A/n- This chapter may seem like it's steamy, but it's only meant to be cute😂💕
"So she tried wooing your parents with store-bought chocolate truffles?" Alya said. "Ha! This is priceless!"
"I know," Marinette laughed.
"What's next? Asking you to come over and hang out?" Both girls burst out in laughter as they headed to P.E. class. They were biking today, so they changed into their gym clothes, leaving their regular ones in their lockers.
"Bet I can beat all of you losers in a race," Chloe snickered.
"Bet you won't even be able to get on your bike," Alya shot back with a smirk.
The rest of the girls gasped, and some even began laughing.
"Grrr..." the blonde balled her fists. "You are so going down, glasses."
For the whole period, it seemed as if it was Chloe vs Alya. They'd purposely try to cut each other off, or "accidentally" bump into each other from behind. Marinette just tried to stay as far way as possible.
"You're so bad, you don't even deserve to have a bike!" Alya yelled when they came back into the girls locker room.
"Oh really? Sabrina doesn't think so! Right?!" The redhead quickly nodded.
"Chloe is a great bike rider!"
"Whatever," Alya just rolled her eyes, quickly unchaining and changing back into her regular clothes as she headed for the door. "Sorry girl, I've gotta meet Nino outside. His dad's waiting to pick us up."
"Alright," Marinette smiled. "You two have fun!"
"Thanks! We will!" She waved just before the door shut.
The bluenette was thankful that P.E. was the last class of the day. She was exhausted. Her and Chat Noir has been on patrol from 10:00-1:00 in the morning, and they even had to fight an akuma. She really hated when Hawkmoth decided to akumatize someone that late. Doesn't he know that we have lives too?
Lost in thought, she placed her gym clothes on the bench beside her and opened her locker to grab her regular clothes. When she closed the locker, Chloe took her P.E. clothes, holding them up in the air. "Ew! These are so sweaty, aren't they?"
"Hey, give that back, Chloe!" Marinette turned to try and grab them, but failed. When she turned back around, her regular clothes were gone as well.
"Toss it over, Sabrina!" The blonde laughed as her sidekick threw the clothes right over her head, as if they were playing a game of monkey in the middle.
"This isn't funny, you two!" The bluenette glared, becoming more and more aggravated by the minute.
"Chloe, give Marinette's clothes back," Alex defended.
"Like I'm gonna listen to a short stack like you," she mocked. "This is getting boring. Sabrina, scissors?" Growling, Marinette ran after the bully, but got nowhere. She was practically chasing her around in circles. The remainder of girls in the locker room just stood there, too overwhelmed to say or do anything.
Chloe eventually got to Sabrina and carefully took the scissors from her. She then got up on one of the benches, as if making an announcement. "So, Maritrash," she started. "Tell me...how long did it take you to make this outfit? Ooo! Or better yet, how much did it cost? I bet the fabric was nothing more than 5 cents! I mean, it sure looks like it!"
"As if if tell you." The bluenette snarled.
"Ooo, I'm so scared. What's she gonna do to me?" Without warning, the queen bee began cutting. She ripped Marinette's shirt right in half from top to bottom.
"Hey, stop!" Marinette yelled, getting up on the bench with Chloe, only to miss her again when she jumped off and ran to the other side of the room. She the. took her pink jeans and cut holes into the sides of them.
"There," she laughed evilly. "I'd say this is an improvement. Now you can have your clothes back!"
Marinette's mouth flew open as she halfway caught her clothes; the clothes she had been wearing all year; the ones that took her weeks to sew; the ones that were her mothers' favorite. Tears began to burn in her eyes, and she felt her whole body tremble with humiliation. And to make matters worse, Chloe had taken her gym clothes and threw them in the locker room toilets.
"Now she has nothing to wear except for her sports bra and booty shorts. But honestly, I don't even think she needs a bra." Chloe sashayed out of the room, Sabrina following close behind. The whole locker room stared at her, as if expecting her to do something. But what could she do? Tell the teacher? I don't think so. Marinette was sure she could handle this on her own. She was perfectly capable of-
Tears began streaming down her face. "...Marinette?" Rose asked quietly. "D-do you want me to go tell someone-"
"No!" The bluenette answered almost too quickly, wiping her tears away. "I-it's fine. W-we don't need to get any teacher involved with this." Before anyone else could say anything, Marinette ran to the back door and shut it behind her.
That's when the rain came flooding down on her, soaking her face more than the tears did. Why did she run outside when she wasn't decent? Well, for one, no one could see her in the back of the building. And to simply put it, she didn't want to see anyone from school at the moment. This was all fueled by complete and utter embarrassment.
She leaned back against the building, closing her eyes, letting the rain be her tears. She couldn't cry. She wouldn't cry. Heroes don't cry.
"Marinette?"
The sudden voice caused her to jump a bit. Forgetting what she was wearing, or...not wearing, she opened her eyes, turning towards the voice. She gasped. "A-Adrien?!" Now she remembered what she had on. She immediately covered her chest. What in the world is he doing here?
Now realizing what state she was in, he quickly looked away, a deep red painting his cheeks. "S-sorry! A-are you ok?"
