"Wake up! Wake up! Wake up! Wake -"

Timothy grabbed his Rotom Phone and turned off its alarm before he sat up and stretched. He nudged Electchu, who sat beside him, and the mouse Pokemon whimpered before reluctantly standing up. Electchu yawned and stretched its back before smiling at Timothy, who scratched the back of its ears.

"It's Saturday at last, pal," Timothy said. "Ready for a long day at the Magnolia's?"

"Cha," Electchu squealed as Timothy rubbed its back.

Timothy chuckled before he got out of bed and went to change clothes and take a shower. When he came back, Timothy and Electchu went downstairs to the kitchen. Helga was humming a cheery tune as she made pancakes and scrambled eggs while Entalmorfious ate his breakfast at the dining table. Entalmorfious was on his tablet as he ate, designing a mascot for his new ad pitch. A plate of pancakes and eggs was waiting for Timothy on the table, while a bowl of Pokemon food was next to Timothy's chair for Electchu. Timothy sat down and filled his pancakes with syrup before he and Electchu dug in.

While eating breakfast, Timothy took out his Rotom Phone and looked through social media. He stopped at a news article titled "Disgraced Brothers Confined at Home Before Court on Monday," with a picture of Sordward and Shielbert as the cover. Sordward and Shielbert stood behind their living room window, tearing up as they looked at the camera. Their hair was slowly growing back, for they were forced to shave their heads to avoid the Pokemon attracted to the pheromones in their hair. The article reported Sordward and Shielbert begging the reporter and the photographer to grow away, embarrassed as if they were stark naked without their hairdos. Timothy snickered as he read the article and lowered his phone to show the article to Electchu.

Just as he was about to return to reading the article, Helga snatched his Rotom Phone and put it on the table with the screen facing down. She looked daggers at Timothy's phone as she sat between Timothy and Entalmorfious as though she had half a mind to smash it to pieces. Entalmorfious looked up from his tablet and shook his head, knowing what was on his wife's mind.

"Timothy, you know Mom's new rule: no mention or news articles of those two in this house," Entalmorfious said.

"Aw, come on, Mom. It's not that big of a deal," Timothy protested. "It's just an article about them before their next day of trial. Doesn't that make you anticipate how badly it's gonna go down for them?"

"No, it makes me wish I could reach into the photo on your Rotom Phone and strangle them," Helga said venomously. "As long as your former principal and vice principal are not in jail yet, they are in danger of me breaking into their house and squeezing their throats like getting juice out of Bulk Berries."

Timothy scoffed and shook his head before taking his phone to exit from the article. In the month since the battle at the Magnolia Paddock, Sordward and Shielbert were hit with legal troubles from two fronts. With Alexa's video to go with the files Oleana took from Sordward's computer, Superintendent Rose quickly put Sordward and Shielbert under investigation and suspended them. After a couple of days of gathering information, it was proven beyond reasonable doubt that Sordward and Shielbert took from the school budget, and because they did not officially expel Timothy, attacking a student with their Pokemon only strengthened their guilt.

Superintendent Rose terminated Sordward and Shielbert and took it upon himself to take over Motostoke High School while charging the brothers with theft and fraud. The superintendent used school money Sordward and Shielbert hadn't yet spent to purchase the new textbooks and equipment he wanted the school to have. He used the rest to give the staff a bonus as compensation for not being adequately paid, starting with Oleana. Oleana had become a new person after Superintendent Rose took over the school for the raise she wanted, and the superintendent's lightening her workload made her more cheerful when she was at school. Some students believed she had developed a crush on Superintendent Rose judging on how she adored him for how he ran the school.

Before Superintendent Rose officially pressed charges, however, Sordward and Shielbert were charged with assault on a minor. Entalmorfious and Helga were furious when they learned what Bisharp and Bronzong did to Timothy. Helga and Sonia were especially livid when, upon being arrested, Sordward and Shielbert posted bonds to avoid jail while their trials were underway. For the past three and a half weeks, Sordward and Shielbert stayed cooped up in their house when they weren't out to grab groceries, talking to their lawyers, or appearing in court. They were reduced to putting on disguises whenever they went outside, for all of Galar knew about how they almost destroyed the home of innocent Pokemon and harmed a minor with their Pokemon partners.

Legally, the Magnolia Paddock still belonged to Sordward and Shielbert while they were not yet found guilty and forced to sell their assets to pay back the money they took from the school. Sordward and Shielbert would spend several months making motions and appeals to delay judgment on both cases against them. Even when they are found guilty, it would be a long process for Professor Magnolia to reclaim the deed to the land. Still, while Sordward and Shielbert were willing to use all of their personal money to delay punishment, they knew that their fates were sealed. Even if they could weasel their way out of being brought to justice, the entire affair damaged their image beyond repair.

