Chapter One: Nice to Meet you

For some people everyday is the same, once you develop a routine it kinda sticks with you. For others the chaos of not knowing is the best part of their day, Luna Jenning's job was always chaotic and there wasnt a day where she expected anything less. This job kept her on her toes and it wasnt like she didnt have her guard up already. The fact of the matter is being a woman was hard being a women with immense power well that just pissed anybody off any sexist piece of scum anyday, today lucikly there was no sexist in sight,   a woman locked herself in the bathroom, while a man was banging on the door aggressively upon the two officers arrival.

"Bloody hell, go away!"  the woman was shouting through the door.

" Sir, hands in the air. Sir, hands in the air."

The man in question turns relief washing over his face as he sees that help has arrived.

" Oh, good..." he pauses when he realises he was been detained. " What? What the hell are you doing?" He asks as Luna is already cuffing him. " Look, I didn't do anything. Okay?"

" All right, we'll sort this out later."

"Okay. Look..."

"Here. Take him out of here" Luna hands the man off to Linsey, the other officer on the scene.

"There's something happening to my wife." he yeels behind him as hes being dragged away.

" Miss, LAPD here. Are you all right? " Athena knocks on the door. "Everything's okay. Your husband's out of the house. I'm not gonna let him hurt you" the wife opens the door looking around " It's okay. Everything's fine."

" I don't know what set him off. He's acting absolutely bonkers. I mean, I mean, we get into an argy-bargy every fortnight or so. He'll go to spare,-do his nut, but he never goes mad like this." the woman starts having giant hiccups gasping for air after each one, her british accent was thick.

"Sit down." the woman takes a seat on the bed.

"  Oh. Wow, those are some world-class hiccups."

" I'm sorry, it's so embarrassing. I woke up half nine with a migraine, had a spot of tea, and they just started. An hour later and I can't get rid of them."

" Okay, can you tell me what happened?" Athena asks as the wife tells them everythin. She starts off by saying how they got into a fight and she throws a picture frame at him to stop him from hurting her before running into the bathroom. She asks to go see her husband and they lead her to the staircase where a few members from the firehouse 118 are examining him.

."David, the bobbies are asking if I want to press charges."

" The "bobbies"? Baby, there is something wrong with you." The husband says as Athena purses her lips at the man.

" Ma'am, you don't have to decide right now.  We can take him..."

" No, Officer, you don't understand." David stands up.

" I understand just fine." Athena mutters.

" No, you don't. She's not British." Athena gives him and incredulous look. " Yeah, that's not her voice. She was born in Brooklyn. The bobbies? The closest she's ever been to England is binge-watching episodes of Downton Abbey." The husband explains as everyone is now looking at the wife the gears in Luna's head are already turning, Athena could see that the genius was thinking.

" I don't know what he's talking about. David, you're frightening me."

" Look, we woke up this morning, and she just starts speaking like that. It's bloody this, bloody that. A spot of tea. All this weird British slang that I've never heard before. At first, I thought she was joking, but then it didn't stop, and I don't know what the hell's going on. So, I try to take her to the hospital. She freaked out, so I called 911."

" Did she hit her head? Was she in an accident recently?" Everyone was asking questions as Athena looks at her partner.

"Stardust, what are you thinking about over there?"

"I-," Luna sees all eyes on her. She feels her face heat up, before clearing her throat. "She said she woke up with a migraine, that and violent hiccups coupled with Obvious chest pains,  I-I Think she is having a stroke,"

"A stroke? Wouldn't she have slurred speech or paralysis or something?" Davis the husband asks as Luna shakes her head no .

" Not necessarily,  A man would, but a woman learns that symptoms can be different."

"Big-ass hiccups is one of them." Athena finishes for her partner as Bobby Nash is shining a pin light in the woman's eyes.

"She's right. Stick your tongue out for me." She does so with a slight slant. "When's your birthday?" she thinks for a moment not being able to remember and Bobby helps her down the stairs. Before they load her up in the ambulance taking her away. Athena just fistbumps her partner wiggling her fingers at her as she laughs, they pull on their aviators getting into the squad car and leaving.

