"it's so ridiculous! like, how do you follow someone 'on accident', and not realize until they dm you?" juniper continued ranting her story to her co-worker as she stuffed her face with the cheez-its she'd stolen from him.

jaemin sat in the corner of the couch, legs curled in his lap as he watched her. "maybe he was super tired when he followed you? and didn't realize until you said something?"

makes sense... "that doesn't make sense." the girl pouted, dropping her head against her closed fists. jaemin smiled at her expression and shrugged. "you're right. doesn't make any sense. he must have been flustered to see you message him and blew it off as a mistake." the sarcasm was present in his voice, but his words made juniper perk up.

"june, i was being sarcastic—"

"no, no, listen," juniper rushed out, crumpling the cheez-its wrapper in her hand before scooting towards her coworker. "what if he actually does watch my stuff and just wanted to follow me like any other fan?"

jaemin pursed his lips, unamused, and when juniper caught him, she smacked his arm. "what? i'm very likable."

"i didn't say you weren't." he defended. "honestly, june, this guy seems kind of irrelevant. why are you getting so worked up over him?"

juniper swiped some loose strands of hair from her face and fought the urge to blush as she spoke. "no reason... he's just popular, that's all." she chose to leave out the fact that his videos were all she watched in high school—that he was the reason she wanted to be a streamer.

deciding to change this topic, juniper fixed her ponytail and stood from the couch, offering a hand to her coworker when she was done. "you know, you're my favorite male."

a beaming, toothy smile spread across the boy's face as he took her hand. "really? wow, it's an honor."
