pride

Even when Alexa Bliss made harsh comments about the Irish Lass Kicker, Rebecca could only look at the crowd not for support, but in awe. Despite outlandish accusations thrown to taint Becky's reputation, Lynch still held onto the beauty of everything happening in the ring.
The fact that Becky Lynch was the first woman drafted to Smack Down could very easily inflate an ego, but instead her boots remain cemented to the ring as she smiles at each competitor.
The reality was that inside that ring stood her competition, the very women that could pry her of holding gold. Except Rebecca knew that these women were not in it to sabotage her.
In times of darkness, the Irish beauty has learned that much of the WWE is all dust land and fairy tales. Most of who seem menacing and threatening are only playing a make belief character.
Alexa Bliss has become down right vile, but outside the ring, Rebecca knows that the 5 foot nothing blonde is pure goodness.
There was a time when Rebecca felt so cheated out of everything. Rage was the ruling emotion, making Lynch believe that life owed her something. Hearing her name be thrown into the Four Horsewomen stable become more of a curse than an honor.
Time after time, Becky saw all her sisters soar high above her. The more time passed, the more irrelevant she became. It hurt to feel like out of the four, her light shone the most dim.
Yet, as Becky Lynch faces her future competitors without a shred of doubt or fear, in seeps into her mind that that very confidence she know possesses would not have existed if it weren't for her very sisters:
Sasha
Bayley,
Charlotte —
The Four Horsewomen.

♕C h a r l o t t e —
was a Queen.
Her presence was that of someone who dined with Kings & Queens.
Her in ring ability demanded attention. Never hindered by dirty comments, Charlotte stood tall against all adversity because her confidence was unbreakable.
+
☼ B a y l e y —
was the sun.
Nothing short of good vibes, purity, innocence,
warmth, love & affection she was.
In a company so frustrating,
Bayley provided love above hate.
+
♡ S a s h a —
was the heart.
Frail in body, Banks worked harder than anyone to become unbreakable.
Despite being so different from her character,
inside the ring Sasha Banks was The Boss,
a combustible element often times referred to as dynamite.

From the love grown by a strong friendship,
Charlotte instilled confidence in Becky Lynch.

Bayley taught Becky that failure is not to be feared.
It's a necessity to achieve success,
the key to strength and love.

Right from the start, Banks saw the potential in Becky.
Sasha was the dynamite, but she couldn't spark
without fire,straight fire.
Despite having felt crushed by the burden of expectations that came from being in the stable of the 4 Horsewomen, in many ways -- those three women healed Becky Lynch's spirit, body, and mind.
How wrong she was to once feel so left out. "I belong here." Becky states, holding Alexa's glare as she walks the perimeter of the ring before standing in the center, showered in applause.
Lynch took another second to take it all in, the hard-working souls that were hungry for glory.
Every soul in the center wanted to be the first Women's Champion of Smack Down, but they also wanted to build each other up. Their mindsets all linked with the same idea:
If they all worked together, there be no weak link. Because of their efforts to strengthen each other, the spotlight shined on them all equally.
Carmella was holding her own, personally having requested to be split from Enzo and Cass because the Princess of Staten Island's ambitions were bigger than simply being a manger, two men's valet.
Natalya was a veteran, deserving of gold and all the recognition possible.
Eva Marie may not have been her favorite, but the red-headed amateur was training and in the ring, and that's more than what the average hater will ever do.
Alexa Bliss lacked height, but that didn't hurt her chances. The most comfortable on the mic and transformed with a perfected heel persona, the tiny superstar was a force of nature.
Naomi was finally getting positive exposure, highlighted more prominently as the flexible, swift Goddess that woman was in the ring. Lighting up the stadium like no one's business, Naomi was one to look out for.
Nikki Bella standing tall in the ring warmed Becky's heart because despite any negativity surrounding the Bella for who she dated, after her well documented recovery, the woman's love for the business could not be denied.
Becky shakes her head at Alexa, laughing at her silly accusations because everything was beautiful and nothing hurt.