After a long day all Luna wanted to do was go for a nice work out. She spent four hours at the gym before deciding to leave. Making a list of what she needed from the store figuring she could kill two birds with one stone and get her shopping done while she was already out. Also seeing as she had no food and couldn't keep living off of slim jims forever. She was walking down the cereal Aisle trying to figure out which one she liked. It was the longest debate of her life, does she go with Frosted Flakes? Or Cinnamon Toast Crunch,

They were good but oh so bad for her. Why were the best things always so bad for you? or does she stick to her Original brand Honey Nut Cheerios? She was minding her business when she sees a guy past by, he was helping an adorable little boy with glasses and arm canes pick out a cereal, she wasn't trying to be nosy, but they were so cute, he bends down to get the cereal the child wants before standing back up, his wallet drops on the floor with a thud and he doesn't notice it just continues on his way, with the adorable child.

She puts both options into her cart before hurriedly walking up and picking up the wallet, she looks around not seeing the man anywhere and scours the store for him, she sees him at a nearby register looking patting at his pockets, she walks over cautiously, after all this was LA and people were really crabby all the time.

"Excuse me, I believe you dropped this."  Her voice was small like always, she only ever spoke up when she was with Athena any other time she was quiet and mousy.

"Thank You so much, I must've dropped it." he says as Luna smiles at how polite he was taking note of how hot he was, His Jawline was nice and Chiseled, twinkling brown eyes and a genuine smile, he was truly sculpted by picasso, beautiful human's only come through life ever so often and this man was a beautiful human.

"Uh-okay bye." she says quickly, as the man just Furrows his brows at the woman, looking at her fleeting figure as she walks away, probably going to hide in the cold food section for a while.

"Dad!" Christopher, his son laughs grabbing his attention, he looks down at his son before pulling his card out of his wallet and paying for the groceries. Still thinking about the mysterious woman who found his wallet and left abruptly.

The problem with living in such a big place was that there was shortcuts and roundabouts everywhere.

"LAPD!" Luna  was chasing after a guy in the alley he had been caught stealing from the cash register at a minmart when the cashier wasn't looking, "LP-7120, suspect is rabiting heading towards, east fifteenth street, requesting immediate backup and medical."

She continues chasing after the guy seeing him run into a very crowded street, 

"Fuck." she mutters looking around for him, she looks at the building next to her following the crowd through the reflection, she sees the guy looking around and hops through the crowd quietly, he spots Luna and panics grabbing a nearby random woman and pressing a knife to her throat, the crowd clears out and she groans. Waiting for Athena who was catching up in the squad car.

"Hey, easy, why don't we just talk?" she holsters her weapon looking around. This was her expertise in her field; she knew how to get herself out of sticky situations. She takes a breath, her goal was to save everyone even the bad guy, she thinks for a moment before looking at the guy, his eyes were squirrelly, sweat was pooling on his forehead.

"I will slice this bitch's throat think I won't?" he asks as she moves one arm slowly  behind her back feeling for her pepper spray.

"I believe you man, but she has nothing to do with this."  she continues to fiddle with the pepper spray. She had to be quick, "Do me a favor when I say Duck, you duck." she looks towards the woman who nods.

"Duck what do you mean?"

"Duck!"

In one swift motion she throws the heavy bottle of spray at the man's face, as he groans clutching his nose and Luna then tackles him to the ground. She places a foot on his back. Just as the woman comes up to her sobbing grabbing onto her for dear life as Luna consoles her, Her partner shows up, cuffing the man as Athena radioes their location checking on the woman, after loading the man up in the backseat, with a bandage on his nose the two partners take him back to the precinct.

The partners were decicing on where to lunch when  they were called to the scene of a motorcycle accident, the guy was torn in half, Athena and Luna were trying their best to console the man who was confused, as Bobby Nash arrived with the rest of his crew.

"Where's the captain?" she spots Bobby and Athena walks up to him leaving Luna to comfort the man, Athena was talking with Captain Nash before, they both arrived next to the man..

"So stupid. What time is it? I have to get home. Meg's gonna lose it. She's gonna frickin' lose it. Ethan's probably still outside."

