A/n- Guys, I actually hate making Chloe the mean one in this story because I've seen the last few episodes of S2 and just saw S3 episode 1, and Chloe is a saint compared to Lila. Lila is the meanest, the worst, and the most manipulative character on this show. Unfortunately, I do have to continue with Chloe being the bully, but she may get a redemption at the end of this story because I love her sm💕

On Monday, Marinette walked into school expecting the worst. However, when she entered the classroom, no one stared at her. No one laughed, no one whispered, and no one said a word about the incident on Friday. Thank goodness. Feeling relieved, she sat next to Alya with a smile on her face.
"Hey girl," her friend smiled.
"Hey, Alya. Thanks for helping me catch up over the weekend."
"Oh, it was no problemo. As long as we both ace the test this Thursday, we're good."
"Hey Marinette!" Nino turned around with a small wave. "Welcome back, dudette!" The bluenette replied with a small giggle.
"Thanks, Nino."
"Hey guys," Adrien walked in, sitting next to the DJ. Then his eyes adverted over to Marinette. "Are you feeling better?" Suddenly, the whole world seemed to stop, and time froze. No, it wasn't an akuma.
A hard nudge to the shoulder from Alya snapped her out of her daze. "Oh! Y-yeah..." What was the question? The ombré-haired girl just shook her head, a smile on her face.
"Yep, Marinette's back to her old self."
"Good morning, class!" Mme. Bustier came in, a bright smile on her face. "How was everyone's weekend?" As they began to talk, Alya leaned foward towards the boys.
"Hey, we should all get milkshakes after school today and study for Thursdays' algebra test."
"I'm in," Nino smiled. "What bout you, bro?"
"I'll have to ask my father. Otherwise, I'll definitely go!"
"Great!" The reported then turned to her fiend. "Mari?"
"Uh...w-what...just me, you, Nino, and A-Adrien?! No way! I can't do it!" She whisper-yelled. Marinette knee all too well that Alya and Nino would go off by themselves, leaving her and Adrien alone. And what an awkward mess that'll be.
"Oh, come on. It'll be fun! I mean, what else do you have to do?" Exhale.
"Fine. But no funny business, Alya."
"No funny business, got it."
"I mean it! My reputation in front of the love of my life is at stake here!"
"You're such a drama queen."
"No I'm not, I'm just careful."
"Whatever," she rolled her eyes. I have the most dorky best friend in the world.

"Wow, we must be on another planet," Nino chuckled as he and Adrien walked to the milkshake place down the street from their school.
"My dad can be pretty unpredictable sometimes," The model replied.
"Don't leave without us!" A feminine voice called from behind.
"I'd never, babe," the DJ grabbed his girlfriend's hand.
"You were about to, Nino," Marinette reminded teasingly. "I better keep a closer eye on you."
"Ha ha ha," he fake laughed, rolling his eyes. Then he turned to Alya. "I was gonna stop, but Adrien insisted that we kept going."
"Uh huh," the reporter said, a knowing smirk on her face. "You're lucky you're cute."
"He finds a way to bring me into everything," Adrien said, shaking his head.
"Huh?!" Marinette's eyes widened, noticing that the two of them were walking side by side behind their friends. "I mean...yeah." It was silent until they got to the door of the restaurant.
"So, uh..." Adrien looked away for a moment, scratching the back of his neck. "What's your favorite kind of milkshake?"
"Uh..." Marinette has to force her mouth to move again. "I-I like strawberry. Yeah, strawberry..." it wasn't until they sat down that she realized that she didn't even ask Adrien what his favorite was. In the heat of the moment, she opened her mouth to ask, then quickly closed it. What are you doing, Marinette?! He asked you that question minutes ago! It'll just be awkward if you ask now!
"Hello, my name is Samantha, and I'll be your server!" A tall blonde girl with brown eyes came up to the group of friends with a smile. "What would you all like today?"
"I'd like the banana," Nino said.
"I'll have chocolate raspberry," (I freaking love this flavor) Alya added.
"And can I get two strawberries?" Adrien asked. Marinette's eyes widened in shock. What?
"Alright! Anything else?" They all shook their heads. "I'll be right back with those orders!"
"So you like strawberry too?" The bluenette asked. The model shrugged.
"I don't know, I've never had a milkshake before. But since you like the strawberry, it has to be good." At that moment, Marinette's heart exploded. He's never had a milkshake? And he's ordering the same thing as me?! Ahhhh! She swore she could hear Tikki giggling in her purse.
"Dude...you've never had a milkshake before?" Nino raised an eyebrow.
"My dad never lets me eat things that are high in fat."
"Well then I'm glad you're here, dude. What'd you have to tell him to let you go?"
"I just told him I was studying at your house."
"Niceeee. I'm surprised that classic lie worked on him."
