Lana's POV

I toss the car keys onto the round table as I walk over to the king size bed, exhausted and bored. I kick off my shoes and drop myself onto the cloud like mattress. Today was a long day, and even though I am exhausted as fuck, I would do it all over again. Cara is quite different from the others, almost childlike, yet, she isn't. She can be acting like a 10 year old one second and then on my lap the next, forcefully kissing me. She is so charismatic and likable, electric. I haven't felt this way around someone in a long, long time.

I feel a vibration in the back pocket of my jean shorts and I groan. I get my phone out from my back pocket and use all my strength to pick my head up to look at the screen. I am surprised by what I see. 6 missed calls from Ben, 2 text from Blake and the most recent one, a text from Rose. I unlock my screen and laugh at the two pictures that Blake sent me. I type out a quick reply and decide to call back Ben before seeing what Rose wants now. He picks up on the first ring, uh oh.

"Lana, where in the hell are you?" He asks angrily.

"Artenia." Is all I say.

"Artenia? Artenia!?" he's angry. "You were suppose to be on your way to Colorado already!"

I sigh. "Relax, Ben. I'll be there."

"When!? I-"

"By Monday. I'm leaving tomorrow. Relax." I hear him sigh on the other end on the line, collecting himself.

"You better be here by Monday Lana or so help me god-"

"I'll be there. I just wanted to stay another day."

In that moment, I hear the door to the room open and I turn and see Chuck making her way in. She makes a questionable face, asking who I am talking to. I tell her to hold on and go back to listen to what my manager is ranting about.

"-monday. No later Lana I'm serious."

"Okay, okay. I'll see you then."

"Monday."

"Alright, bye." I end the call before he can say anything else and scoot higher on the bed. I rest my head on the bed frame and go back to my messages.

"Who was that?" Chuck asks.

"Ben." I say. I delete the message from Rose automatically after reading it and put my phone down. I don't have the energy anymore.

"Oh," she says."What did he want?"

"To know why I wasn't on my way to Colorado already."

I feel something land on top of my head and I open my eyes to remove it. My shirt.

"I told you he would be mad about us staying." she says.

I sit up and start to remove my clothes.

"Yeah well." I look over at Chuck. She has already started to put on her PJ's and is making her way to the bathroom. "How'd it go with Keegan?"

I hear the faucet turn on and a couple movements before she replies.

"Good, we were riding around town then stopped to pick up some subs and ate them at a small park." she says. I slide my panties off of my legs and toss them in the pile of clothes on the floor, and finally pull my over sized shirt over my head.

"How'd things go with Cara?" She asks muffled. Must be brushing her teeth. I get up then and decide to do the same.

"Good." I answer. "Dropped her off and drove to a bar afterwards and hung out there for a while."

She seems surprised by this but nods and I squirt some toothpaste onto my tooth brush and bring it to my mouth. After brushing my teeth I wash my face and decide to use the restroom before going to bed. I turn off the bathroom light and walk over to the window in the main room, sliding the curtain to the side and opening the window.

I finally walk over to the bed and snuggle in, sliding over the covers. I close my eyes and get to relax my body a bit before I feel Chuck moving.

"Lizzy." she whispers.

"What Chuckie." I ask, tired and a little annoyed. Today was exhausting and I want to go to sleep already.

"I like Cara," I open my eyes. The moonlight coming in from the window allows me to see her face in the dark and I see it wear nothing but worry and sadness. "Please don't hurt her."

I bring my hand up and stroke her cheek.

"Go to sleep Chuckie." her face grows more pitiful and she looks down before looking up at me one last time. She gives up and snuggles closer to me. I hug her to my body and think about what she said one last time before closing my eyes.