" Who's Ethan?" Bobby asks as Luna stands and moves back a bit to let them work.

"My son. He's on the porch, he's waiting for me, he's... outside, waiting for me. I told him to, so he could see me come home. How long before you guys have me out of here? I'm so frickin' late."

" Right now, your comfort is our priority, so I want you to just take a deep breath, try to stay still and relax."  Bobby says as theirs a vibrating noise heard, Bobby pulls the guys  phone out of his pocket,

" Oh, it's him. Okay. Hey. Hey, buddy. Hey, pal. Yeah, I know, I'm sorry, buddy. I'm late, I know, I'm trying. I'm try... yeah, I got it. I got it, like we said. 96 Twin Cam engine, yeah." He laughs a bit as Bobby just holds the phone to his ear. "1,560 CCs, cherry red... Oh, it's bad. It's bad, just like the one we saw online. Oh, it cooks, buddy. I was hauling up Alameda like a badass. Yeah, like a real Hells Angel. Your old dad was like a new man, buddy, I'm telling you. Uh, hey, and don't tell Mom: this thing is a chick magnet. Yeah, yeah. I was on top of the world, pal, but let me tell you something." His speech was slowing down, his heart rate was declining, he was dying. " I would have felt just as good if I was on a ten-speed bike, 'cause I knew I was coming home to you." there's a long pause as his blue eyes are practically fighting for more time. "  I love you, son." There was that sound that Death Rattle and he was gone, Maya the other officer on the call takes the phone from Bobby as he walks away hyperventilating, Athena and Luna look at one another, they follow the firefighter seeing him trying to catch his breath on a nearby sidewalk.

" Hey." Athena places a hand on his shoulder.

" I'm sorry, that was unprofessional."

" Oh, no one bats a thousand. Not with the things we got to see every day." Athena takes a seat on the curb, next to Bobby. " When I'm on duty, this is who I need to be. But the second I walk through my door at night, I turn into a completely different person. Everybody here today looks like they're holding it together. No doubt, they're going through a box of tissues tonight."

"Death is an irreversible cessation of all biological functions that sustain an organism." Luna replies taking a seat on the other side of Bobby he simply looks at her. "Sorry I babble when I am nervous, in this case, my anxiety is through the roof."  Luna replies as Athena just smiles at her partner, Bobby had only met Luna a few times, she rarely spoke, but she was always nice to him.

"Anything I can do to help you with this one?" Athena asks the man who turns to look at her this time.

"Yeah. Will you go somewhere with me?" he asks as the woman hesitates for a bit, before nodding. They make separate plans, and the two partners wrap up the scene before wrapping up their day

What does one do when they have free time? Rewatch Twilight for the one hundredth time. Of course when you run out of snacks then desperate times call for desperate measures and this meant she needed to get more rations, and yet somehow she found herself at the movie store again even with Twilight still paused on her tv at home. Call her old fashioned but she loved dvd's. The video store was quiet, they also sold records, and video games, she was scrolling through the section of records. She knew she shouldn't have come. A  trip for more ice cream and snacks. Now resulted in finding a few more movies and of her  trying to update her record collection. 

A crash was heard and she followed the noise seeing a man with his back turned trying to pick up a mess of dvd's and video games that had fallen off the very cheaply made shelf, it was right in the middle of the room, which of course would cause people to bump into it. This poor man was scrambling to pick up all the plastic cases and not a person was in sight to help, she cursed at herself for being so nice and walked over tucking her record and the few movies she wanted to watch under her arm, bending down to help the man. 

The two were picking up the dvd's in quick mess, not even bothering to arrange them the way they were before this mess happened, as their hands touched, her eyes meeting his, he furrows his brows as she feels her face get hot, she says. Nothing letting out a quiet gasp and looking away, she was not about to talk to a cute guy looking the way she did. Her hair was in a messy bun and she had star shaped pimple patches in a few places on her face. Besides it wasn't like she was just so casual with anybody other than Athena anyway. She continues stacking the dvd's as the guy is now trying to get her to look at him. His head moving about with her nervousness.

"I know you."

