I walked inside and saw Eve sitting at the kitchen table. "Hey Eve!" I said and kissed her cheek. She seemed really upset. "Whats wrong?"

she started to tear up. She sighed. "Pap had died last night. I have to go out there for a month. I know I havent been here and Im really sorry. I want to take you with me, but we just dont have the money."

I sighed and nodded. "Im leaving tomorrow morning. Mrs. Grier had offered her home to you if you get lonley here, and she needs a babysitter so you can have some money while im gone."

I nodded and went up to my room. I sighed and collapsed onto my bed.

Morning came in and i wasnt ready for school. I walked into Eve's room to see she was already gone. I went in my bathroom and took a shower.

I wrapped the towel around me and got out and jumped in fear seeing Hayes in my bathroom fixing his hair. "What the hell are you doing?" I screamed.

"chill out. I wanted to see if you wante to walk to school together. "

"can I get ready or should I just go ahead and leave naked?" I asked with sarcasm. "I wouldnt mind." He said in a serious sarcasm.

I rolled my eyes and went into my room and locked the door so he couldnt see me. I put on some white skinny jeans and a tie dye T-shirt along with my blue red vans.

I walked back up to the door, unlocked it and opened it. "Why did you lock it?!" "I didnt want a perv like you to see me naked." He got a little closer." Then maybe you should close your blinds once in a while." he whispered in my ear. I looked at him with the 'are you serious' look and he just smirked.

I hit his chest playfully and went into the bathroom to curl my hair. "You know breaking an entery is not going to gain my trust."

He walked in and rolled his eyes. After I finsihed that I applied just a little mascara and I was good to go. I went into my room and grabbed my bag and my phone. We walked downstairs and he stopped. "What?"

"can I get some food?" I laughed and nodded and handed him the oreos. He smiled and we walked out the door. "And ya'll called me the fat cow." I mutter under my breath. He stopped and dropped the Oreos. "What was that?"

I giggled. "nothing" "Im gonna get you!" and he chased me. I was no where near as fast as he was so when he caught me he picked me up over his shoulders. " HAYES GRIER PUT ME DOWN THIS INSTANT!!" I said hitting his back. "what are you going to do about it? Say I am the hottest guy in the world and that i am NOT a fat cow."

"I dont lie to my friends" I snapped back. "suite yourself." He ran up and down hills and spun around "HAYES CHILL OUT CHILL OUT okay okay I ll say it. Hayes your the hottest guy in the world." "AND"

"ughhh and your not a fat cow." he smiled. "thank you very much." he put me down and I felt like I was going to throw up. "Do you maybe want to do something afterschool? we can go to the mall or we can go to the park or something." I would love to."

We arrived at the school and I saw Shawn. "Hey beautiful!" I blushed like crazy. "Well hello Handsome." Hayes was being a little rude and just rolled his eyes and walked away.

"Whats his problem?" I shrugged. I honestly didn't know. He couldnt be jealous. Were not a thing and neither are me and Shawn.

I went to my locker and put my phone inside. I walked to first period thinking, why was he acting like that towards Shawn? I sat down and of course Hayes was late.

Class was very boring. I was beginning to fall asleep when i felt Hayes touch my thigh. I jumped a little and when he removed his hand, he left a note.

"Mr.Grier? What are you doing?" I guess he saw Hayes touch me. "Well Sir I was just trying to wake up Ms. Henderson over here from her little nap."

I rolled my eyes and the teacher nodded as everyone giggled. I looked at the note. "Lynn, Chase AJ Kelsey and I are going to the Whaley House tonight. Wanna come?"

I looked up at him and nodded. he smiled. I went to my locker to put my stuff away. No one really talked to me. I was actually happy because they wernt torturing me.

Hayes and Chase and AJ are really nice to me now. Shawn Is the sweetest but I wish he wasnt a year older. I felt someone cover my eyes with thier hands "guess who?" "OMG is it HARRY STYLES?!"

I smacked him in the face and turned around. I knew it was Hayes. Chase ad AJ had propped against the lockers acting all cool. there too cute.

"So tonight were going to play a game. everyone has a partner. Lynn and Hayes, Me and Kelsey, and AJ and Madison. Were gonna sneek into the most haunted house in North Carolina, The Whaley House. Were going to spilt up and go inside. Whoever runs out first loses and the last team wins 20$ from each player except thier teammate." Chase said.

"80$." Hayes said. "your on." me and hayes both said. I started to walk towards the lunchroom, when hayes pulled me aside.

"Do you wanna skip?" I nodded as I went back to my locker to get my things. We walked out the door and then down the street. "If you want we can go over to my house and watch some movies?" I suggested.

He nodded and smiled at me. We reached my house and walked inside. We both sat on the couch and watched old 80s movies for a while. "lets play a game." he looked at me and smirked. "oh my gosh hayes!" and I hit him.

"No lets play the question game. You ask a question, then I answer and ask one back. " He nodded "Alright Ill go first. " I said "What is the furthest you have ever been with a girl?"

