I. The Beginnings

I. The Beginnings:

The nine demigods stared at the statue in front of them as their trusted satyr came trotting up to the deck with a rucksack slung by his shoulder and a baseball bat in his right hand.

"Ready?", Coach Hedge asked as he wiped the sweat of his forehead.

Reyna gave a slight nod of approval, and Nico...well, said nothing. The Seven shifted uncomfortably as the Hades trio stepped forward to strap themselves with the Athena Parthenos.

Among the Seven, Jason and Hazel were the most worried. They were worried for all three of them, and Jason was even more worried regarding Nico. Piper knew that her boyfriend was hiding something from her, and she didn't need to be a demigod to understand that it was something regarding the emotionless son of Hades who had been pushing everyone away from himself. Annabeth was skeptical regarding the outcome of this quest to Camp Half-Blood. She wasn't sure if Nico had the willpower to shadow travel all the way to the other side of the world, then again, this was Nico di Angelo. He went through the true version of hell, unlike her and Percy. If there was anyone who could cut through reality, then it was him. Frank didn't really know Nico, but he was worried about all three of them. Percy was hopeful. Hopeful knowing that the second bravest and most loyal satyr he knew was going with two of the most powerful demigods he'd ever met.

"You-You'll be back, right?", surprisingly, it was Leo who'd spoken. Leo nervously glanced at the trio hoping for an answer.

"No guarantee, kid. We live once, and now we have to live with this.", Coach Hedge pointed at the large statue he had strapped himself with.

"Reyna...", Piper went ahead and hugged the war child.

Reyna stood frozen, unable to comprehend what happened. Slowly, she hugged back the cherokee, "We'll be fine, Piper.".

Piper pulled away and wiped the tears off her cheeks, "I have faith in you, Reyna, but these two need help and monitoring.", she turned towards Nico and Coach Hedge.

Percy sighed, "Please don't die. We haven't even returned to our respective camps, yet! And also, I...", his voice faltered, "I owe you, Nico. For...Bob...". Annabeth sobbed.

Nico nodded. Reyna had strapped herself to the statue as well. The right and left were filled, now only the middle remained. Nico stepped forward, but before he could, a blonde son of Jupiter grabbed him by his right shoulder.

"You're not alone.", Jason reminded him.

Brown met blue as Nico replied, "Give me a reason, and I am.".

He strapped himself with the statue and took Reyna and Coach Hedge's hands into his own.

"Goodbye, Nico. Stay alive or else I'm dragging you back from the underworld.", Hazel kissed her brother's left cheek.

"Farewell...", the shadows began to rise, "Jason, Leo, Hazel, Piper and Percy".

Darkness overtook the statue along with the three tied to it. The next moment the light hit the their previous spot, there was nothing.

The Seven stood rooted in their positions. They knew that the endgame had started, that the countdown to the war had begun. Fourteen days were all they had until Gaea woke. Gaea was a lock yearning to be opened, and they were the key she needed. She needed their blood.

The Blood of Olympus

Camp Half-Blood-

Camp Half-Blood was in total chaos and rush. The dyrads and nymphs were running from one place to other looking for armor and weapons(mostly sticks). Chiron had been teaching all the campers archery. The Apollo cabin restocked Ambrosia, Nectar, med-tape and other medical necessities. The Demeter cabin had been working on their skills with plants and combat. The Nemesis, Iris, Athena and Ares cabins had been working on battle plans. The Hecate, Hypnos, Hebe, Tyche and Nike cabins worked day and night on border patrol. Pollux from the Dionysus cabin along with other demigods from the Demeter cabin were planting more plants, so that when the time came, they could be used. Even the Aphrodite cabin were working by patrolling the borders via pegasi. The satyrs were training themselves with nature magic under Grover's leadership and the cyclops' alliance. The Hermes cabin along with the Hephaestus cabin created traps of various kinds. Everyone, including Argus and the cleaning Harpies, were set on helping in the battle.

Clarisse La Rue from the Ares cabin threw her boar shaped helmet at a pillar in frustration, "This is stupid. If dirt face really is waking up, we need to unite.". Clarisse locked eyes with Chiron, "This battle is not doing us any good.".

Chiron sighed. He couldn't disagree with Clarisse, but the Romans were stubborn. The centaur swished his tail and met the other head conselours' gaze.

Drew Tanaka from cabin 10 stood up. Her normal heavy makeup was gone. She was wearing full battle armour over her orange CHB tee and her hair was tied into a messy ponytail.

"As much as I hate doing this, the Ares girl is right. We need to do something to avert this battle at least until the seven chosen demigods return.", Drew traced a circle on the ping pong table using her right index finger, "This battle will tear apart both sides; Greek and Roman. Not to mention, the gods are still fighting between their counterparts. If not controlled, this will become a mass massacre. A suicide for us, and a winning ticket for Ugly Worm.".

