he takes a  triangular slice  of pancake and holds it in between his fingers. he then takes the syrup, drizzles it on the surface of the pancake, then takes a bite.

whereas he uses a fork and knife with pizza after putting copious amounts of hot sauce the way you'd drench your pancakes in syrup.

it horrifies lucy to this very day.
