Hello everyone, PLEASE READ THIS before going on to the story.

I am including a lot of information in this author’s note to make future ones shorter. If I get asked a question that I’m answering in this a/n already, I’ll be peeved. And either reprimand or ignore you completely (I can be a bit irritable sometimes…heh heh.) 

1. This is NOT, I repeat NOT set in the same “universe”, (so to speak, I mean it's still on Earth), as My Dark Knight. Forget everything you ever read about mythical creatures from MDK for this story. It is COMPLETELY DIFFERENT and UNRELATED to MDK.

 2. I am NOT going to cast my lead female. I never do. Don’t ask.

 3. As of now, I will only be writing in ONE p.o.v., so please don’t ask for others.

 4. This story will be shorter than MDK. I am estimating between 25 and 30 chapters of about 6-8 pages in length for each chapter. Still a long book, but not nearly as long as MDK. I’ll explain why, eventually.

 5. This is rated M for a reason. There will be more language than in MDK.

6. I love constructive criticism, but leaving stupid comments will earn you a snappy retort if I’m having “one of those days." 

 7. As of today, 12/30/13, I have ALREADY WRITTEN FOUR CHAPTERS. I am going to post one a day, starting today and ending Thursday. The reason I’m only doing one a day is because otherwise, nobody would comment on the first three chapters. Your feedback means SO MUCH to me, and I want to read it before posting the next chapter. So, expect chapter 2 tomorrow around this time, chapter 3 the next day, and chapter 4 Thursday.

---After that? There will be no set upload schedule.

8. I am not intentionally borrowing names, events, or anything else from any other author. This should be apparent as the story goes on. Please don’t be like “OMG someone has been reading _______ book!” Because any similarities should be few and far between and I don’t like the connotation that I’m borrowing off of another’s work.

9. Sorry I seem so gripe-y. I’m quite familiar with Wattpad now and I’m trying to avoid some major headaches that I’ve had in the past.

10. Last but not least: I’ve had about 40-50 cover contest entries. As you can imagine, it was SUPER difficult to pick! However,

Honestly, there were about 5 or 6 covers that came very close. I asked the opinions of a few friends and they helped me pick hers as the one that best fits the requirements/guidelines I listed. 

Note that I WILL be changing the cover eventually, so those that came close to winning will get theirs displayed, as well. 

Thank you ALL OF YOU that entered. I will put as many covers as I can in the chapters and dedicate them to all of you. :)
