Chapter 21
For the first 20 minutes of first period, Timothy and Electchu stayed out in the hall. Timothy sat against the wall hugging his legs while trying to figure out how Sordward, Shielbert, Guzma, and Matori found out about his scheme. Electchu sat beside him, wishing it could comfort him or help him figure out how their enemies discovered their plan. It was also worried about Oshawott and Yamper, thinking about the helpless states they were in in the picture Alexa showed Timothy and Electchu.
Eventually, Timothy went back to heading to the main office to deliver the form to Oleana for no reason other than to avoid being seen by a student or staff member passing by. He knew he would have to face the music of everyone finding out he hadn't moved and expressed their contempt, but he wanted to delay the inevitable as much as possible.
When Timothy and Electchu entered the main office, they found Oleana more drained than usual. She was typing on her computer while six piles of paperwork covered her desk. The trash bin next to Oleana's desk was overflowing with empty coffee cups, yet it didn't appear the coffee affected Oleana. Timothy awkwardly cleared his throat to catch Oleana's attention. She was surprised by his appearance for a moment before giving him a bitter glare.
"Well, look who it is. Mr. I'm-gonna-piss-of-the-principal-and-vice-principal-and-make-life-a-living-hell-for-everyone," Oleana said. "Come to gloat on your achievement before moving, did you?"
"Uh, no. Actually, I'm not moving," Timothy said. "I came here with a form my parents signed to let you know I'm going to continue attending school."
"Continue? I think you've done enough in one week. Thank you very much," Oleana said coldly. "You may not know this, but adults can struggle to make ends meet. I've been working my butt off, waiting for the principal and vice principal to give me a raise. They assured me that the school budget should be bigger next year, in which case I'll get a raise for all my hard work, and now I and the rest of the staff will get paid less. If I were you, Mr. Durbin, I'd convince your parents to transfer you to another school. In fact, I'd tear your form apart and have security throw you out of here if we had any."
"Look, Ms. Oleana, I'm really sorry," Timothy said. "All I wanted was to get Superintendent Rose to reject the Pokemon Baccer program so Principal Sordward and Vice Principal Shielbert would give Professor Magnolia her land back. I swear, it never crossed my mind that Superintendent Rose would shrink the school's budget, affecting everyone, including your salary. I feel awful for what I've done."
"Pikachu," Electchu said.
"Heh. Well, if it's any consolation, you actually didn't get Superintendent Rose to shrink the school's budget," Oleana said.
"What? How do you know?" Timothy asked.
"Superintendent Rose only told me to tell the principal and vice principal that the Pokemon Baccer program is rejected," Oleana said. "I think he decided to shrink the budget later after reviewing further issues and told Mr. Sordward and Mr. Shielbert. Far as I'm concerned, you got what you wanted, and the rest is their own fault."
"Wait, that doesn't make any sense," Timothy said. "If Superintendent Rose shrank the school's budget, then what happened to the money Principal Sordward and Vice Principal Shielbert were going to use to -?"
Timothy's eyes widened as something clicked in his mind. He looked down and rubbed his chin, trying to think of other explanations for what Sordward and Shielbert could be up to. Electchu tilted its head, and Oleana raised her eyebrow as they watched Timothy. Finally, Timothy's face grew grave, and he stepped closer to Oleana's desk to be only a couple of feet away from her.
"Ms. Oleana, I don't think Superintendent Rose shrank the budget. Principal Sordward and Vice Principal Shielbert are taking the school's entire budget for themselves," Timothy said.
Oleana chuckled briefly and said, "And what leads you to that conclusion?"
Timothy took his Rotom Phone out of his pocket, opened the gallery app, and opened the pie chart picture on Sordward's computer. He handed his phone to Oleana, and her face fell as she analyzed the picture. She looked at the percentage of the Pokemon Baccer stadium, but the 1% on staff salaries attracted her the most. Oleana wouldn't have believed the picture was accurate had she not recognized the computer and Sordward and Shielbert's office in the background.
"Where did you get this picture?" Oleana asked.
"I took it late the other night," Timothy said. "I snuck into Principal Sordward and Vice Principal Shielbert's office for information regarding Superintendent Rose's visit. I was going to post this picture on social media on the way to Unova to ensure they don't destroy the Magnolia Paddock. If their project is rejected, there's a ton of money meant for the Pokemon Baccer stadium Principal Sordward and Vice Principal Shielbert claim the school doesn't have. I can't say for sure, but for all that I know, they used the school's budget in the past for things like buying the paddock or maybe even decorating their office. Either way, I don't think you would ever get the raise you've worked so hard for."
