My name is Pit Icarus. I am 16 years old and a little shy. My mother, Palutena, had an incident back on the old neighborhood we used to live in and had to move out of there as quickly as possible. I do not want to go into detail about it because it is a very long story, and scary; it makes me shake just by thinking about it.

She decided to move to a calm location, where there would not be a lot of traffic and, of course, a lot of people. What makes me uncomfortable though is the fact that I was no longer going to the high school I was familiar with. Mother explained me that there was a school near to us; that I could walk to. I am a shy kid so the idea of having to walk by my own; on a new place that I have never been in, was sickening.

Maybe I could convince her to walk with me at least the first day of school. Maybe not. It is Sunday anyways, she might say yes. I am nervous though, she told me I was starting tomorrow right away. We just moved here, gods.

"Pit, sweetie! Come down, dinner's ready!"

I jumped from my chair as my thoughts crashed by mother. I was organizing my backpack to check if I had everything but I was hungry. It can wait. I got out of my room and walked to the dining room.

As I walked through the school halls looking for my locker, I noticed the structure of the building was different from the old school I previously went. It was a whole floor instead of two. I was told that this school was more of 10th grade to 12th instead of 6th to 12th, maybe that is the reason. But it really did not matter, my stomach wanted to get rid of breakfast because of how nervous I was.

When I found my locker, I opened it and put some books I did not need for the first period; to make the backpack less heavy. Once done I looked at my schedule and it indicated where I needed to go for the homeroom. It also indicated that I was a 10th grader. I looked at the hall clock and it was 7:55 a.m, it was said the bell rings 4 minutes before the period starts. I got all my things and walked to my homeroom, my stomach flipping all over my insides.