Timothy helped himself to another helping of pancakes and eggs, before he checked to see it was 9:08 and said, "Yikes. We better get going. Coovers is probably on his way to the station now."

"Work hard, son," Entalmorfious said.

"And tell our future daughter-in-law we said hello," Helga said.

"Mom!" Timothy shouted with his face beet red. "Knock it off! It's only been a month!"

Entalmorfious chuckled and shook his head while Helga smiled unashamedly, stating that she would never stop until she saw a ring on a certain someone's finger. Timothy groaned and stood up to put his dishes in the sink before he and Electchu headed out. Electchu giggled teasingly at Timothy, who gave it a stern glare before turning his Rotom Phone into a bicycle.

As Timothy rode his bicycle to the end of the block, he and Electchu glanced at the spot where Luke and Vanillite ambushed them. When Luke returned to Wedgehurst after his fight with Matori, his boss was livid that he left the ice cream truck at Motostoke. Luke explained what happened, but his boss didn't believe he went to the city to face off against a teenager who had the metal coil and caused Vanillite to cover the truck in ice. Fed up with Luke's antics, his boss fired him at last. With no one else willing to hire him, Luke and Vanillite moved to the Johto region to live in Luke's mother's basement. Last anyone heard Luke found a job as a janitor for a museum, though no one in Postwick or Wedgehurst believed his temper would let him keep it for long.

Timothy rode his bicycle through Postwick and across Wedgehurst to the Wedgehurst Station. Two dozen of his fellow students at Motostoke High were outside the station waiting for him in their Rotom bicycles with Oshawott and Piplup. A couple of yards away from them were Coovers and Erin making out against the wall with Coovers holding Erin and Erin's legs wrapped around Coovers. Many of these students Timothy recognized from the Pokemon battle team tryouts. Coach Surge was able to redo the tryouts with Sordward and Shielbert fired, and the roster for both single and double battles was finally filled. Coovers made the cut for single battles, much to the joy of him and Erin, for it allowed them to spend lots of time together.

Guzma was banned from partaking in tryouts after the student body came forward to everything he and Matori did to Superintendent Rose, though it wouldn't have mattered if they didn't. After being beaten, paralyzed, and thrown in a dumpster, Guzma, Matori, Ariados, and Meowth were too afraid to be near their peers, much less abuse or steal. Cross' parents and his teammates' parents decided to transfer them to a different school with a legit Pokemon Baccer program. Last anyone heard, they became the new Pokemon Baccer team for a school in the Hoenn region.

Timothy, Coovers, and Erin's fellow peers saw Timothy and Electchu arrive and sighed in relief simultaneously.

"Took you long enough," one girl said. "Those two have been added as soon as we got here. It's super uncomfortable."

"Yeah, sorry. Lost track of time," Timothy said before he turned to Coovers and Erin. "Hey, knock it off, you two. We got a job to do."

Coovers and Erin broke their kiss and gave Timothy bitter pouts before they planted one more kiss, and Coovers put Erin down. They turned their Rotom Phones into bicycles, and Timothy began leading the group to the outskirts of Wedgehurst. Coovers and Erin rode their bikes behind Timothy side by side with their Pokemon riding on their backs. They held onto their bicycles with one hand while holding each other's hands with their free hand as though they were out for a bike ride at the park. Timothy looked back to see Coovers and Erin and rolled his eyes, yet he and Electchu were glad to see Coovers so happy.

The teenagers rode their bikes to the outskirts of Wedgehurst and down the narrow road to the Magnolia's. Professor Magnolia was sitting on the bench with a cup of tea, and Yamper was napping in front of her. Sitting next to the professor was Sonia. She waited eagerly, her legs crossed and resting her head with her arm on her lap. She stared at her fingernails until she noticed Timothy, Coovers, Erin, and their classmates riding toward them. When Sonia saw Timothy, she smiled lovingly, which Timothy returned. It lifted their hearts to see the other look at them this way.

Timothy stopped his bicycle in front of Sonia, Professor Magnolia, and Yamper, and he and Electchu got off before Timothy turned his bicycle back into a phone. Sonia stood up and walked over to Timothy while Yamper woke to the sound of teenagers getting off their Rotom Bicycles. Timothy and Sonia stared into each other's eyes as they hugged with their cheeks pink. Sonia took out her Rotom Phone and looked at the time before she shook her head with a playful smirk.

"4 minutes early. You came a whole minute later than you did on Sunday," Sonia said.

"Yeah, I lost track of time and also had to break these two apart," Timothy said, pointing at Coovers and Erin.

Sonia chuckled briefly, unsurprised with how Coovers and Erin waited for Timothy at the train station. Professor Magnolia watched her granddaughter and her boyfriend with an edge of a smirk before she sipped the rest of her tea and stood up with her cane. She walked to the other teenagers taking their Pokemon partners out of their Pokeballs, and stomped her cane to grab their attention.