Oleana's eyes widened in disbelief. She looked at the photo again and tried to reason with herself that nothing Timothy said or showed was true. First, she considered that Timothy might have Photoshopped the picture, but it was a stretch that Timothy would sneak into Sordward and Shielbert's office only to take a picture of Sordward's computer and digitally add a pie chart. Then, Oleana checked the details tab of the picture, which showed it was taken at the time Timothy said it was. All the while, Oleana thought about all the hard work and ridiculous hours she had to put up with and Sordward and Shielbert telling her the school didn't have a big enough budget to give her a raise.
Oleana looked up from Timothy's phone and stared at the wall, her right eye twitching. Then, shrieking, she jumped out of her seat and threw Timothy's Rotom Phone against the wall. With another scream, she knocked her piles of paperwork off her desk, sending paper flying. Oleana grabbed her keyboard by both sides and slammed it against the desk repeatedly, cursing her bosses and making smutty remarks about their mother.
After slamming the keyboard against the desk, Oleana screamed a final time while vigorously running her fingers through her hair. Then she stared at the wall, breathing heavily with her teeth clenched as though Sordward and Shielbert were standing there. Timothy and Electchu were back against the wall closest to the entrance door, looking at Oleana fearfully as though she was on the verge of attacking them.
"You, uh, you get it out of your system?" Timothy asked.
"Enough," Oleana said before turning to Timothy. "Does anyone else know what you've discovered?"
"No," Timothy said, afraid of getting Coovers and Sonia into more trouble.
"If I took you to the principal and vice principal's office, do you think you can find the file containing the school's budget again?" Oleana asked.
"Er, I guess so," Timothy said.
"I see," Oleana said. "Then, this is what's going to happen. Principal Sordward and Vice Principal Shielbert will leave their office for morning rounds during third period. You will find that file when they're out so I can download it to my flash drive and bring it to Superintendent Rose. Until then, you are not leaving this office."
"But I still have to get to class now that I'm staying," Timothy said.
"Don't be stupid. You and your Pikachu show your faces in class, and Principal Sordward and Vice Principal Shielbert are bound to find out you haven't moved. Not to mention, the rest of the school will want your head, thinking you got Superintendent Rose to shrink the budget," Oleana said, pointing her finger at Timothy. "Your actions have made things harder for everyone in this school, and, as far as I'm concerned, you have no right to be a student until you atone for your actions. That means exposing Principal Sordward and Vice Principal Shielbert as the crooks they are while they still have the school budget."
Timothy looked at Oleana hesitantly with his back still against the wall. He'd rather not risk causing any more trouble trying to mess with Sordward and Shielbert for the sake of himself and his friends. Still, Timothy couldn't deny that Sordward and Shielbert needed to be stopped, and he did owe the school for their situation. He looked down at Electchu, who nodded, adhering to the school's secretary.
"Okay, Ms. Oleana. You win," Timothy said. "At third period, we take Principal Sordward and Vice Principal Shielbert down once and for all."
*******************************************************
Timothy and Electchu stayed in the main office with Oleana for the next couple of hours. Oleana had Timothy clean up the papers she knocked down as punishment for how he wronged her while they waited. Timothy thought it petty for Oleana to make him clean up the mess she made, yet he understood that she was still cross with him and he and Electchu didn't have anything better to do to pass the time.
Fifteen minutes into third period, Oleana turned off her computer monitor and declared it was time to sneak into Sordward and Shielbert's office. Timothy put Electchu in his backpack, and Oleana gave him sunglasses and a baseball cap from one of her desk drawers to hide his face. Oleana went ahead of Timothy and Electchu as they walked down the halls, making sure no one was passing by, leastways Sordward and Shielbert. Timothy constantly looked back as he followed Oleana while covering his face with the hat and glasses. When they reached Sordward and Shielbert's office door, Oleana knocked and waited a few seconds before opening it.
"Principal Sordward? Vice Principal Shielbert?" Oleana asked as she entered the office.
