(3) Um... lets try this again.
Running through the streets, I tried to keep up with the perp and Mindlocke. It was a mad dash chase. My heart pounded through my chest as I tried to keep up with the two while staying hiddden.
My feet splashed through the puddles, that laid at random upon the ground from last night's rainstorm. My breath was heavy and my legs were sore. I managed to find a ledge where I could watch Mindlocke in action from above.
Gripping onto the cold rusted metal ladder, I began my descent to the roof of the building. About half way up, the ladder made a creak sound before it snapped. All of a sudden, I was falling backwards towards a ridged, hard ground. I tried to scream but nothing came out. Time seemed to slow to a stop while I felt my beating heart stop with it. Would this be the death of me?
Just then, I appeared to be floating. I looked around as I casually floated down gently to the ground. Once safely on the ground, I got up and looked into the hazel brown eyes of Mindlocke. I felt my cheeks burn slightly as I took a step backwards.
"M-Mindlocke?!?" I stuttered, he looked much slimmer in person. "I-I...." I couldn't pull the words out to ask him, to see if he really was my brother.
"I hope you're alright ma'am." He gave a heroic smile to me. Ma'am? My eye twitched slightly.
"I am a Miss not a Ma'am!" I slammed my foot upon his in anger. Upon seeing his face scrunch up as his mouth roared out a horrendous, terrifying, girly scream. "I'm so sorry!" I cried before bowing to him, except my big head crashed into his and we both fell back in pain. I spent a minute with Mindlocke and I already broke him. He's never going to answer my questions now.
I sat up to see how he was doing, but he had already vanished; along with my chances of getting my questions answered. I sighed and went back to my make-shift home.

Walking to a burger joint that had an opening for a fry cook, I saw a slim male that resembled Mindlocke's figure. I decided to follow him, since I was still a long way from the joint and I still had lots of time before I had to arrive.
The male walked into a practically empty connivence store, so I followed him. He walked into the dairy section and grabbed a bag of milk, I then followed him to the bread section where he grabbed a loaf of wheat bread. I leaned against a small display of cans as I sighed. What am I doing?
The display gave out under me and I fell to the floor. I expected there to be a crashing noise, but when I looked up, the cans were perfectly stacked again. All except for one, which had been floating in the air. I looked at the male who had his hand out towards the can, his eyes widened as he noticed me. I had seen him use his gift. He was Mindlocke and now I knew who he was.
He made a run for it. I stood up and ran after him.
"Wait!" I called as I chased him through the streets. He ducked into an alley way and so I followed. Fortunately for me, it lead to a dead end. He looked at me like a deer caught in headlights. I however, had my hands on my knees as I panted, trying to catch my breath. Man was I out of shape.
"Who are you? Why are you stalking me?" He spoke loudly, by the look he gave me, he was as frightened as I was.
"Just calm down. I just want to ask you some questions." I tried to calm him down by showing him I wasn't scary. It seemed to work because he did eventually calm down.
"Please don't tell people I'm..." he leaned close to me before whispering into my ear. "Mindlocke." His warm breath breathed into my ear and made it tingle. I felt my cheeks warm up again when he was that close to me.
"I won't. I promise." I smiled slightly before taking a small step back. "I want to know if you're my brother." I tensed up. It just came out, how is he going to react? I looked away, expecting him to laugh or yell or do anything except what he did.
"Your brother?" He blinked before rubbing his chin. "I don't know. But I know one person that would know for sure." I blinked as I looked at him with wide eyes.
"You do?!? Can I meet them?!?" I exclaimed slightly happier than I've ever been. This made him smile as he outstretched his hand to me.
"We can go ri-" I didn't let him finish. I grabbed his hand rather tightly.
"Onwards ho!" I pointed my finger to the sky as I raised my hand. He blinked, surprised by my eagerness.
"Alright." He then lead the way to a house that looked somewhat familiar, like I've seen it in a picture or something.
Upon entering, there was a scent that smelt familiar. It was almost as though I've been there before. It was weird.
"Grandma! I'm home." Mindlocke called as he entered the house. I remained silent as I followed. Pictures of him at various ages lined the walls. The furniture and decore of the room screamed the 80's. But it worked.
A frail old woman walked over to us and smiled. She seemed familiar, but she was adorable none-the-less. She looked at me and a smile grew upon her pink wrinkled face.
"Grandma, do I have a sister?" Mindlocke asked the woman. Her bright wide smile quickly faded as she slouched and turned around.
"I guess it's time to tell you." She mumbled wobbling over to a bookshelf, she seemed to be looking for a specific book. "I suggest you two take a seat." The woman pulled a burgundy cover book off the shelf before turning towards us. She had a serious look on her face which made a shiver travel down my spine.
I sat down upon the couch next to Mindlocke, his grandmother sat in front of us as she placed the book onto the coffee table. She looked at us before opening the book and flipping to a page with an image pasted to the page.
My eyes widened, my heartbeat quickened.
In the picture was father, a woman - who I did not recognize -, a younger version of Mindlocke - that I recognized from the pictures hanging on the walls of the house -, and me as a child.
"S-So it's true?!?" Mindlocke began. "She's my sister?"
