"MEETINGS"
LORELEI BLACK WAS in the corner with three empty bottles of firewhiskey, Hope Lupin next to her wasn't any good either — the girls had thought they'd get just one bottle, and stop after, but then they thought one more couldn't do more harm, and then one more... point is — Hope was out of her mind drunk, and Lorelei wasn't — she had always had a higher tolerance for alcohol than her friends. Lorelei was actually finding the situation quite amusing because the werewolf would laugh at everything Lorelei said, it was feeding her ego, but it was also raising a few looks from the kids around them.
"Alright, Lupin?" George asked as he sat down next to Lorelei on the table because his brother was busy with his girlfriend, he gave a confused look to the brunette giggling at the texture of the wall.
"It's like rocks on a wall" Hope said and started laughing silently, pressing her hand against the wall, and Lorelei chuckled at her friend.
"Might wanna pay attention now, Hope" Lorelei turned her head around towards Hermione who had started talking now about the shit of an education they were getting, "Hope, darling, you actually have to turn around to see someone..." she said to Hope who tried to focus her eyes on the blurry figure of Hermione.
"I want more than that" Hermione had said, "I want to be properly trained in defense, because..." she inhaled and braced herself for the next few words, "Because Lord's Voldemort's back"
Some kid from a table shrieked in a very unlike human way, Lorelei pressed her right ear, "Merlin, go a few octaves higher and you might shatter a glass" she said rolling her eyes, it's just a bloody name. Hope let out another giddy giggle.
"Well, that's the plan anyway" Hermione said, "If you want to join us, we need to—"
"Where's the proof You-Know-Who's back?" A blonde boy asked in a rough voice and Lorelei rolled her eyes, of fucking course they're about to have this conversation.
"She wasn't done talking, Smith" Regan said from the front, crossing her hands and leaning back on the table, Hermione passed her a thankful look and then turned back to face the students again.
"Well Dumbledore believes it—" Hermione got interrupted once again.
"You mean Dumbledore believes him" said the boy, he nodded his head motioning towards Harry.
Lorelei rolled her eyes, "I don't know how you expect her to explain if you keep interrupting every time she opens her mouth, blondie"
"It's Zacharias Smith," he spoke annoyed at the older girl, "and I think we've got the right to know exactly what makes him say You-Know-Who's back"
"No one has the right to know anything" Birdie spoke up, she inched towards Harry subconsciously, "Harry doesn't owe anyone an explanation and the faster you get that through your head the better it is for everyone, ok, Zacharias Smith?"
"No, it's ok, Birdie" Harry leaned forward, Lorelei could get that he was starting to get annoyed at everyone now, "You want to know what makes me say You-Know-Who's back?" he stared at Smith dead in the eye, "I saw him, but Dumbledore told the whole school what happened, and if you didn't believe him, you don't believe me, and I'm not interested in wasting the whole afternoon trying to convince anyone"
"All Dumbledore told us last year was that Cedric Diggory got killed by You-Know-Who and that you brought Diggory's body back to Hogwarts. He didn't give us details, he didn't tell us exactly how Diggory got murdered, I think we'd all like to know—" Zacharias said ignoring Harry.
Lorelei stiffened up at the mention of Cedric, George reached out his hand to hers and held it for comfort, "Zachary, do you ever shut up?" she'd asked.
"My name is Zacharias—"
"I don't care." said Lorelei "Or do you just not know how to listen to someone? No one's going to get to know how Cedric died and that's it, Harry was the one who watched it happen and it's up to him what he chooses to do with that information, so kindly do us all a favor and shut up"
Susan Bones saved the entire group from moments of uncomfortable silence as she asked the raven-haired boy about his patronus, and everyone seemed to get on track with what they were really here for — defense classes, and as always Harry couldn't take credit for a single thing he did.
The problem left now was a place to practice.
Lorelei, Birdie and Hope grinned at each other, "I think I might know a place or a million" Lorelei smiled.
"I-I think everybody should write their name down, just so we know who was here. But I also think," Hermione said taking a deep breath, "that we all ought to agree not to shout about what we're doing. So if you sign, you're agreeing not to tell Umbridge — or anybody else — what we're up to."
"Well, that ought to be hard with her around" Zacharias said motioning to Regan, Regan straightened up with a confused expression.
"Excuse me?" Harry asked.
"She is a Slytherin, is she not?" Smith raised his eyebrows.