She waited for a response for a few more seconds before gesturing to Timothy with her arm to come in. Timothy entered the office, removed the hat and sunglasses, and let Electchu out of his backpack. He then went to Sordward's desk and hopped onto his chair while turning on the computer monitor. Electchu stood on the desk, and Oleana looked over Timothy's shoulder as he went into File Explorer and searched "School budget." The computer took a moment before it loaded several files, and Timothy selected the one titled "School_Budget" with the latest date. The file revealed the pie chart Sonia found, and Oleana pushed Timothy aside to look closely at the screen.
Oleana looked daggers at the pie chart, finding it exactly as it appeared on Timothy's Rotom Phone. She opened the file to the school budget the previous year, and the percentages were the same, except 92% of the budget went to buying the Magnolia Paddock. Oleana opened another file, and found 93% of the budget two years prior was on Sordward and Shielbert renovating their house. The file after that showed the school budget was used to renovate their office. On and on, Oleana looked at pie charts on the school's budget over the last several years to find most of it used on lavish spending. With each piece of evidence, Oleana's anger rose, making Timothy and Electchu worried she would throw a tantrum again.
"Uh, Ms. Oleana, I think we have more evidence than we need," Timothy said.
"Pikachu," Electchu said.
Oleana tightened her grip on the mouse and breathed deeply to calm herself. She took a flash drive from her jeans pocket and inserted it into Sordward's computer. Timothy and Electchu eased up, relieved that Oleana returned to the task at hand. As Oleana copied the files, Timothy opened the office door and peeked his head out, ensuring Sordward and Shielbert weren't coming back soon.
Timothy closed the door and began walking back to Oleana until he saw the studio from the corner of his eye. He stared at the stage, imagining Sordward and Shielbert boasting about using Timothy as a scapegoat after making their morning announcement. They were undoubtedly pleased that they had something that could reach out to everyone in the school and make the students and staff believe what they wanted them to believe. Timothy furrowed his brow as he wondered if Sordward and Shielbert had used their studio to frame someone who had crossed them in the past. Electchu, still standing on Sordward's desk while Oleana copied the files, grew uneasy as it saw Timothy hatching a plan again.
"Ms. Oleana, do you know how to use the studio?" Timothy asked.
"Who do you think turns on the spotlights or uses the camera when the principal and vice principal are making announcements?" Oleana asked, still focused on the files. "Those dolts wouldn't know the red light means they're on unless I tell them."
"Could you set it up for me, please?" Timothy asked.
Oleana frowned and looked up at Timothy with a raised eyebrow.
"What do you plan to do if I do?" she asked.
"I'm going to make my own announcement," Timothy said. "I can't prove that Superintendent Rose didn't shorten the budget because of what happened at the cafeteria, but I can prove that Principal Sordward and Vice Principal Shielbert are behind the lack of finances for this school. I want everyone in Motostoke High to hear from me that they are the real culprits and why I did what I did."
"Are you insane? You mean to let the whole school know that we're taking evidence to bring to Superintendent Rose," Oleana said.
"No, I'm only going to show the evidence I have on my Rotom Phone," Timothy said. "The only people Principal Sordward and Vice Principal Shielbert know that they bought the Magnolia Paddock are you, my friends, and me. As far as they know, Sonia and I are the only ones who want to hinder their plans for the Pokemon Baccer stadium. You leave with the files and get them to Superintendent Rose while Principal Sordward and Vice Principal Shielbert are focused on me."
"You're willing to get caught just to apologize to the school and otherwise ensure they are oblivious to me?" Oleana asked.
"You said it yourself, Ms. Oleana. I have to atone for my actions, and I have more to atone for than the food fight," Timothy said.
Oleana furrowed her brow, confounded that Timothy came up with such a risky idea so sporadically. Even if he wanted to do this to make amends, it didn't appear to Oleana that Timothy had entirely learned his lesson. Oleana had half a mind to lecture Timothy on thinking things through, but she lacked the knowledge to effectively teach him, and time was not on their side.
"Fine. If that's how you want to act like a big boy, indulge yourself," Oleana said. "As far as I'm concerned, our business is concluded anyway now that I have what I want to take down my bosses. I'll set up the studio, and then you're on your own."
"Understood," Timothy said.
As soon as Sordward's computer finished copying the files to Oleana's flash drive, she ejected her flash drive and put it back in her pocket. She then walked to the stage, turned on the spotlights, and checked the camera and the boom mic attached to it. Electchu hopped off Sordward's desk and ran to Timothy to tug his jeans with a worried look.