"Let's get a move on, kids. There's much work to be done," Professor Magnolia said. "You all have your assignments on the board, and the Pokemon are waiting, so get to it."

"Yes, Professor Magnolia," Coovers, Erin, and their peers said.

Everyone and their Pokemon rushed over to the entrance to the Magnolia Paddock, with Timothy, Sonia, Electchu, and Yamper coming behind. A large whiteboard hung on the wall next to the back door listing the high schoolers and their assignments in a dry-erase marker. Below the board were bags of Pokemon food, bowls, and two dozen large platform trucks, all donated by fellow students and their parents. Students got in line to look at their assignments before they each took a bag of Pokemon food and several Pokemon bowls. They pushed their trucks in different directions with their partners following to feed Pokemon throughout the paddock. Coovers and Erin were among the last people to look at the whiteboard, and they squealed in delight when they saw their names.

"Look, Smooch Pudding. We're sharing an assignment," Erin said.

"I know. What are the odds Professor Magnolia would do that?" Coovers said. "Come on, Honey Flower. Let's take care of some Pokemon."

"Oshawott," Oshawott said.

"Piplup," Piplup said.

Coovers and Erin each loaded a platform truck with bowls and Pokemon food, and together, they pushed their carts to their assigned locations. Oshawott and Piplup sat on their partner's platform trucks, ready to assist them. Timothy and Sonia looked at each other and shook their heads, smiling. Coovers and Erin begged Professor Magnolia to continually give them the same assignment ever since Erin began working for her. At this point, it was a matter of when they would stop acting surprised.

Timothy, Sonia, Electchu, and Yamper looked at the board to find their assignments with everyone else gone. Timothy was to feed the packs of Nickit and Rockruff, while Sonia was assigned to feed the Sobble and Chewtle living in the pond. They were also given the shared assignment of giving the Sobble and Chewtle their medicine, for they were recovering from a virus. Timothy and Sonia smiled, knowing their feeding assignments were close to each other.

"Do you get the feeling your gran is turning to us more than anyone to tend to the sick Pokemon?" Timothy asked.

"We're veterans, Timothy. Gran taught us everything we know about treating sick Pokemon," Sonia said. "I think she'll eventually want us to teach her new employees how to do it at some point. I mean, Coovers can too, but..."

"But he'll be easily distracted with 'Honey Flower' here," Timothy said, earning a giggle from Sonia. "Yeah, you're probably right. I'll get the food while you get the medicine?"

"Yup, yup," Sonia said.

Sonia entered the house while Timothy set Pokemon food and bowls on the last two platform trucks. When Sonia returned, she put a container of Pokemon medicine on the platform truck on the left while Timothy manned the one on the right. Electchu and Yamper hopped onto their partner's respective trucks, ready to ride on them.

Timothy and Sonia looked ahead to see Coovers, Erin, and all the other kids under Professor Magnolia's employment take care of the wild Pokemon. Everyone made sure the Pokemon had as much food as they needed. Their Pokemon partners had become good friends with the wild Pokemon, so they chatted while they ate, and the teenagers checked each of the wild Pokemon's health. Timothy, Sonia, Electchu, and Yamper smiled as they watched kids and Pokemon interacting at the Magnolia Paddock. It was as though their home had become a small community to serve Professor Magnolia's dream to take care of wild Pokemon in need.

"Well, ready to go?" Timothy asked.

"Hmmm. Almost," Sonia said.

Timothy turned his head just as Sonia walked over to him to give him a firm kiss. His eyes widened and his face turned red as Sonia caressed his cheek while hugging him with her other arm. After a few seconds, Timothy closed his eyes and squeezed Sonia as he kissed her back. Electchu and Yamper watched their partners, smiling with Yamper wagging its tail vigorously.

When they parted, Timothy and Sonia stared at each other bashfully with Sonia playing with her hair. Their hearts lept from this moment of passion, yet they were still not used to being affectionate. Still, with every kiss, their dream of being together felt more real, and they were one step closer to the full potential of their relationship. After a few seconds, Sonia grabbed her platform truck by the handle and took Timothy's hand with her other hand.

"Okay, now I'm ready," she said.

"Er, right," Timothy said before he shook off his blush to give his girlfriend a smirk. "Let's go take care of some Pokémon."

"Pikachu," Electchu said.

"Arf, Arf," Yamper barked.

Sonia's smile stretched to the sides of her face, and Timothy squeezed her hand. They pushed their platform trucks toward their destination hand in hand, bidding good morning to the wild Pokemon being taken care of as they went. Timothy glanced at Sonia as they walked and smiled, thankful that his high school days had become special with more friends, helping Pokemon in need, and being together with the girl he loved. A time of friendship and love more precious than any fame known to man and Pokemon.
