Mum never wanted me to leave. She refused to tell me his name, scared he'd push me away the same way she was. I had searched the Internet for geniology records of Kalos. I looked for the Ross family, and found his name. So, I decided I'd set out on a journey to find him, wether he likes it or not. I received the Town Map from my new neighbors, a boy named Calem and a girl named Shauna. I asked those two if they'd like to join me, but they had work to do. 

So, here I am walking down Route 1, with Fennekin trotting by my side. Fennekin, turns out, was a boy. So, I proudly gave him the name Brè. I had also received several Pokèballs from Calem, and was throwing one up and down. I was surprised when a Caterpie jumped out of the grass. But I remembered what Calem told me, and threw the balk at the Caterpie. It was added to my party. A female, named Cat. I also caught a Fletchling, whom I named Chling-Chan. 

I saw that to get to Lumiose City, by far the most populated area in Kalos, I'd have to go through the Santalune Forest. It's densely populated with Pokémon known for their poison, yet there is the occasional Pikachu, Pansage, or Pansear. I, however, caught all three after searching for a long while for that Pikachu. I named Pikachu Champ, Pansage Quin, and Pansear Flame. I had a full team, and I hadn't even got my first Gym Badge. 

Speaking of Gym Badges, I got through the forest and went straight to the Santalune City Gym. I brushed right through it, they were Bug types. Brè burned ALL the Bugs! So I got my Bug Badge. I headed towards Lumiose after doing a little clothes shopping. I was running short, and Mum didn't supply me with any clothes. 

As I reached Lumiose City, I looked around. This city is a circle! It has a huge tower  at the center, and a complex of homes and cafès around that tower. I visited the South Pokémon Center, asking people if they knew a Levi Ross. Nobody did, so I went to the North Center. Again, no luck. Figuring I'd come back later, I headed to Route 14, heading to Laverre City. 

Route 14 is littered with brown and red leaves, in contrast to the yellowish grass lining the dirt paths. It has many beautiful waterfalls, a river running straight under a spruce bridge. Demolished buildings with checkered patterns litter this route, abandoned by all but the Pokémon at least twenty years ago. It really is beautiful. 

A tiny Foongus approaches me. It has a cute Pokeball pattern on its top. I try to befriend it, try to catch it. But before I knew it, Foongus had used Spore, and I blacked out. As I start to lose consciousness, I hear shouting. Shouting of a familiar voice, trying to speak to me, but it's no use. I'm just too tired...

I wake up in a bed I've never been in before. I look at my surroundings, it's somewhat dark and cold, but there's a dim red glow cast across the room. Everything is peaceful and quiet. I see a Litleo at the foot of the bed, sleeping just like I was. It woke up, and let out a quiet "Rowr...." It yawned and stretched, just about the cutest thing I've ever seen. Why didn't I ever want a Cat Pokémon? I start to hear voices around me, ones I don't recognize. 

"She's awake, I think. Litleo woke up." A female's voice, echoing through the room. 

"I know. When- if she isn't already- she wakes up, just show her the way out. There's no need to linger." A deeper voice. Much deeper. Sinister, yet somehow calming to me. A strange woman comes into the room, and tells me her name is Bryony. She then leads me out, telling me that "Boss" whoever he is- has been acting strange around me. As if... he has some relation to me. Like the endearment of a good friend. I didn't understand what that meant until many months later.