"Pikachu. Pika, Pika, Pikachu," Electchu said.
"I know this is crazy, Electchu, but I gotta do it," Timothy said. "Besides, I had this all wrong from the beginning. We didn't really stand up to the bullies. We just hit and ran, and the whole school, not to mention our friends, are paying the price. Dad stood up to his bully, and now I have to do the same. I will expose Principal Sordward and Vice Principal Shielbert, then face Guzma and Matori once and for all to keep them from bullying our friends again."
"Pika," Electchu said, uneasy.
"Okay, everything is set," Oleana said. "When you are ready, press the red button on the back of the camera. I set it so it'll skip that stupid opening introducing the principal and vice principal, so the broadcast will instantly start with you. Wait 5 minutes before you start the broadcast, so I'll be back at my desk when you start spilling the beans."
"Got it. Thank you, Ms. Oleana," Timothy said. "Good luck with Superintendent Rose."
"Heh. Good luck yourself. You'll need it," Oleana said.
Oleana walked to the office door, and opened it slightly to ensure Sordward and Shielbert were still not back before exiting the office. Timothy took out his Rotom Phone and set a timer for 5 minutes. Electchu hopped onto the camera, ready to press the red button while Timothy got on stage.
Timothy's hands shook as he stared at the camera. He had never spoken publicly through a camera before, and part of him wondered if he would fumble his words as soon as he was on air. Timothy opened the gallery app on his phone and opened a picture of him, Coovers, Sonia, Electchu, Oshawott, and Yamper. He zoomed in on Sonia's smiling face and looked at it with an edge of a smile. How Sonia would react to the broadcast, Timothy didn't know, but he mentally prayed that what he was doing would be enough to gain redemption and see Sonia's smiling face again.
Timothy was snapped from his trance when his alarm went off. Electchu used its tail to press the red button and waited until it saw a red light. It turned to Timothy and nodded to confirm he was on the air, and Timothy gulped before he took a deep breath and faced the camera.
"Uh, hi, everyone," Timothy said. "My name is Timothy Durbin, and as you can put together, I'm actually not moving to Unova. Long story. A couple of hours ago, Principal Sordward and Vice Principal Shielbert accused me of creating havoc at the cafeteria because I knew I would get away with it because I was going to move. I was the one who prompted Cross to start the food fight, knowing it would happen while Superintendent Rose was inspecting the school, but there is more to the story than that."
Timothy exited the picture of him and his friends and opened a picture of a group of Eevee at the Magnolia Paddock. He stepped closer to the camera and held his phone out so the people and Pokemon watching him on the TVs could see the picture. He waited several seconds before swiping to a picture of the Xatu with their egg, to a picture of a Skovet with a chipped tooth, to the water Pokemon swimming in the lake.
"What you are seeing are just some of the wild Pokemon under the care of Professor Magnolia," Timothy said as he showed more pictures. "My best friend, Sonia, is the professor's granddaughter, and her grandmother has taken in injured and sick wild Pokemon to live in her paddock outside of Wedgehurst since before Sonia and I were born. It means so much to Professor Magnolia that she can provide a home for these Pokemon, and Sonia and I are proud to help her grandmother however we can with our other best friend, Coovers. A few months ago, the land was bought from under Professor Magnolia's nose, and earlier this week, we learned that it was Principal Sordward and Vice Principal Shielbert who bought it. They intended to destroy the paddock and turn it into Motostoke High's Pokemon Baccer stadium. These pictures were for flyers Sonia and I made asking for help for the Pokemon, but Principal Sordward and Vice Principal Shielbert wouldn't allow us to hang the flyers in the hallways. When Sonia said she would tell Superintendent Rose about this, Principal Sordward and Vice Principal Shielbert threatened to make things hard on her and her grandmother. We caused the food fight and made it look like it was the Pokemon Baccer team's fault so that Superintendent Rose would reject their program, leading Principal Sordward and Vice Principal Shielbert to give the paddock back to Professor Magnolia. At the time, it seemed like the right thing to do to save the lives of Pokemon we hold dear."
Timothy paused to give the students, staff, and their Pokemon time to process the information before he continued.
