Adam Yilmaz Pov

"Adam, it's me, Amanda."

"Amanda!" I stiffened "Where the hell are you?"

"I'm sorry you had to cut your honeymoon short" she didn't sound sorry at all, if anything she was glad we had to come back home.

"I don't give a fuck about that! Where are you?" I felt Lena's soft hand rest on mine and looked into her eyes. It seemed as if she was begging me to calm down. I let out a heavy sigh. "Amanda, what happened?" I asked in a softer tone.

"I messed up Adam, I'm so sorry. Take care of our little girl please, I'll be back for her when I'm ready."

I let out a snicker "Are you kidding me? I sure will take care of her but you won't see her again. I still can't believe you let a stranger hurt her."

"I can't tell you where I am, and what exactly happened. But you have every right to be mad at me, heck I'm mad at me! I just need you to know that leaving her behind was the best thing I could have done for her after getting myself into this mess."

"What mess? Just tell me, maybe I can help?"

"No, you can't. I already have someone helping me... It will be okay Adam, hopefully. Kiss Emily for me, will you?"

I was starting to feel exasperated and didn't know what to say at this point. She didn't want to tell me what happened and didn't want my help either. I was feeling helpless. I may not be able to help Amanda but one thing was for sure, I would do everything I could to give my daughter the life she deserves.

"Fine. Call me if you change your mind." I hung up on her and looked at Lena "She wouldn't tell me what happened."

Lena got on her feet and held out her hand for me to take it. Once my hand was in hers, she led me toward the house silently. I had no idea what her plans were but I knew she had my best interest at heart.

"I think you should spend some quality time with Emily. Since you learned she is your daughter you only spent one evening with her. Phone calls don't count. We are going to change that! First, you're going to take a shower and get dressed while I get  her ready, and then you'll take her out for pizza and ice cream."

"By myself?"

Lena giggled nodding her head "You can be the scariest man when you need to and now you seem scared to spend some alone time with your daughter?"

I shrugged shoving my hands in my pockets looking around uncomfortably.

"Yes Adam, by yourself. I'm sorry but you have to get used to it."

"Are you... leaving me?" a rush of panic spread through my veins. Just moments ago she agreed to move in with me and now she's leaving? I felt lost and dizzy.

Suddenly Lena stopped walking and turned around briskly, a wildfire burning in her eyes. She was mad. She closed the distance between us and cupped my face with her small hands before capturing my lips into hers and kissing me like there was no tomorrow. For a moment I forgot about Amanda and what she did to Emily. I forgot about the pain I saw in Emily's eyes. And most importantly, I forgot the fear of Lena walking out on me.

"I think that answers your question," she said still a little out of breath.

I nodded and wrapped my arms around her tiny body nuzzling the crook of her neck taking in her vanilla perfume. We spent a few minutes in a warm embrace before going back inside. Emily was already in her pajamas drawing with Elise. Mason and Zachary weren't home yet. I pecked Emily's cheek before going upstairs to get ready.

We still hadn't unpacked yet so I made a mess of my suitcase in order to get black jeans and a black t-shirt with my white vans. I looked around Lena's room and smirked. She is so going to kill me when she sees the state of her room.

"Oh looks like daddy is ready" I turned around when I heard Lena's voice and smiled.

"I am yes." I took a long stride toward her closing the distance "Are you sure you don't want to come with us?"

"Hmmm, you smell so good! I love that aftershave on you" she kissed me gently and pulled away "I would love to go with you but I think this is something you should do alone. And I'll be waiting here for you, we can try for a baby?"

"Seriously Lena? You want me to go after telling me this?" I chuckled shaking my head "We won't be out for long. Is she ready?"

"She is. She's so excited to go out with you, she even dressed up for the occasion" we chuckled together as we made our way downstairs. Luckily for me, Lena didn't notice the chaos in her bedroom.

"Hey, angel! You ready to go?"

"Oh, daddy you look handsome. How do I look?" she made a twirl making her dress swirl around.

"You look like a beautiful princess" she jumped up and down in happiness before throwing herself at me and hugging me tightly. I picked her up in my arms and made my way to the door.

"Daddy wait!"

"Yes, Emily? You forgot something?"

"No but you did!" she exclaimed and pointed at Lena. I turned around a frown "We should wait for Lena to get ready too"

"Oh sweetie I'm not going, tonight is about you and your dad. I'll be waiting for you here."

