Prologue

When you feel worthless, neglected, and ashamed for whom you are, you just want to give up. Sometimes being a teenager makes you want to die.

I am Carter Mortonson, and I’m sorry, but this may end badly. I’m not one of those girls who cry over every little thing, and I’m not one of those girls who make other girls feel unwanted and horrible about just them living on this planet. But I am one of those girls that try and live their life, but like I said, this may end badly because I just may not be able to take this crap anymore.

There are so many people these days that enjoy seeing other people’s pain, and you know what?

I’m tired of it.