"As for Principal Sordward and Vice Principal Shielbert saying Superintendent Rose garnished the school budget, that was a lie. In fact, Principal Sordward and Vice Principal Shielbert have been stealing money from the school's budget," Timothy said as he switched to the picture of the pie chart on his phone. "This pie chart is from Principal Sordward's computer. The budgets for things like lab equipment, sports equipment, textbooks, and other things have been tight because Principal Sordward and Vice Principal Shielbert have taken most of the money to build a Pokemon Baccer stadium, intentionally destroying the home of countless Pokemon. I also have it on good authority that this isn't the only year they've fiddled with the budget, so who knows what they will do with the money they're taking from school activities and staff salaries now that they can't build the stadium?"
Timothy stopped again to let the people and Pokemon in the school contemplate everything he showed. He wished he and Electchu could see their reactions and hoped showing the pie chart was enough to convince them that he was telling the truth. After seconds of holding his phone to the camera, Timothy's face softened as he thought of Coovers, Sonia, Oshawott, and Yamper. He wondered if he was making things up to them to some degree by doing this or if they were still unforgiving about the night before. The heartbreak in Sonia's eyes and the last thing Coovers said to Timothy replayed in his mind. Timothy sighed and lowered his phone before looking at the camera like Coovers and Sonia were before him.
"On a different note, I want to say to Sonia and Coovers that I'm really sorry about last night. We said we'd face everything together, and I ditched you. Coovers, you were right to be angry, but you're wrong about it being easy to make new friends. Even if I did make new friends in Unova, they would never compare to any of you. You guys are the most important people in my life, and that's never going to change," Timothy said. "Sonia, this is hardly the time or way to do this, but in case you didn't open your voicemail, I want you to know that even when we agreed to stay friends, I loved you, and I still do. I hope we can talk things out and finally give it a chance. Say the word, and I'm yours."
Timothy's cheeks turned pink as he made his vow. Even after confessing the night before, he wasn't used to saying he loved Sonia. If nothing else, he was sure that she heard him this time and hoped the fact he was willing to say it for the entire school to hear got his point across. His blush faded, and his face grew serious as he thought of Alexa's picture.
"Finally, I have this to say to Guzma and Matori: leave my friends alone," Timothy said. "It's me you want. I'm the one behind everything. If you want me, then let's settle this once and for all. I'll be in the parking lot at 3 o'clock."
"Oh, we doubt that."
Timothy's eyes widened. Before he knew it, the camera was off, and Electchu had hopped off of it and stood in front of Timothy defensively with sparks coming from its cheeks. Timothy turned to see Sordward and Shielbert standing beside the camera with Shielbert holding the cord to the camera. The brothers looked at Timothy with condescending smirks and Sordward's hands behind his back.
"Good morning, Timothy. So glad you could make it to school today," Sordward said. "Younger Brother and I were beginning to think the rest of the school year would be dismal without you."
"Yes, it's terrible to think that we wouldn't get the chance to punish you like the vacuous criminal you are," Shielbert said.
"I'm no criminal. People who commit crimes are criminals, like you two," Timothy said. "Surely you have seen the part in my broadcast where I proved what you've done to the school's budget."
"Oh, please. All you did was show a pie chart on your Rotom Phone. Anyone with half a brain can conclude that you made it yourself and Photoshopped the image to make it look like you found it in Older Brother's computer," Shielbert said. "I, for one, think it's fair to say people would be more likely to think that image was created by a rebellious nobody from Postwick trying to tarnish their principal and vice principal's spotless reputation."
"Even if there are people who think that others will want to find the truth for themselves," Timothy said. "I've heard of how money for things like lab equipment in school has been tight, and yet you'd give the Pokemon Baccer team free reign to halt the Pokemon battle team tryouts because you're so devoted to your stupid program. Spotless or not, people will be asking questions."
"Let them ask all they want. They're never going to get any concrete evidence," Sordward said. "Besides, so what if we've fiddled with the budget? We are royalty reduced to be leaders of a school, even if it is in one of the largest cities in our beloved region. We deserve all the money this school gets and more. What does it matter if there's less money to have nice computers, lab equipment, or Pokemon battles after school? None of that is going to be relevant outside of school anyway. All of you, children, will grow up to find all of that meaningless. You'll get jobs that barely make ends meet while living in apartments smaller than our office. You will learn that life is not all fun, whether here or out there. That you're here just to live underneath your superiors' feet."
"You're no royalty. You never have been," Timothy said. "You're nothing but self-important thieves using your ancestry to hide that you are just civilians like the rest of us."
Sordward and Shielbert gasped as though 'civilian' was a foul word.
