*Again, another extremely depressing song. I did have another one planned, but thanks to Bugginette_the_bean I've decided to use "She Used To Be Mine" by Sara Bareilles. Besides, it does suit this story very well♥️

*Guys...I was at work until 11:00 last night...11:00!! And I was supposed to get off at 10:00. And I have to go back tonight!! I really hope I'm not there that late again😩

Previously...

Marinette's hand shook like crazy as she opened the cap. No more pain. There will be no more pain. She slowly stepped into the bathtub and shakily laid down, staring at the ceiling for a while. Just do it, Marinette! Do you want to live though another day like this? Do you want to live like this for the rest of your life?!

She quickly poured a handful of pills onto her palm. You're worthless. No one will miss you. It's ok. There will be no more pain. No more...

Marinette put the pills in her mouth.

Now...

Tikki huffed when she finally finished making the ice cream cones for her and Marinette. Due to her small body, it was nearly impossible to pick up the ice cream scooper and scoop the ice cream out. But after about thirty minutes, she managed to do it. But the bad thing was...all the ice cream had melted. Oh no...When her parents get home, she's gonna be blamed for something I did! I need to fix this somehow! I'll get Marinette! She'll help me clean it up!

The Kwami flew back upstairs and through the trapdoor once again. She caught her breath while looking around. She saw that he bathroom light was on. Oh, she must be in that bathroom. She sat there for a moment and decided to sit on her little bed, when she spotted a small piece of paper. It read:

Tikki,
You were the best Kwami and friend ever! I'm so thankful for all the time we got to spend together, whether I was Marinette or Ladybug. Thank you for always trying to cheer me up. I'm sorry for any sadness I've caused you. I hope you can understand why I did this.

Love your best friend,
~Marinette

"Why she did what?" Tikki trembled. Oh no...oh no! "Marinette? Marinette?" The Kwami flew to the bathroom door, knocking a couple times. "Marinette? Are you in there?" Marinette!" When she got no answer, she flew through the door to see her owner and best friend, laying in the bathtub, a bottle of pills spilt out of her hand. That doesn't laugh out loud good.. "MARINETTE!" She screamed as loud as she could, but nothing worked.

Just then, she could hear the door open from downstairs. "Marinette, sweetie!" Her mom called. "We decided not to go out to eat, so we're home early!"

Oh no...what should I do? What should I do?!!!! Tikki couldn't do anything herself, so she took a risk and decided to show herself to her parents. "Marinette's mom and dad!!!" She said urgently as she got zoomed into the bakery.

"Ahhh! Sabine, What is that?!" Tom shouted in fear.

Before any of them could say anything, Tikki spoke. "There's no time to explain! Marinette's in the bathroom! She's unconscious!!!!"

"What?!" Sabine said.

"Follow me!" Tikki went back upstairs. Her parents wasted no time following the strange creature. Once they were all upstairs, Tikki flew through the door and quickly unlocked it with her small nubs.

Tom and Sabine rushed in and gasped when they saw their daughter laying the bathtub. "MARINETTE!!!!" Sabine cried out. "Oh my gosh..." she said when she saw the bottle of prescription drugs beside her. "Tom, call an ambulance!!!!!"

"I'm on it!" Tom pulled out his cellphone and dialed 9-1-1.

"9-1-1, what's your emergency?"

"Uh, my daughter just took a bunch of prescription pills..." he went into Marinette's room to talk to them, pacing around.

"Oh no, Marinette...my baby..." she gently pushed on her wrist to check her pulse. She still had one.

"Tom! Tom, we still have her, she's still there! Come here!!"

Marinette's father, who has just gotten off the phone, rushed into the bathroom. "She's still here?!!!"

"Yes!" Sabine nodded, crying. "Yes, we still have her!!!!"

"Oh, thank the heavens!" He said, crying as well and holding his wife. They quickly hoisted their daughter downstairs, and when the ambulance came, they immediately put her on a stretcher and moved as quickly as possible through the bakery and out the doors.

"Make way, make way!" They yelled at citizens along the sidewalks. Sabine rode in the back of the ambulance with her daughter while Tom drove the car to the hospital. They put an oxygen mask over Marinette for the ride there to keep her pulse going.

