Taehyung woke up in a sweat, his skin heating up and a cool, quick flash of cool air calmed his heated skin down. He had another nightmare. He was frightened the most right then, and what scared him, even more, was the loud yelling outside of his cell. People yelled a lot, wherever he was, but he never knew why.
His heart dropped in fear when the door to his cell opened, but it was just Suga. He had a bag of chips balanced on one open hand, the other held nothing but air. The chip bag was half empty and pretty pointless by then.
"Come on, V. Jeongguk wants to see you. Glad you are awake, better just a scolding then having to wake you up."
Taehyung awkwardly walked into the leader's bedroom. Today was the day he'd do it, ask Jeongguk questions.
Jeongguk was sitting at that same desk.
"Why do you work so much, Gguk?"
The nickname slipped, but it did not bother Jeongguk, fortunately for Taehyung. Jeongguk just picked up a paper and read over it, almost ignoring Taehyung's presence.
"Hey, you called me in here, you have no reason to ignore me," Taehyung grumbled, sitting down on the bed with a bounce. The bed creaked quietly and the room was silent.
"Work needs to be done, V."
Taehyung tensed up, why wasn't Jeongguk calling him by his real name? Was he going to kill him? So many thoughts rushed through his head that it physically hurt.
"Sorry."
"Shut it."
Taehyung let his head fall, this was it. Maybe Jeongguk would kick him out, or maybe he would kill him with ease, no hesitations.
This is where all those assumptions would come true, so Taehyung thought.
Jeongguk abruptly stood from his desk and walked over to Taehyung, who was shaking badly.
"Why are you so scared?" Jeongguk mumbled in amusement as he balanced a finger under the boy's chin. His eyes drifted to Taehyung's lips. Almost an instinct to him.
Jeongguk tilted his head, and by now Taehyung knew what was happening, and did he know he was going to regret that a perfect pair of lips was nearing his own? Yes. But he did not care when his body seemed to melt when the thin lips met his own in a smooth way, moving softly together.
Jeongguk slid his hands from Taehyung's chin to his waist, pulling them closer together.
Taehyung felt like putty, he felt so vulnerable, yet so alive in that one action that lasted so long, probably only twenty seconds at most.
When they pulled away, the only thing that Taehyung could muster was,
"W-what the hell?"
