Sarah Wayne, a name that is known due to her family name and the luxuries of being rich, but by night known as Shadowbat. ― A woman who grew up being trained in different parts of the world until returning to Gotham to be confronted by an old friend.

Shadowbat was a part of a team along with her older brother in the early 90s, when they joined. ― The Justice League continued on when Sarah Wayne joined the JSA; Justice Society of America in defeating their villains. She quit her heroic job when she went back to Gotham and became not only the CEO of Wayne Enterprises, but a detective at GPD for nine years. She always did stay in touch with her superfriends like Diana, Wesley, Rex, Clark, and a few others.

Sarah did lose many people in the year 2010, as the JSA's golden age had ended due to their deaths from their attack from the ISA that killed most of the members. ― And upon returning to Los Angeles for a hearing on the will of her closest friends from over the years, after his death. Once she heard the will she was given rights to her god-daughter, Emma Dodds who later was changed for protection to Emma Wayne, her "god-daughter" as she took her back to Gotham and pledged to always protect her.

In the year 2012, when Emma Wayne was seven she was captured by the Riddler, and that was the moment when Sarah became a hero once again putting on the suit that haunted her now everytime she wore it. Once she saved Emma she decided it was time to explain to her daughter about who she really was and told her everything as Emma then was determined to make her mother proud. ― And after months of her begging, she finally let her daughter to train with her and her brother Bruce who was taking on his own sidekick; Dick Grayson who was five years older.

Emma Wayne never wanted her daughter to follow her footsteps as she wanted to become a hero. But Sarah all she wanted to do was forfile her friend's wish and protect his daughter, and to raise her to have a life without the darkness or nightmares that heroes can go through.

About two months ago, Sarah Wayne decided to retire from being a cop as she started to expand Wayne Enterprises to Blue Valley as a new partner to American Dream. ― Once she moved to Blue Valley, Emma's life changes when a new girl arrives to school and the two become friends with Daphne Whitmore.

What happens when the two find out something more is going on in Blue Valley than seen by the average eye? And what happens when something big is threatening the lives of millions?
