It all started about four weeks ago, when you did...that. About two weeks after that you started becoming nauseous from all the food you ate or at random times. You had started getting mood swings, and very strange cravings. One trip to the doctor two days later, and you found out you were pregnant. Pregnant...

"I'm...pregnant..." You mumbled in complete shock.

"Yes, but it's still at a very early stage. The fetus is very small at the moment but you're two weeks pregnant. You'll experience all the symptoms from mood swings to cravings, and you'll be especially sensitive with your hormones since this is your first pregnancy." The doctor explained.

You stared wide eyed at the floor the news so shocking that you couldn't even hear the doctor. Any woman would shocked and extremely happy to find themselves pregnant with their lover's child. But it wasn't that you were just happy, you were extremely worried and anxious. You were pregnant and you knew very well who's child it was since he's the only one you've done it with.

"(L/n)-san are you alright?" Your doctor asked.

You snapped out of your daze, your throat dry as you swallowed in total anxiety.
"Y-Yes I'm fine, just...totally shocked." You said shakily giving a tiny smile.

"All new mothers sometimes are like that. Do you need water?" He asked.

"Please."

He went outside for a minute and came back with a paper cup. You took and swallowed the water gratefully trying to get your nerves and thoughts in order.

'Ok (Y/n)...now how do I tell Osamu-san. Just maybe stay blunt and just tell him I'm pregnant? Ahh but what would his reaction be?! I mean would he want a child? Is he even fit to be a father?! He acts so much like a child not to mention his suicidal tendencies.' You thought. You ran your head through your hair groaning at the difficulty of just telling your partner of your current condition. You thanked the doctor and left the office with your heart pumping and your thoughts running wild.

You went back to visit the Armed Detective Agency looking for someone to talk about your situation.

"(L/n)-san here for Dazai again?" You saw Kunikida walking up to you.

"Uh, well yes and no Kunikida-san...I just uh.." Your eyes flickered around nervously as you can feel yourself fidget and your heart race. Kunikida noticed this.

"That idiot went on a small mission for now. But you on the other hand (L/n)-san, you seem a lot more worried...is something wrong?" He asked narrowing his eyes. You stiffened under his gaze but underneath that sharpness was nothing but concern.

You sighed, "Ok I'll tell you, but can we go someplace more...private?" You asked looking around the busy office. He nodded and guided you to a secluded area. A pair of curious eyes followed the two, and snickered at the thought of following them.

You two went into a quiet room and Kunikida shut the door.
"Now tell me (L/n)-san, what's wrong? Did Dazai do something to you? I swear if he did I would unleash my notebook's wrath on him." Kunikida stated giving off a menacing aura, similar to one of a father.

"No no Kunikida-san!" You waved your hands in a slight panic. "Well it's just that..." You trailed off taking in a deep breath.

"I-I'm pregnant." You stammered. Kunikida froze for some time up to a point where you started worrying about him.

"Pregnant?!" He exclaimed with his hair and glasses disarray. You only nodded, but then jumped when you heard the door slam open.

"PREGNANT?!" You saw Ranpo, Kenji, Atsushi, Yosano, Tanizaki, and Naomi all gathered at the opened door. You looked at them in surprise while Kunikida gathered himself and glared at them.

"(L/n)-san wanted this to be a private talk what are you all doing here?" He asked with a slight growl.

"Eh, I overheard your conversation and I got curious. Although I already figured out that you're pregnant." Ranpo said nonchalantly.You sputtered this response, 'Curse his super deduction.' You thought and sighed.

"(L/n)-san, are you alright? You don't seem happy I remember how you used to tell me of Dazai, and you looked so happy and loved." Yosano asked looking at you in concern.

"I am kind of happy, but I'm anxious...what's Osamu-san going to think? Would he even want me now? We're not even married." You said as tears started falling from your face. Everyone paused as the fact remained true, you felt a hand on your shoulder and saw Atsushi.