Tikki has snuck into the car with her dad, and chose not to say a word until they were calmed down. He seemed to be driving like a maniac, turning sharp corners like crazy, and the Kwami was being tossed around like a toy. But that was ok, as long as Marinette was ok.

**

All Marinette could remember was feeling moments after taking the pills. She thought she heard Tikki screaming her name over and over again, but she didn't have the mind or strength to answer. Then she remembered hearing ambulance sirens and she felt herself being hoisted up onto something.

"We've got her..."

"...have to get the substance out of her system...."

"She'll make it..."

She was unconscious again.

**

"H-how could his have happened, Tom? How?!" Sabine cried, holding onto her husband as they sat in the hallway right next to the room their daughter was in.

"I-I don't know..." the baker pinched the bridge of his nose. "I don't know."

"A-And what was that...that thing that told us about Marinette?" Tikki peaked out of her dad's pocket, making sure it was safe to come out. When she saw that there was nobody else around, she flew out.

"You were asking about me?"

"Ahh!" Tom screamed again.

"Shhh..." Tikki whispered. "It's ok. I'm not going to hurt you."

"It looks like a...

"Bug," Sabine said.

"Mouse?" Said Tom.

"BugMouse!" They said at the same time.

"That's what your daughter said when she met me too," Tikki giggled.

"...What?"

"Well, it's kind of a long story..."

**

"So..." Tom said whenever Tikki had completed the whole story. "Let me get this straight: you're something called a Kwami, and you help our daughter transform info Paris's greatest superhero?!"

"Uh...yeah, basically."

"Whoa! That's...so cool! Right, honey?" He looked at his wife.

Sabine smiled. "I guess...but that doesn't explain why this happened."

"I was just getting to it," Tikki said with a smile. "Anyways, Marinette was being bullied by this girl named Chloe at her school, which, I'm guessing you probably already know. And other people started getting in on it to. They were posting terrible stuff about her on the internet and saying and doing terrible things to her."

"Like...like what?" Her mother said, completely shocked.

"Well...when you guys called the ambulance, I found a letter she wrote under her pillow. I snuck it in your purse." Sabine raised an eyebrow before looking in her purse. Inside was a folded up letter. She read:

Dear mom & dad,
I know you're probably really angry or sad, but I just couldn't take it anymore. Everyday, people made fun of me at school and on the Internet. I lost all my friends, and everybody just hates me, including me. I've realized how big of a problem I am to you and to everyone else. I am so sorry for any pain I've caused you two. But then again, they said no one would miss me, so who knows if you will?

I love you both,
~Marinette

"Oh my goodness..." her mother covered her mouth with her hand as she began crying, her father doing the same.

"Ehh would they want to hurt our Marinette like this?" He said. "If I would've known..."

"It's...not your fault, guys," Tikki frowned. "I knew...this whole time. And I didn't say anything to you-"

"But didn't you say that Kwami's were supposed to be a secret?" Sabine pointed out.

"Yes, but still...I'm so sorry. I'm supposed to be her guardian. I'm supposed to make sure she doesn't do anything she would regret-"

"Tikki," Tom said. "You help my daughter fight crime, and you've been her friend when she had no one."

"We are beyond grateful," Sabine added with a warm smile.

**

Every hour, the nurse gave them updates on how their daughter was doing. It wasn't until midnight when they told them she would be fine. She just needed plenty of rest and she needed to stay home from school until she was fully healed physically and mentally.

Understanding, Tom and Sabine entered the room she was sleeping in. "She looks so peaceful," Her mother whispered, a tear rolling down her cheek. "Oh my gosh...it makes me so angry! I-I just wish i would've known!"

"Sabine," her husband reassured, wrapping an arm around her and kissing the top of her head. "This is not your fault. Don't ever feel like this was your fault." She bend down and kissed her daughter on the forehead.

"Marinette, we love you so much..." she whispered, her heart breaking at the very thought of her daughter feeling like nobody loved her.

Tikki slowly floated out of Sabine's purse and looked at her friend. Then the realization hit. I could've actually lost her. In all her years, Tikki had never lost an owner due to suicide. And she didn't want to ever witness that. And she almost did with one of the best ladybugs she had ever known. But Marinette was still here. She was still breathing. In and out. Still breathing. A fighter. She was alive.