Marinette frowned at this. She thought it was ridiculous that Adrien had to lie just so he could go out with his friends. She'd give anything just so he could feel free.
"Gosh dang it!" Alya changed the subject. "Marinette and I forgot to stop by our house and get money!"
"Uh...actually-ow!" The bluenette sent a glare towards her friend when she kicked her in the shin.
'What are you doing?' She mouthed.
'Just wait,' the reporter mouthed back.
"I've got money, I can totally pay for all of you if you need to-"
"No!" Marinette said almost too quickly. "Y-you don't have to! I-"
"She has no other way to pay," Alya interrupted. "Unless Nino wants to pay for all of us..."
"How about Nino pays for you, and I pay for Marinette?" Adrien suggested.
"Perfect." The ombré-haired girl smiled. "Thank you boys!"
"Hey, I didn't say any-OW!" Nino was kicked in the shin as well.
"Just go along with it," Alya whispered through gritted teeth.
"Fine..." he sighed. "No problem, Alya. I'm happy to pay for you."
Once they got their milkshakes, the four friends laughed and talked about school, and witnessed Adrien's first time drinking a milkshake. Of course, he loved it, and was even tempted to ask for another when he was through, but that was too risky, considering he had patrol tonight. It would probably make him sick, especially when moving around in a tight suit.
It was nearing 17:00 (5:00), and Alya had dragged Nino out the door, saying she was in a "rush" to get home. Yeah, right.
"Uh...do you need me to walk you home?" Adrien asked once the pair stood up from their seats, still giving Alya and Nino a weird look from out the door.
"I-I'll be fine, but thank you," Marinette stuttered, a light shade of pink shading her cheeks.
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah," she nodded. "My house is only a few blocks down from here."
"Alright, well I'll see you at school tomorrow."
"Yeah, s-See ya at school!" She smiled awkwardly as he opened the door for her. "And, uh...thanks for paying for me. You really didn't have to do that-"
"It's fine, Marinette," he smiled. "You didn't have any money and I wasn't going to drink my first milkshake alone."
"I...guess so," she let out a nervous laugh. "See you at school tomorrow! Crap, I already said that!! Fortunately, her crush didn't seem to notice.
"You too!" He waved, beginning in the other direction. Ugh!! Why didn't I let him walk me home?!
Marinette walked down four different streets until she got to their bakery. It was one of the most belong walks she'd ever experienced. Going from talking to the love of your life to having no one to talk to was kind of sad. At least I sat beside him at the restaurant, she thought.
Marinette opened the door to the bakery. Her eyes were saucers when she saw Chloe talking to her parents, a box of chocolate truffles in her hands.
"Thank you so much, Chloe," her dad said, a big grin on his face as he was handed the food.
"I thought you guys would like them. And I'm so glad you're taking them. We have far too many of these up here.
"It's no problem," Sabine pat her on the shoulder. "Well tell Marinette once she gets back-oh, Marinette, sweetie!" Her mom spotted her coming into the kitchen. "Did you see what Chloe brought for us? We can have it for dessert tonight!"
"Um...no thanks, I already had a milkshake." The bluenette didn't even try to sound polite as she shot a glare at the blonde.
Feigning guilt, Chloe frowned. "Oh, sorry Marinette. But good news! They're good for another day!" The evil smile on her face was hard to miss as she walked past her arch enemy, purposely bumping her in the shoulder. "I'll see you all later! Have a good night!"
Marinette furrowed her eyebrows as the bakery door closed behind Chloe. What the? It's not normal for Chloe to act polite...
"Marinette," her mother said in a disappointed tone. "Do you think that's any way to treat your classmate who just gave us chocolate truffles?"
"But mom, it's Chloe! She probably poisoned them for all I know!"
"Anyone can change, darling."
"She purposely bumped into me on her way out!"
"Honey," her father started. "You're probably just imagining things. And even if she did, that's no excuse to act rude to her."
"Yes, take the higher road," her mother agreed.
Marinette took a deep breath. If you guys had to endure her five days a week for seven hours, you'd think differently. "Alright, I'm sorry you guys. I'm just really tired."
"How was your date?" Sabine asked.
"Mom!" Marinette yelled, her face immediately heating up. "It was not a date! Alya and Nino are the only ones dating."
"Sure," she winked.
"Ugh, I'm just gonna go upstairs and do some homework."
"Alright," she laughed. "We'll call you down when dinner's ready!"
As soon as Marinette shut the trapdoor, Tikki came flying out of her purse as if she was on a sugar rush. "Marinette! I'm so happy for you!"
"Why, Tikki? It's not like I kissed Adrien or anything."
"No, but you're getting there! It was practically a first date."
She groaned. "You too? It's already bad enough with my parents teasing me about it."
"I'm not teasing you, Marinette. I'm just so happy!" She flew up onto her bed. "Oh, and can you get me a couple of cookies before you go down to eat?"