"Watch your mouth, Timothy," Shielbert said. "Do not make this personal."
"It was already personal when you bought the Magnolia Paddock, devastating the girl I love," Timothy said.
"Pikachu," Electchu said in agreement.
"Oh, stop calling our resort the 'Magnolia Paddock' already. We are sick of hearing that tacky name," Sordward said.
"Resort? What are you talking about?" Timothy asked.
Sordward and Shielbert looked at Timothy, confused momentarily, before snorting and laughing out haughty laughs.
"That's right. You thought you saved those Pokemon. Didn't you?" Shielbert said. "I must admit when Ms. Oleana told us Superintendent Rose rejected our project, Older Brother and I were rather clueless about what to do about the land. Then we saw you on your way out from detention and told your Pikachu that you 'saved the paddock.' We were on our way home ourselves and happened to be within earshot. While we can't figure out for the life of us how you did it, it doesn't take much to figure out that you are behind what happened at the cafeteria."
"Plus, you did just confess your plan to the entire school, which helps, too," Sordward said.
Timothy's heart sank. He couldn't believe that he didn't consider that Sordward and Shielbert could still be in the school when he was exiting the building. Electchu looked at Timothy and then at Sordward and Shielbert in shock before it went back on all fours, ready to attack the principal and vice principal if Timothy gave the word. Sordward and Shielbert smirked, looking down at Timothy and Eletchu with their hands behind their backs in superiority.
"Yes, that's when we decided that, while we didn't yet know what to do about the paddock, we knew we couldn't give it back to the professor," Sordward said. "So, after a night of brainstorming, we decided to make the paddock a spa resort. We're thinking of calling it the Two Kings Spa."
"And when that becomes a hit, we'll demolish more of the land to make a casino," Shielbert said. "After that, we've been thinking of buying more land to build an amusement park with us as the theme, followed by a hotel and a monorail."
"And all the while, Postwick and Wedgehurst will get plenty of tourism as we originally planned, and you puny village folk will be ever so grateful that we've enriched your lives with such attention," Sordward said.
"Postwick and Wedgehurst are towns. Not villages. The correct term is townspeople, you incorrigible dullard," Timothy said.
"The correct term will be whatever we want it to be," Shielbert said. "After all, it'll be so grand and the people will be so grateful that they may as well change the names of the villages. One will be Sordville, and the other will be Shielberg. Of course, we'll have to fight over who gets to rename your settlement."
"You won't even be able to build your spa resort, much less rename my town. As long as I live, you won't lay a finger on the land," Timothy said.
Sordward and Shielbert chuckled with their mouths closed.
"How amusing. You're either in denial, or you really think you can make a difference with nothing but your Pikachu to aid you," Sordward said.
"Indeed. I, for one, am almost tempted to let you try to stop us. To let you go to Wedgehurst and try to stop our bulldozers from demolishing what belongs to us," Shielbert said. "But, no matter what happens, we are destroying the paddock at 4:30 today, and I think we've indulged in you defying us long enough."
Shielbert removed a Pokeball from his coat pocket, and a Bronzong popped out. Bronzong cackled upon seeing its yellow opponent a quarter its size. Electchu kept its battle stance with more electricity coming out from its red cheeks to show it wasn't afraid. Timothy's hands turned into balls of fists as he continued to glare at Sordward and Shielbert. He didn't know why only one of the brothers took out their partner, but he wouldn't go down without a fight.
"Electchu, use Thunder Shock!" Timothy shouted.
"Hypnosis on both of them," Shielbert said.
Bronzong's eyes glowed multicolored, and multicolored circles were released from its body. The circles hit Timothy and Electchu before Electchu could move, and their eyes glowed multicolored as they became drowsy. Electchu fell on its side, asleep, and Timothy got down on one knee, fighting to stay awake.
"You...cheating...dastards," Timothy mumbled.
"Sorry, pissant. Next time, learn to pick your fights," Sordward said.
"If either of us were you, we would think about getting used to staying on the ground in front of your superiors after you have your beauty sleep," Shielbert said.
Sordward and Shielbert cackled as Timothy fell to his side. He rolled on his back and stared at the ceiling as his eyes grew heavy. As Timothy closed his eyes, he muttered until he fell asleep.
"I'm...so...sorry...Sonia. So...sorry. Sssoooooo...ssssooooorrrrrrrrr..."