"No you do not." she replies a bit too quickly grabbing movies and videogames careful not to mix the two up. Her voice came out colder than she intended. She quickly stands up, slipping on a few stray movies, she steps wrong trying to catch herself before she falls and failing miserably , the guy simply grabs her,  both hands on her wrist steadying her, their faces very close. Oddly close, Luna  just grimaces before turning around, she winces slightly  before removing  herself out of his grasp, she slinks away with a slight limp debating on if she should leave entirely from embarrassment without purchasing anything or just hideaway in nearby corner for a few minutes and then leave. She decides to just tough it out seeing as she found a few good jems that she actually really wanted to watch and made her way over to the register waiting in line.

"Let me take a look," a voice says and she turns away, her social anxiety isn't letting this conversation happen, she simply lets out a mouse-like sound and continues to wait in line trying to hide from the looks of the person waiting infront of her.

"Your hurt may I take a look?" the man from earlier asks and she simply acts if he isnt there, as if this entire interaction is a fever dream and in a few minutes everything will be a big dream and she will wakeup and laugh about it.

The man laughs in disbelief as if he couldnt understand that she was ignoring him because of her anxiety and not because she didnt like him. Nonetheless he still tries to ask her again and she just sighes out turning to face him.

"I'm okay thankyou." the line moves forward and at last she is next to make her purchase, the man simply rolls his eyes at her stubbornness and bends down grabbing her foot in process.

"Uh, what are you doing?" Luna asks rather loudly as the person in front of her looks back.

"Are you okay? Is this guy bothering you?" the woman asks hand on her purse to indicate she was packing heat and could help her if she needed. Luna just nods The woman nods back returning to her purchase as Luna's eyes are about to bulge out of her head

"The woman infront of us might shoot you if dont chill out."

"Right cause im one thats freaking out," He chuckles and continues  The cashier hands her the items and she slowly puls her ankle from the man's grasp.

"I really should get going, I have Ice cream in the car." she explains as the guy nods.

"It seems like you have just a sprain, put some..."

"Ice on it and elevate, I got it thankyou..." she nods her head waiting for him to say his name.

"Eddie," he replies as she smiles.

"I am Luna, Thankyou Eddie," she says simply as Eddie just furrows his brows at her watching her leave again. He quickly pays for his movies trying his hardest not to seem brute about his impatience from the cashier, who was just some unpaid teen,bouncing back and forth between his feet anxiously.

  For fuck sake, the reciept machine suddenly jams and the tenneager who was evidently higher than a kite just groans, pulling the lever to open the machine up. Eddie looks towards the door and grabs his movies, he rushing out the door hoping he hadnt missed his chance. He scans the parking lot seeing her standing there in front of a VW Beetle. The car was yellow and even had a convertible top. She dropped her keys and kneels down to pick them up as does he the two bumping their foreheads against each other.

"Oooh. you are relentless arent you." she jokes as he laughs. The two rubbing the sore spot on their heads.

"You really don't remember me." he asks as she looks at his face, she studies it, her eyes widening.

"Wallet guy. Ah yes now it's coming back to me." he nods.

"It's not everyday I run into the same stranger twice in a week." he says as she chuckles, "Listen I..."

Before anything can happen Her phone rings and she seems almsot too cheery to answer it,  this conversation was already awkward enough. She fumbles with it before pulling it put of her pocket. "Hey Thena? Yeah, really..hold on." She covers the phone with her hand. "Thankyou again and good night.." she smiles at him as he does too she climbs into her car finishing her conversation with Athena who was talking about her date with Bobby.

And yet all her mind seemed fixated on is the mysterious man who the universe seemed to have her bumping into on her free time. LA was a big place you couldnt run into the same people more and yet she did she ran into the same man and maybe this fate talking?  Maybe this was the love genies telling her that she had finally met her soulmate?

The problem with living in Los Angeles, well how much time do you have? Honestly one of the biggest issues besides the absurd prices is the heat, it was like Hades himself deemed Los Angeles as the hottest place on earth, it was most likely hotter then hell itself, and it didnt help that with the heat came earthquakes.

Luna and Athena were already prepared for the day, the heat in this town made people go crazy, she bought her partner a lemonade the minute they took off in the squad car. Their first call was about a nosy neighbor who called the police on her neighbors for playing with the sprinklers in the middle of the cudasec.