"I'm not sure how he'll react but he surely won't abandon you. I mean he took me in and put up with me for quite a while now." He said trying to comfort you.

"He won't, I've seen how he is when he's around you, and when he talks to you." Kunikida said. He subconsciously rubbed his temple he remembered the past conversations he had where Dazai would not shut up about you to the point of annoyance.

You thought for a moment. Their words didn't rid the worry you had at the moment, but they held some truth. Dazai did love you..a lot, he wouldn't even have even bothered with you if he didn't. Just the thought of it made you tear up again, of course the hormones are to blame as well.

"(L/n)-san?" Naomi asked as she saw you crying again.

"N-No, I'll tell him." You said wiping your eyes.

You awaited for Dazai nervously as you tapped your fingers on the desk in anticipation.
'Hopefully he hasn't done one of his attempts again.' You thought.

You head snapped towards the sound of the door opening. Dazai walked in his right hand running through his hair.
"I'm baaacck.." His voice drawled out in both fatigue and relief that he no longer had to work.

'Ok no backing down now.' You declared in your head in determination. You walked up to him.

"Oh! My dear (Y/n) I didn't know you were visiting." He said smiling at you. He bent down giving you a short sweet peck on the lips. You blushed slightly at his action.

The others were peeking behind a wall trying to stay out of sight.
"Blech they're acting lovey-dovey again." Ranpo said as he stuck his tongue out in disgust.

"Hush, we don't want them to hear us." Kunikida whispered harshly.

"O-Osamu-san, I-I have something to tell you." You said poking your index fingers together.

"What is it?" He asked tilting his head. You breathed in and out deeply as you screwed your eyes shut.

"O-Osamu-san I'm pregnant! And I'm pretty sure you're the father!" You exclaimed keeping your eyes closed. You couldn't see the look on Dazai's face, but he had a wide eyed look on his face as he looked at you. Suddenly his face darkened as he put a hand on your head. You felt it starting to shake and whimper.

"(Y/n), open your eyes." He said seriously. You hesitantly opened your eyelids and peered into his serious expression. You felt tears build up at the thought that he really would abandon you.

"Are you absolutely sure?" He asked.

"Y-Yes, I took the tests and went to the doctor." You said as the tears streamed down your face. You covered your face with your hands, "I'm sorry." You choked out. You felt his arms wrap around you as he sighed.

"Why are you sorry, I'm not mad." He cooed as he stroked your (h/c) hair.

"Really?" You looked up at his face to see it soften.

"Yes, it's just the nerves. I'm not exactly the type of person to call a father." He said.

"W-Well there's always time to learn. I'm new at this too." You reasoned as you sniffed.

"Well then now's a good time as any." He said. You looked at him confused until you saw him pull out a silver ring with a small diamond on top. You gasped as you saw the one object that symbolizes commitment. Your tears continued to fall from your face from both happiness and relief.

He wiped your tears with his fingers as he smiled at you.
"This is some news to come back to huh?" He said as kissed the top of your head.

"I'm sure you all are surprised as well!" He called out to the others. They revealed themselves from their hiding spot.

"Sharp as always." Atsushi commented.

"But you know it would be interesting to see Kunikida and Atsushi as an uncle." Dazai said with a sly grin. Kunikida and Atsushi blushed slightly out of embarrassment.

"D-Dazai-san don't joke like that!" Atushi whined.

"I'm not joking." He stated as the two became more flustered. Naomi and Yosano cooed at how cute it would be as both Kenji and Tanizaki teased Atsushi.

You watched in amusement as everything turned out the way you wanted. You felt Dazai's arms wrap around you once again from behind.

"Does that mean I have to cancel our suicide plans together?" He asked. You hit his arm and he just chuckled in response.

"Let's not focus on that, and focus on the life growing in me." You said as you leaned back on him. Sure there will be many hardships to come, but now you'll just sit here in happiness with your soon to be family.