Not knowing how exactly to respond, she just shrugged, biting her lip. But then she realized he couldn't see her cause he was turned away. Stupid! "Uh...I-I'm...ok..."
"Are you sure?"
"...No."
"What happened?"
"Well, I-I don't have any clothes on. I...lost them," She lied. "I-I looked everywhere in the locker room, but neither I or any of the girls could find them.
"So...you come out here? I mean-I'm not trying to judge or anything, just-"
"I know, it's stupid." Marinette sighed, eyes adverting downwards. "I just wanted to get away...from everything."
After a long pause, Marinette thought Adrien had ran away. She wouldn't blame him if did, though. "I get it," he finally spoke. "With all the photo shoots and fashion shows my dad makes me to do. I know I probably shouldn't be complaining. There are people that have it worse than me." The bluenette blinked in surprise. Why does he have to be so nice, and sweet, and, well...perfect?
"That's not-I-I mean...your life is worse than mine-I mean-"
"Marinette," he interrupted, changing the subject. "If you need something to wear to get home in..." his voice became muffled for a second. "Then have this."
She glanced in his direction. Adrien still had his eyes closed, but he was now shirtless-
Wait.
Adrien is shirtless.
Right in front of me.
...
AHHHHH!!!! The bluenette's face turned dark red, and she felt as if her whole body was on fire. What do I do, what do I do, what do I-"
"...Marinette?" His voice snapped her out of her daze. She blinked quickly, looking down at his hand, which held his white striped t-shirt in front of her. Without thinking, she took it, and slowly put it on.
The shirt snaked down to a little bit above her knees, and she suddenly felt ten times warmer. Alya's gonna freak out when I tell her about this! "Uh...can I Look now?"
"Huh? Oh, y-yeah! Of course!" Marinette laughed nervously. "Sorry..."
"It's alright," He smiled. "I...just wanted to tell you that I hope you find your clothes-" the model stopped himself mid-sentence when he looked down and saw her t-shirt, jeans, and gym shirt...they were all ripped apart. "I'm...guessing you didn't lose your clothes?"
"Wha-" She gasped when she realized her clothes were right there, plain to see.
"Marinette," his voice was firm, but not harsh. "Tell me what happened."
She was silent for a moment. It was like the words were caught in her throat, and they couldn't come out...refusing to come out.
"Did...did Chloe do this?" Her heart stopped at his words. How did he know? Then again, who else would rip someone's clothes up? Maybe Lila...
"Y-Yeah..." she sighed in defeat. "It was nothing, though. I-I can handle it!"
Adrien frowned, shaking his head at the very thought of the girl who was one of his closest friends doing that to Marinette. Marinette is one of the nicest girls I know. Why would anyone want to hurt her? He felt anger rise in his chest; something he'd hardly ever felt. He also felt a sudden need to protect the girl right in front of him. Sometimes he just wanted to take Chloe, and- he took a deep breath. Violence is never the answer, Adrien. Remember that. Never. Unless you're fighting an akuma.
A/n- lol, as you can tell, I had tons of fun writing that paragraph😂
"You know, you don't have to lie to me about this. We can always tell a teacher about what she's doing-"
"No, Adrien! Please...I-I don't want any adults finding out about this. It'll only make it bigger than it needs to be."
"Are you sure?"
She paused. Am I sure? "Yeah."
No.
"I-I've gotta get home. T-Thank you, Adrien," Marinette blushed.
"It was no problem."
"Um...I guess I'll give you your shirt back tomorrow?"
"Don't worry about it. Besides, you should probably keep it, just in case something like that happens again," he winked playfully.
Oh. Marinette opened her mouth to reply, but all that came out was a tiny squeak. I need to get home. And fast! "Byeseeyoutomorrow!" She quickly scurried to the front of the building.
Luckily, most students had gone home, so there were only a couple that gave her strange looks. But she no longer cared. In fact, she had completely forgotten about the whole "clothes" incident.
"Adrien let me have his shirt...Adrien let me have his shirt..." Marinette repeated over and over again to Tikki, pacing around her room. Luckily, her parents were out on an errand when she got home, so she didn't have to have a long talk about what was going on at school with them. "OH MY GOSH! This is the best day of my life! Well, minus the fact that Chloe ruined my clothes, but still! I can't believe he gave me his shirt!" She fell backwards on her bed, sighing dreamily. "He's so perfect..."
"Marinette," The kwami said. "I'm really glad your happy, but don't you have homework to do?"
"Oh, yeah, right!" The bluenette shot back up and opened her backpack. I can't wait to tell Alya!
**
The next day, Marinette dragged Alya into the bathroom during the lunch period to tell her about what happened with her and Adrien yesterday.
"So...wait. Chloe ruined your clothes and you got hot stuff's shirt in return? I'd say that's a job well done!" They both giggled, unaware that a certain blonde was in one of the stalls.
"I know! I should probably thank her," Marinette said. Pause.
"Nah!" They said in unison, laughing even more.
Inside the stall, Chloe gritted her teeth. Marinette Dupain-Cheng, you are going to With you were never born.
A/n- Things are getting intense...stay tuned. I'm going to be updating this book A LOT since I'm about to be on Winter break😉