"Look at them, they are blocking the way,"

"Technically this is a dead end ma'am so the only cars coming through are the ones parked at the houses." Luna replies as the older woman just rolls her eyes at her.

"Arent you like 12? Look are you incompotent? Or is it just your kind." the two partners just look at her before turning back.

"Ma'am California penal code 148.5 makes it illegal to make  a report of a crime while knowing the report is false, so.." Athena turns the woman around grabbing her and cuffing her.

"What are you doing?"

"Arresting you. For falsely reporting which is six months to a year in county."  Athena says as Luna nods.

"You can't do this, I want to speak to your boss."

"I am the boss lady," Athena replies as Luna just chuckles as they load her up into the back of the squad car.

Yes the heat Brought out the crazies but it also brought the ugly side of Los Angeles. The side that never talk about in movies or television. This was a mini mart owner,  who was claiming that the woman was making threats at him and had a gun. They arrive on the scene seeing a man holding a bat and no gun insight just a women curled up in ball.

"I want her arrested." he yells as Athena looks at the woman who was sitting on the floor she was practically shaking.

"How about I take that bat sir?" Luna takes the bat, "You said she was armed."

"I don't know, look at her. She's a crackhead, figured she might have a weapon." he says as Athena just purses her lips it was clear that the woman wasn't causing any harm and the store owner was racist.

"What'd she try to steal?"

"I caught her trying to put this under her coat." he holds up a loaf of bread as Athena looks at her partner again. Luna sighs walking over to the woman.

"Ma'am did you try and steal the bread?" she kneels down getting on her level.

"My husband sold our link card, and I don't have any money." she shakes her head. "I am not a drug addict, I just wanted to make my boy a sandwich."

"You gonna arrest her or what?" the store owner asks as Luna closes her eyes for a second before speaking.

"How much is the bread?"

"1.50" the man shrugs as Athena kisses her teeth,

"This is all over a dollar." Athena says before turning to the woman. "Ma'am you are free to go."

"Wait a minute this junkie tried to rip me off, Do your job and Lock her up, Or I'm gonna call some real police."

"Oh, you want the real police," she looks at Athena, "He wants the real police. Okay, Okay. Well, now you've got 'em. Let's follow this by the letter of the law shall we?" she nods to her partner.

"Let's do that." Athena sasses

"Hey, Thena do all those licenses look up to date? Cigarettes, Dairy Produce?" she nods to the picture frame behind the man on the wall.

"Uh step aside for a second sir let me check those out."

"Hey I pay my taxes, it pays your salary. She's the one who broke the law." he yells as  Luna walks over to a section of the store.

"Are those rat turds?" she points to the ground as Athena walks over.

"Mm look like rat turds."

"They do look like rat turds. That's a definite violation."  she says as Athena kisses her teeth.

"Look at that." Athena points to the wires sticking out of the ceiling. "Faulty wires. That's against code. See I see about 20,000$ in fines so far." Athena was now looking at the guy the two partners were giving their best staredowns.

"Just get her out of here." he says as Luna turns to the woman.

"Ma'am you can leave, Luna pulls a dollar and some change. Slapping it on the counter. "Here you go." She hands the woman the bread loaf as she walks out.

"You have a good day sir." Luna mutters eyes cold, jaw line tightened. as Athena picks up some juicy fruit leaving some change on the counter.

Luna was thankful that the night had fallen, it was somewhat cooler for the most part, and  she was doing a bit of overtime, which she could use. Athena on the other hand had too much overtime and two beautiful kids waiting for her arrival at her house. She had promised to save Luna some dinner seeing as it was thursday and every other thursday she would stay the night over at Athena's place. Just because she wanted too and well Athena was like her parent. Which made being by herslef hard for Luna but she didnt mind. The craziness though didnt stop, having heard about about a man with a live round in his leg, she needed to see this for herself and so she walks up to scene being directed by the other officers who were of lower rank as what was happening? She starts directing people around adn they simply did what they were told as she approaches The speciality teach and incident command fire chief Taylor. Her heart was clamoring in her chest, her anxiety was flooding through her quickly. She seemed to lose all sense of strength. But she managed to keep her shit together, seeing as their was other people around.

