between our almost connecting lips and I peeked my eyes open to see whose hand that I was about to make-out with. "Hey," Johnny called out. "I left you two alone for five minutes and I come back to this? What the hell, Candice and Nik?"
Candice and I began to laugh uncontrollably while Mikey growled under his breath and rolled his eyes. "What the hell, Johnny?!" Mikey exclaimed, all in this huff and puff. "You just ruined something that could've been great for my entertainment!"
"You do know that we weren't actually going to do that, right?" I laughed, eyeing Mikey in suspicion. His face fell and I giggled more. "We wouldn't do that to Johnny, idiot."
"Oh," he breathed out and placed his hands on his hips. He looked to be in an awkward position now. "Right. Of course. I-I mean... Sure. Cool. It's whatever. I knew that."
"You're an idiot," I said to him and, taking that as it was, he turned his back and began to walk away. I felt bad, so I ran over him. "Wait!" He stopped and I touched his arm. "You didn't let me finish... Because, what I was going to say was, you're my idiot. Forever."
"Really?" His eyes filled with hearts and hope. "Forever?"
"Definitely," I smiled and leaned up, kissing him on the cheek. "I would marry you... In another life." I kept his hopes and confidence high, but he knew — deep down — it would never happen. Obviously since I'm getting married to Pete one of these days.
With that said, he took that and practically ran with it. Legitimately since he and Patrick took off after this while I drifted back over to Johnny and Candice. They were talking just as I walked up.
"Shhhh," Candice shushed him, sticking her index finger to his mouth.
"Hey, I was gonna tell you the same thing," Johnny whispered back and pulled away from her finger to his face.
What the hell? "What are you two shushing each other for?" I asked, obviously wanting to know if it was about me or not. I mean, it was kind of weird that it started to happen when I walked up.
"Nothing," they said in unison together, turning to look at each other in suspense and surprise. Candice turned to me and smiled, reassuring me. "It's nothing. I promise, Nik."
"I... I don't believe you," I stammered out and eyeing her suspiciously. Johnny, bless his heart, can't hold fucking water, so I turned to him with my doe-like eyes. "Johnny... What is it?"
"I-I—"
"Don't you dare, Johnny!" Candice cut him off before he could get started, slapping a hand over his mouth. "I will divorce you! I swear that I will! Don't you dare, Jonathan!"
"I'm not. I swear," he muffled through her hand and, with that said, she slowly removed it. Then, before Candice could blink, Johnny suddenly blurted out: "Trevor told Bianca that he loved her last night!"
"WHAT THE FUCK?!"
"Johnny!" Candice exclaimed after I cursed aloud, others looking over here to us now. "I told you to shut up!"
"I-I couldn't hold back," he nervously replied, scratching the back of his head awkwardly. "Bianca was gonna probably tell her, anyways."
"Not exactly," Candice spat back, eyeing him with an evil glare.
"What the hell happened?" I asked, trying to put two-and-two together. What the actual fuck is going on now? "Tell me."
"Okay," Candice sighed after rolling her eyes, but for Johnny, not me. "Trevor told Johnny, who told me, that he told Bianca that he loved her last night, but... He didn't mean to."
"What's that even mean?" I questioned, pulling my eyebrows in together. "How did he... Oh, shit. No."
"Yes," Candice sighed. "He told her and she freaked the fuck out. Like, for real. See, he was leaving to go to the gym, so he kissed and, when he did, he muttered out in a hurry that he loved her. In a way, he didn't really mean it, y'know? But, as we all know, Trev didn't have the heart to tell her that."
"Fuck," I breathed out and shook my head. "Bianca didn't even slightly think that it was too early for that before she started to freak the fuck out?"
"Guess not," Candice shrugged. "We know Bianca, though..."
"Then, we all know that Trevor can't ever escape this relationship now," Johnny added on to the conversation. "Is it bad that I feel kinda bad for him? I mean... He only got with Bianca because he couldn't be with Nik— Oh, shit."
My face fell and so did Candice's, who looked like she was about to punch him in the face. She hopped down from the apron and faced Johnny. "Johnny... Why would you say that for?"
"Trevor has feelings for me?" I asked, kind of surprised and not at the same time. I always had suspicion, but never a confirmation. "Like, no bullshit, does he?"
"Nik, I'm...," Johnny tried to say without making matters even worse. "Nik, c'mon, I wasn't suppose to say anything. Trev will kill me if he found out that I told you."
"Explain it to me, then," I demanded, stomping my foot. For whatever reasons, I had tears in my eyes. I was angry... sad... hurt... More than anything, I felt bad for Bianca. If she ever found out, it would not end good. "Explain it all to me."
"Okay, so," Candice spoke for him instead. "That night at the party, Trev was finally going to tell you how he felt. Then..."
"Then," Johnny picked up exactly where she left off at, "he obviously got drunk and that all went downhill. He kissed you, not knowing what happened until the next day when I filled-in the blanks for him."
"He felt so bad about it that he couldn't even look at himself in the mirror," Candice continued, as they kept the story going piece-by-piece. "He told Johnny that he was going to finally tell you the next day after the kiss since most of the damage had been done."
"I told him not to because it would ruin everything," Johnny claimed with a sigh. "It would ruin your friendship with him, with Bianca, and — above all — your engagement with Pete, if you chose to tell him."
"Then, he left and we didn't hear anything from him again," Candice began to end the story with a huff. "That is, until Bianca told us what happened. That was a total surprise to me and Johnny both."
"Wait," I somehow found my voice again and held my hand up. I was so damn confused. My mind was now in spider-webs. "So, he told you, Johnny, that he was only with Bianca because he couldn't be with me?"
"Nik..."
"Just tell me, Johnny!" Both him and Candice fell silent, looking away and avoiding the question as a whole. "That's bullshit."
Then, spinning around on my heel, I began to storm away from them with Candice's pleads to stay and talk, but I didn't want to hear it.
For once, all I wanted was to be alone.
• W O A H... Too early for the tea to be spilled? All well 🤷🏻♀️ This isn't the end to THAT conversation 🤭 More to come... 😘 All the love .xx •