"And you're a Hufflepuff yet here we are, huh?" said Harry, he turned away from Zacharias, "Right well, sign up everyone"

"THIS IS PRETTY NEAT!" Regan said as she looked around the room, along with Harry, Ron, and Hermione, the trio and the older trio along with George and Fred had decided to take a look at the room Lorelei had told them about yesterday, and so far it was going great — better than the Slytherin chambers, Harry thinks.
"This is the place that's gotten us through many tough nights, kids" Lorelei said shoving her hands in her pocket, "It's big, open space, has a lot of light — perfect for practice"
"How did you find out about this Room Of Requirement anyway?" Hermione asked, "It's not mentioned in any of the books about Hogwarts and it's founders"
Birdie reached her hand around the marauders map, "Just something I stumbled upon once..." she'd said, Harry looked at her and both of them chuckled. Lorelei guesses they'd been getting better at the whole sibling relationship thing. Good for them.
"Well, shit" Regan said out loud, "We've got the perfect place to practice then..."
Ron nodded, "I wonder if I think about a room filled with food it'll turn into that..."
"That should be the least of your concerns right now, Ronald" Hermione shook her head at the redhead and Regan and Harry turned to give each other a similar look.
"Well, alright then" Hope clapped her hands together, flinching at the sound she'd made herself because of her hangover, "Let's get going before Umbridge decides to look for us to make us miserable and realizes we're nowhere to be found"
"Oh yeah, let's" Lorelei said, she looked around at the room one last time to find George and Fred in the corner talking suspiciously, "Oi, thing one and thing two, let's get going!" she called out.
The twins gave each other a confused look, but followed shortly anyway, the group started to walk to their dorms but that was when Lorelei's eyes were drawn to the notice board, "Hold on" she said, she skimmed over the new post that was taking up almost all of the space.
Lorelei frowned, there's no way she could've known so soon. There's no way. She furrowed her brows, and soon Hermione was at her side reading the post because she knew Ron and Regan wouldn't bother reading it all and miss out on vital parts of information — though she wasn't sure if she liked using the word 'vital' in a sentence about Umbridge.
"Hey, there's no way she could've known, right?" asked Lorelei looking around at everyone, they seemed to be just as lost as her.
"No, there's no way" Hermione said in a reassuring voice, "I put a charm on the parchment, if someone tells about the meetings to anyone — let's just say it'll make Midgen's acne look like freckles"
"Right" They said together.
Lorelei was still unsure, what if it was that sketchy hooded figure that she was sure was giving them the stink eye under their hood, or that barman — well, maybe not him, he didn't seem to care about much...or anything, to be honest. Maybe Hermione was right, maybe Lorelei was just being paranoid.
So they decided to drop the matter and dropp the kids off to their dorms (avoiding Regan's because she said she didn't want them to be embarrassing in front of the common room again) just in case Umbridge was around, Lorelei paused hesitantly as she watched Harry climb up the portrait hole.
"Harry!" she said and Harry turned around with his brows furrowed, "Could I... could we talk for a bit?"
"Yeah, sure" Harry climbed out, Ron and Hermione looked back but then they moved on and Hope squeeze El's shoulder before climbing inside the portrait herself after a few wrong attempts of the password, "What's wrong?" he asked when Lorelei looked a bit nervous...and a bit constipated...
"Well, I know you don't like talking about it..." she started, "And you don't have to, if you don't want, so ya know, don't feel pressured I—"
"Is it about Cedric?" Harry asked.
"No, no, Merlin, no, I wouldn't do that to you, uh" she stammered awkwardly, "Well, you know how you sometimes dream about...Voldemort?"
"It's not really a dream, but sure we can go with that" Harry told her.
"Do you ever feel like you're living someone else's memory? Or looking through someone else's eyes and watching everything happen?" Lorelei asked, "And you feel every emotion that you assume that person was feeling in that memory?"
Harry squinted his eyes with suspicion, "Yeah, but that's usually when he gets in my head" Lorelei was shocked at how he told her as if it was just something casual, "Doesn't happen often, but I know that's how I feel — minus the pain part, I think?"
"Get in your head?" Lorelei asked and Harry nodded and she nodded back, "Well, that's all... thanks for helping me"
"Of course" Harry said, "Are you ok? What brought this up?"
"Just some random thought" Harry didn't believe her for a second, but he let her go because he knew she'd be stubborn about it and won't tell her what's wrong unless she actually wants to.
Now, the only question left in Lorelei's mind was — was her dead uncle trying to get into her mind?