"Whoa is that a grenade?" Luna tilts her head tyo the side a bit trying to get a good look at it.

"Sergeant. Jennings, " 

"Taylor,"  Luna's voice was cold and firm, she was trying her best not to cause a scene infront of all these people. Strangers who from the blind eye would think nothing of these two people in front of them. The silence between them made it apparent that they had once been informal with each other, Taylor's stare felt like it was metling her skin and she was ignoring it so harshly and intently, someone clears their throat and she nods letting her body know she was coming back to reality.

"Yeah, I- cleared the scene and set up a perimeter about A mile back just in case but judging from that photo, that's a grenade round from a 40- mike-mike for an M203 Grenade launcher which depending on how you contain this shouldn't take out half the block."  She studies the x-ray in front of her.

"Uh– you got that from an x-ray?" Luna almost jumps from the sound of their voices, she forgot there was other people there, turning to see Bobby and Evan Buckley the firefighter that Athena butted heads with a while back. He was still on her bad side for a while, even if Bobby and Athena were dating. She then notices Eddie, furrowing her brows slightly but quickly composing herself.

She had wondered if he knew about her all along and was "accidentally" running into her around town. And while she was in thought Eddie was studying her he had time to fully take her in, first dya on the job and he was actually taken aback. Judging by her body language she was closed off towards the fire chief, he figured they had been intimate, but oh if only he had been a fly on the wall of the rooms they had been in.

Everything was being drawn out way too much. Luna's voice had grounded Eddie back to reality.

"I- Know a few things." was all she could say and Bobby refrained from laughing. It was weird trying to be formal with him knowing about him in a nonformal way since all Athena did wad talk about him, it didnt bother Luna after everything that went down with Michael she was glad to see Athena happy.

" I thought this thing  already went off"

"The launch grenade has two components: gun  powder which makes it travel and an explosive charge that makes it go boom" Eddie speaks up his voice was confident it felt like butter against toast, smooth and in a way it made Luna's stomach ache but soothed her throat all at once.

"Okay, so why didn't this one go boom?" Buck was way too fucking curious and Luna was having a hard focusing. All of these questions were somehow making her mad.

" It's fitted with a proximity fuse. It's a little smart sensor that tells the cap it's traveled a safe enough distance from the shooter to explode. From his hand to his leg probably wasn't far enough."

" Well, we can't bring him inside a hospital full of people, not with that still stuck inside him."

" We called the military for help." Taylor says and Luna feels the urge to vomit. 

" The military? Uh, can't you do it? You're the bomb squad"

"You can't defuse a grenade. We need to find someone who knows how to pull that thing out of him without setting it off. They're sending someone up from Pendleton. Should be here within the hour."

"He doesn't have an hour." Buck explains.

"I can do it," Luna  offers as everyone looks at her with wide eyes, "I've done it before,"

"No you're not doing it." Eddie immediately spoke up,

"I have the experience, I'll be fine, and  you aren't in charge of me." Luna looks at Eddie, studying his features, their faces oddly close. "If you're so worried then why don't you join me?" she quirks a brow at the man,

"Maybe I will."

"Fine,"

"Good," she turns her attention away from him, feeling her cheeks heat up, but pushing that away.  as Buck just looks at them with confusion

" I'm in." Buck says simply as Luna sighs.

"All right then," Luna claps her hands together  taking off her belt that held her gun and other weapons she used, she handed it to Bobby who she told to guard it with his life. He just chuckles promising he would, he had to admit he was starting like Luna, Athena loves Luna, when she became sergeant at her young age it was all because of Athena, she was practically her daughter, and anyone Athena Likes Bobby automatically like too.

She pulls the vest up on her chest strapping it in, before pulling her hair into a ponytail, not noticing Eddie's lingering eyes. On her as she grabs the supplies that Taylor gave her which was a box to put the grenade in and a clamp to grab the grenade, the trio get inside the ambulance as Luna takes a breath trying to ignore the sound of her thumping heart. Which was beating  quite loudly, she was surprised Buck and Eddie couldn't hear it. Her hands were steady and careful as she held into the clamp removing the grenade from the man Charlie's leg and putting in the box. The room audibly relaxed sighs escaping everyone's lips.  A few other nurses from the hospital got the okay and Buck and Eddie wheeled the man over to them.