"As long as I am here, you will never achieve anything."
Alexa directs at Becky, triggering a pressure point in the Irish Lass.
"See that's where you're wrong Alexa. I do belong here! Come this Sunday, I'll be the first Women's Champion of Smack Down because"
Lynch pauses as she slowly faces all the women fighting for the coveted title, "I may not be the brightest, the most fabulous, the Red Queen. I may not come from the Hart Dungeon, I'm not the most fearless and I certainly wasn't born for this, but I am a warrior and come this Sunday, I'm lighting up a fire and bringing the fight!"
"Who do you think you are?" Bliss hisses, threatening to attack the Irish Lass as the petite blonde pushes Lynch around. "Mark my words Alexa, this Sunday I will make you tap out to become Smack Down's first ever Women's Champion, but first I'll take your arm because I'm Becky Freaking Lynch! That's who I am think I am!"
From behind the barricade, Fergal smiles as old shades of the Becky Lynch shine through. The coals have warmed up, going up in flames again as a feisty nature takes over Lynch.
Tenacious as ever, Becky fights like a true warrior as she single handedly delivers a Lass Kicking to Bliss.
Mayhem breaks out in the ring, bringing the peace to a halt as chaos is swung through forearms and kicks by all the women in the ring.
Protective of the new title belt, Daniel takes hold of the coveted prize as he and Shane bolt out the ring and sheepishly stand by, both delighted and terrified.
The two minds that run the place highly respect their female talent, acknowledging that everyone one of them is a lethal weapon capable of tearing each other apart.
Their bones can break and happily so, the women would endure broken limbs if it meant stealing the show.
Taking the fight outside of the ring, Alexa drags Becky down only to have Bliss's ideas countered by a deathly Dis-Arm-Her.
Merely a few seconds in to the submission, Bliss taps out as she wails and cries for Becky to stop. Becky releases Alexa and finds her balance as she stands tall, looking onto the war from the ramp.
Her eyes scan the premise, landing on familiar eyes. Out of all the bodies in the building, Becky's eyes gravitate towards the warmest shade of blue she's ever known—
Fergal's eyes.

Fixated onto her brown eyes, I forget how to function, nonetheless form words. As if to alleviate the nerves or awkward feeling caused by our presences, Becky shifts her eyes between the ring and me.
The second time our gazes coincide, her lips lightly part and in her eyes, I see a revolution.
Upon turning her back to me, my eyes fall onto the light bruises on her back inflicted by the show down that occurred in the ring. Her balance becomes wobbly and as she leans on the barricade for support, our hands meet.
Without meaning to, her dainty hand rests on my hand that was clutching onto the barricade.Instinctively my other hand pats her shoulder, and that's when we look at each other up close and personal.
"Rebecca"
"Fergal"
As if meeting all over again for the first time, a shy smile twitches up on the corner of her lips. Her eyes avert to our hands, too shy to glance into my eyes as when we first met, all she could do was blush.
"Don't look at me." She'd say, finding my eyes to be, "too piercing and intimidating."
The silence ends when her hand gently squeezes my own. "I'm happy." She confesses, bringing back fond memories of a silly game we invented.
Whenever I'd walk her home after training, we had this game where we could only confess to things. It could be as random as how we felt that day, who we loved, what tune was our guilty pleasure, etc.
I smile, finding my response quickly but delivery too slow. "I'm proud of you." I whisper, convinced that she didn't hear until I'm met by the profile of her face as Becky slightly turns to face me.
"Me too."
She laughs, glancing back at the ring once more before fading out towards the back.
I stand paralyzed behind the barricade, having only come to witness the start of Rebecca's rebirth, her climb to the top.
A few days ago, the idea of Rebecca and I speaking was only possible in my dreams. Now, I make my way backstage just to truly validate her progress.
A year ago, Rebecca felt robbed and the most insignificant. Burdened by the success of Charlotte, Sasha, and Bayley, Becky grew resentful of herself for not being happier about their triumphs. Bitter and self loathing she grew, always pegging others as more worthy.
Many times before had Rebecca confessed to me in between sobs that she was nothing. "Sasha's the heart, Charlotte's the body bringing the division up, and Bayley's the positive spirit everyone loves."
Cursed with a horrible habit of speaking too late, how I wish I could have told her that glory would not be achievable without the means of having guts ; and guts is what Becky Lynch was all about.
I wanted to tell her so badly, but the real reward to not was seeing her realize that herself.
Now, Rebecca was beaming, no longer trying to prove anything to anyone because from a far, I could tell that no one was more proud of her display out in the ring than herself.
For once, she was doing everything for herself. For that, the only thing that stung inside my heart was the one pure sentiment I felt for her —
pride.