"Nooo, you have to come! I want you to come!"

"Emily? Why can't we go together and Lena will go with us next time eh?"

Emily pouted slouching her shoulders looking away and refusing to look at me. That wasn't going to be easy. I put her down and crouched before her making her look at me.

"Why are you upset Emily?"

"Isn't Lena my new mommy?"

"Uuhh..." I looked at Lena who seemed as surprised as I was "Yeah I guess she's your new mommy, why?"

"I want my new mommy to go out with us. I want to have fun with you two together."

I could tell Lena was as baffled as I was and maybe even more. I knew Emily liked her right away, I mean who wouldn't? She was always cheery and had this bubbly personality that no one could resist. But I never thought she could replace Amanda so easily. Lena and I exchanged a look before she went upstairs to change only to be followed by Emily.

I sighed getting up and saw Elise leaning on the doorframe with a smile on her face. Seeing Elise could always calm me, and give me a sense of reassurance.

"What are you smiling about?"

"I'm happy that everything is working out the way it's supposed to be."

"How so?"

"For instance, you and Lena are finally together, you are moving in together and also raising a kid together. Starting a family together was your dream, and now you get to live it. Just don't mess it up."

"I'll do my best not to." I shifted on my right foot "But I have a question, don't you feel it weird that she already replaced her mom?"

"She never said she has. Look Adam what she's been through isn't easy on anyone, let alone a four-year-old girl. She felt threatened and abandoned by Amanda but she felt safe with Helena."

"Yeah I guess she was pretty shaken up"

"She was terrified. She's just trying to belong with you and to adapt to your life. At this age, she needs a role model, and she saw how much you and Helena care for each other. Her love and attachment to you will grow and she'll feel the same about Helena."

"Maybe you're right. I hope I won't let either of them down."

"I have a feeling you won't. Well, the kitchen is calling me, I need to make dinner before Zach comes home hungry like a wolf."

I grinned watching her disappear behind the kitchen's door, no one could handle a hungry Zachary Walton. Lena and Emily came down giggling. It looked like Emily changed her clothes so she would match what Lena was wearing. It was nice seeing them like that together but it still felt odd.

"You are cleaning my room when we get back" she winked and led the way outside to my car.

"As long as we're still trying for a baby, I don't mind" I whispered in her ear making her blush before getting in.

We decided to go to the mall where we'd have more activities to do. First, we had pizza which was Emily's choice, and then we went to the game center where Emily lost it and became unstoppable. She was so happy running from one game to another, she seemed to have forgotten my existence as all she wanted to do was to play with Lena. She only remembered I was there when she needed coins or tickets for a new game. I was her own moving bank.

"Alright, you two! Time to go home"

"No daddy I want to watch a movie" she whined making me roll my eyes. It was like she knew I wouldn't say no to her and was using me against me with those puppy eyes of hers.

"What do you think Lena?"

"I think you shouldn't be a buzz kill! We girls are happy and having fun, aren't we partner?"

"We are yes. And I'm choosing the movie!" she ran out of the game center heading toward the escalators.

"You're just delaying the baby-making aren't you?" I asked Lena as we followed Emily.

"Absolutely not!" she burst in laughter and left me behind while running off with Emily to the theater.

I chuckled joining them. Seeing them happy made me happy and right now that's all I cared about. We ended up watching an animated movie about talking pets. I fell asleep a couple of times only to be woken up by a very excited Emily.

By the time we got home, Emily was fast asleep in the back seat looking so peaceful and angelic. I carried her to the bedroom she was sleeping in and tucked her in bed after Lena managed to get her into her pajamas.

"Quite a night huh!" I threw myself on her bed closing my eyes.

"Does that mean you are too tired to... you know make a baby?" Lena said straddling me and taking her top off.

"I can never be tired when it comes to that"

I let out a groan when she pulled my black shirt off and threw it on the floor over the pile of clothes. I felt her suck on my earlobe before skimming her tongue slowly down my neck only to stop on my shoulder. She sucked on my skin leaving love bites here and there while she trailed her manicured finger lower and lower to my waistband. Lena took her time working on my pants as she teasingly licked my abs earning a moan from me.

"Stop teasing..." I whispered pulling her up to me so I could devour her lips.