"You're a freaking badass." Buck beams excitedly as Luna is hunched over catching her breath. All the air circling around in her lungs. "That was awesome," he high fives Eddie, the two having not gotten along all day long.

"Yeah, I agree that was pretty cool, You can have my back any day, Buck." Eddie and Buck fist bump having a bro moment while Luna stands up straight finally catching her breath. "You, Luna, are amazing." Eddie compliments as Luna practically melts. The two looked at each other in the eyes without saying a word, Buck just stared at them completely oblivious to why they were just staring at  each other, Bobby on the other hand could tell, he was freaking Bobby Nash he knew a crush when he could see it. He clears his throat hand outstretched with Luna's belt, the two snapping their heads at the sound.

"Oh yeah thank you Bobby." she takes the belt out of nowhere the grenade went off, causing her to jump from the sudden explosion, Eddie shields Luna subconsciously as Luna stares at him he was too busy looking back at the ambulance, he straightens up as the ambulance is quietly on fire, everyone looking around at each other.

Eddie shrugs. "You guys Hungry?"

It had only been two days since the event with Eddie and Luna couldnt wait to get back to Athena's and tell her all about it, she of course had some tea of her own to spill.

"So you said You were ashamed to be dating him, Thena, No"

"I know, I am sorry, it's just at that moment I felt..."

"Like Being petty?" she says as Athena nods. She was talking about the lovers quarrel she had with one Robert Nash. "Okay so now you have to make it right." Athena just continues on and on about her talk and about how she talked with Michael and he agreed that she was in fact being petty but also that she deserved love just like anyone else and that she shouldn't have to hide it not matter how scared or ashamed she felt, Bobby Nash was a good guy and she deserved a good guy.

Before anyone could protest they were at the firehouse at first Luna was gonna wait in the car but then she got bored and it got hot way too quickly. She soon finds herself wandering around the firehouse, finding her partner upstairs.

"Thena?" she turns herself once she sees her and Bobby kissing. The kiss breaks and Luna turns back around with a cheeky smile.

"Hey, Bobby."

"Hi Luna," Bobby replies as Athena looks at him with loving eyes, Hen tells Chimney and Buck to pay up as they groan placing money in her hands, she bet them twenty dollars each that Bobby and Athena were dating and she wasn't at all mad at it. Hen then gives one of the twenty to Luna who pockets it and they give each other a fist bump blowing it out

Bobby asks Athena if she's staying for dinner and she of course says yes.

"Hey, Stardust!" Athena yells towards the woman as she looks up. "You wanna stay for a bit, maybe have a meal," Athena says trying to play it off Luna laughs. "Sure, I could eat."

Athena nods approvingly. Hen is talking Luna's ear off she glanced up at Eddie who was already staring at her and she sent him a nod.

"Eddie." she nods towards him.

"Luna." he nods back at the two smiling  a bit as Athena takes note, she two could see that the two liked each other and of course was going to do everything in her power to get them together come hell or high water.

We all feel pressure, but it's how we respond that matters.  Pressure doesn't have to break us down. It can show us who we are. And that's good. Because in the end, it's always there. The pressure. And eventually, it has to be released.

Athena and Luna were riding in the patrol car Rock Steady was playing softly on the speaker, the ground beneath them starts to rumble and Athena opens some Altoids they fly everywhere, Luna grips the oh shit handle above her head as the car is swerving back and forth Athena tries to steady the car as the car in front of them falls into the earth the cement breaking in front of them, The car stops and the dust clears as the partners catch their breaths looking at one another before getting out, they walk towards the front of the patrol car seeing the bridge broken in front of them the ground cracking and crumbling.

Their radios bleep "Attention, all units. This is a citywide disaster alert. A massive earthquake has hit Central L.A. Be on emergency tac alert until further notice. I repeat, be on emergency tac alert until further notice."