Malcolm Pace, the head counselour from the Athena cabin, shook his head and began, "Drew, you're right, but exactly what can we do? The Romans are stubborn. We need to delay this civil war until the right moment, or else it's over. Then again, we can't just stop it. Especially, since Gaea is waking. Our first priority should be to gather all of our forces and be prepared. My siblings and I have discussed among ourselves, and till now we've reached to the conclusion that we won't start the battle, but if the Romans attack us first, we will counterattack.", everyone kept quiet, "I wished my sister was here. She would've solved this problem by now. A note is not much. I just wished...", he slammed the table, "we had a choice.". He groaned in frustration.

No one said anything. All of them were frustrated.

"Maybe...", Drew scratched the table, "I can charmspeak that Oct-".

"No.", Will Solace from the Apollo cabin abruptly cut her off, "Until the final battle, no one's going to be using their important powers. Charmspeak will tire you, Drew, and let's be realistic, we can't afford being weak at this point.", Will leaned against his chair, "Charmspeak doesn't last long, but more than that, my stupid relative hates all Greeks.".

Butch Walker of Iris cabin nodded, "Will's right. Even if tried, I don't think he's going to fall for that.".

"We've got a bigger problem than that.", Nyssa Barrera, a daughter of Hephaestus, said, "The oracle is not working.".

Gasps escaped from the demigods' mouths.

"So, wat now? What should we do?", Clovis asked.

"You're saying it wrong, Clovis.", said Lou Ellen Blackstone from the Hecate cabin, "What can we do? The oracle's not working and neither Percy nor Annabeth are here. Jason, Piper, Leo and the Hunters aren't either. The satyrs are hard at work, and the cyclops are helping in the armoury and forge.".

Katie Gardner sighed, "This is a mess no one ever asked for. If they're not here, then we don't stand a chance".

Among everything said, Will Solace realised that everyone had held Percy, Annabeth, Leo, Piper, Jason and the Hunters important, but not Nico di Angelo. That was it. He stood up so fast that his chair fell backwards.

"You people keep on talking about Percy, Annabeth, Jason, Leo, Piper and the Hunters, but never about Nico di Angelo.", everyone stared at him, "I really don't get what's wrong. Has the guy done something to harm you? He's always helped us; be it in the Battle of the Labyrinth or the Battle of Manhattan. Why are you people so stereotyped? He is our most important ally. Without him, this camp would've been terrorized long ago, and Kronos would've won.".

Will was angry at the other campers. Angry knowing that they were not giving the son of Hades a chance.

"Will, he's a son of Hades.", Laurel Victor told him.

"So what? Luke Castellan helped Kronos, and we still regard him a hero because we know how wrong the gods are.", thunder rumbled in the sky, "Tell me, did any of us want to be a demigod? No, right. Do you at all want to be like the gods? No. Then why are you all blaming him. He was an innocent kid who got stuck in this mess. He deserves a home, and you're all failing to give him that.", Will kicked his chair away and left the Big House; thus, concluding the meeting.

Clarisse picked up her helmet and turned to the other demigods and Chiron, "Whatever, Solace said was correct. Prissy and his partners might be important, but so is Nico. The punk is tough to be sane after the way people treated him. To be honest, there were times when I felt that he was more powerful than Prissy, and that's saying something.". Clarisse left, and slowly, the other demigods did too.

Chiron looked at the retreating figures of Travis and Connor Stoll, the last two demigods to leave. This war was breaking apart the demigods. It was breaking their trust, sanity and loyalty knowing that they were going to be fighting their own kind. The sound of a door opening met his ears and their former oracle Rachel Elizabeth Dare was standing by his side.

"That was a mess.", Rachel said with her eyes stuck to the open door of the Big House.

"And it will keep getting messier. You need training for the battle as well. Get some sleep. I'll tell Malcolm to teach you hand-to-hand combat tomorrow morning. It is past midnight. Go.".

Rachel nodded and went upstairs, "Oh, and Chiron!", She called him from the top of the first flight of stairs, "Just know that I totally agree with Will!". With that the mortal kept quiet and went to her room.

Chiron said nothing as he went ahead and closed the door to the Big House. A war was upon them. A war between kin. This was going to be an act of kinslaying, and it was just the beginning.

- The Heroes of Olympus

------------------------------------------------------------

Alright, so first chappy. Yay! I really wanted to show how things were going at CHB, since there was hardly any action on it. While re-reading BOO, I found out that there wasn't much tension between the Greek demigods, especially the Aphrodite and Demeter cabins. Also, I really wanted to give some action to Rachel, cause best red-headed mortal oracle host ever!

But anyways, I needed to give a reality check to the other demigods since everyone made Neeks feel excluded until BOO.

Anyways, please comment down your thoughts, opinions and how I should proceed with this story.

P.S I'll be having my exams throughout entire June, so no frequent updates.

Signing off