He thought about it then spoke. " Just like 3 minutes worth a makeout session. And it was with Maggie." he said with disgust.

I laughed and said, "Okay your turn." "Okay have you ever kissed anyone?" I looked down embarressed. "No. Ive never had a boyfriend. And besides boys got thos cooties!"

He laughed and said "what about on the cheek?" "just by you and Nash. I hate when people kiss me on the cheek."

He then smirked and started to tackle me and kiss me on my cheek a thousand times. "Hayes gross! Get off you little wierdo!" he laughed and got up." okay its your turn." I thought about it. "why did you act so rude around Shawn?" he rolled his eyes a bit. I giggled.

"awwe is the little Hayes Jeawous!" he scoffed "please, I just dont like him." I looked at him." if you dont like him what did he ever do to you?"

He looked up. "I just dont like him." I sighed and walked up to my room. I went into my room and switched from the tie dye shirt into a plain black croptop and my galaxy vans.

I heard a knock at the door. "hey." I smiled "are you okay?" "why wouldnt I be?" "you seemed a little upset earlier." I shook my head. "nah just came to change," he noded. "are you ready to go?" "its only 4?"

he shook his head. "Its 7:45." I laughed "i swear to god it was 4 like 2 minutes ago.!" he just laughed at me. We walked downstairs and walked to the whaley house. "are you scared?" he asked me. "do I look scraed to you?" he shook his head and we kept walking.

We got up to the house and Chase and AJ were here and madison and kelsey. "alright yall ready?" chase said. We all nodded as we crawled threw the window. When we got in it was really dark. "okay this place is huge so we all need to split up. the first one out looses. And to twist it up, no flashlights." Chase said as We all nodded.

"ready. Set. GO!" we all ran Hayes dragged me into a long hallwaymand into a room. It looked like my sisters room beofre she died. We kept hearing noises from the closet. "You open it." I said. "are you crazy?! you open it."

I shrugged and walked over and opened it. There was a kitten inside but i didnt wamt to mess with it because I didnt know if it had rabbies.

We walked down hallways upstairs then he dragged me downstairs into the basement. "Hayes, I-" he pulled me closer and wrapped his arms around me.

"Ill keep you safe." He whispered in my ear. for some reason I beilieved him. I looked up as he looked dow n.

I looked into his eyes. God his eyes were perfect. You could just stare at the all day. He started to lean in. I was a little nervous.

Am I about to kiss my bully?

I started to lean in but then we heard a scream. We looked out the little window in the basement and noticed that AJ and Madison were outside.

"We should scare the living crap out of Chase and Kelsey, so then they will go outside." I said. He smirked. We snuck upstairs to go see wher they were. They were in the master bedroom.

I looked over the door to see if they were looking and they wernt. So I slammed the door shut. and we quietly sped walked down the stairs (tip toeing in my jordans lol its a vine) and back into the little girls room.

Hayes peaked out the door to see where they were and they were in the hallway. I handed hayes a glass plate and he tossed it in the hallway causing it to break and scare the life out of them.

We then managed to sneak into the living room and behind the couch. We were shaking the couch when they walked in and they were terrified.

They immediatly ran out of the house. We got out from behind the couch ad busted out laughing. We walked out casualy.

"I am never going back in there." Chase said. I covered my mouth to hold back my laughter. Chase handed me a twenty as well as madison AJ and Kelsey.

I hugged them by and me and hayes and chase began walking back. "That was alot of fun you guys." I said they nodded. Chase turned the other way to go back to his house. I reached the door of my house and gave Hayes a hug.

"is it okay if I stay for a while?" I smiled and nodded. we walked inside and decided on a scary movie and some popcorn. We walked up to my room and put the movie in.

I sat down on the bed and patted next to me inviting him on my bed. He practically jumped on me. "Oh my god Hayes really?!" I said out of breath he laughed and we sat and watched the movie.

There were some really scary parts and I would nuzzle my head into his chest as he put his arm around me.

"You werent scared of the house but your scared of this?" I giggled. "Actually, in the house there wasnt a serial killer after us, the house wasnt that scary, just old with an old legend behind it that was never true. and plus you were 'keeping me safe' remember?"

"oh- ho yeah, Your know we never got to finsih what we were doing.." I looked up at him as he was smirking. "That would be....?" As I said that he smashed his lips onto mine.

My first kiss was with my bully. There were sparks flying everywhere. the kiss was like a 30 second kiss but it was still amazing. "you know, for your first time, your not that bad of a kisser." he smirked. I giggled.

"Do you want to spend the night?" "let me ask my mom." I nodded and went to go change. I wore sweatpants and an old t shirt of my moms.

I went into my mom and dads old room to get some clothes for hayes. I walked back in my room. "she said yes." I nodded and handed him the clothes.

he smiled and went to the bathroom to change. I put the popcorn away and turned on another movie. I crawled in my bed as he walked in.

He looked exactly like my dad standing there. He crawled in the bed and i snuggled into him and feel asleep really quick.
