A/n- Heads up, this story is going to get VERY dark soon (more than it already is), so I will not be posting any any memes or side commenting jokes in the next few chapters.

Marinette decided not to skip anymore school. It wasn't doing her any good to stay home. Besides, she didn't feel any happier in her bed. In fact, she didn't feel happy anywhere anymore. It had only been one week...one week of death glares from random students in the hall. One week of Alya and Nino ignoring her or looking at her as if she was the worst person in the world. And one week of sitting in the back of the classroom, away from everyone. It's not like anyone acted like they wanted to be near her anyways.

Adrien had tried to talk to her, but she only walked away or told him that she didn't wanna hear it. After all, there was no point in talking if everyone just got mad at anything you said.

And to top all of that, Chloe was constantly saying bad things about Marinette when she knew she could hear her. Some people would agree, and some would just shrug. But no one stood up for her. I was right about myself. I'm not worth it. I'm nothing. I will never mean anything to anybody.

Marinette didn't sleep at night anymore, and if she did, she cried herself to sleep. No matter how hard she tried, she couldn't stop thinking about what people had said to her. "You're such a whore!" "Really? Who would wanna date you?" "Oh, look, everybody, it's Maritrash! The girl who kissed Ayla's boyfriend!"

It was a Friday, and Mme. Bustier was in the middle of one of her lessons, when Marinette basically fell asleep and landed on the floor. The class giggled, but she wasn't having it. "Silent, please." She said gently. "Will someone go and wake her up?"

"I'll do it!" Adrien said almost too quickly, getting out of his desk and walking to the back. He bent down. "Hey Mari," he whispered, gently shaking her shoulder.

"Hmm?" She groaned, slowly opening her eyes.

"You feel asleep," he smiled.

"H-Huh?" She looked around, confused, and saw the laughing faces of her classmates. Then looked towards Adrien, who was looking at her warmly. She sighed, getting herself up, and didn't say another word.

Aged the bell rang, Marinette grabbed her things and was walking out, when Mme. Bustier stopped her.

"Marinette," she began. "Can I speak with you for a moment?" Great, was the bluenette's first thought. Now I'm in trouble. The teacher came out from behind her desk and stood in front of her student. "What's going on?"

"Uh...what do you mean?" She pretended not to have a clue.

"Marinette," she repeated again, looking her in the eyes. "You've been sitting in the back all week."

"Well, I just...sitting in the back helps me focus better," she faked a smile. "That way I can't talk to Alya and get distracted."

Not looking entirely convinced, Mme. Bustier simply nodded. "Alright. Will you be ok?"

Marinette nodded, putting on her best happy façade. "Yeah, of course! Have a good afternoon!"

"You too," she smiled. When she was out of the classroom, Mme. Bustier sighed. Should I notify her parents about this? Well, her grades haven't dropped, so I guess she is really sitting back there so she can focus.

By now, Marinette had been used to lying. She wasn't doing it to hurt anyone of course. It was for their own good. Or...at least that's how she saw it. Tikki, on the other hand, felt her heart break more and more each time she heard her owner lie. This was not her. Sometimes the Kwami wondered if an akuma had overtaken her and stayed there permanently.

When it was lunchtime, Marinette went to sit in the spot she had been sitting at for the past few days: in the bathroom. Since all the tables were taken up and nobody wanted to sit by her, she had no other choice. She sat on the closed toilet seat and unwrapped the veggie sandwich her mother had packed for her that morning.

The bathroom doors opened and two girls came walking in, talking about something. "Well, yeah," one said. "Of course she would. Doesn't surprise me."

"I'm so glad we're not in the same class as her," the other said. "She'd probably spread it to everyone."

Marinette raised an eyebrow. What are they talking about?

"It's so weird. Just a couple months ago, I would've never guessed that Maritrash slept with every guy she met." The bluenette felt her stomach drop. It's me. Of course it's me.

"I now, right? I actually thought she was a good person, and now she has syphilis." They both laughed. "Well, see ya later."

"You too!" They left.

"Tikki..." her voice shook. "I'm not hungry anymore." She took her food, walked out of the stall, and threw it away.

"Marinette," The Kwami sat on her shoulder and nuzzled up to her cheek. "It's going to be ok." Is like to know when. The bluenette thought. Or will it be like this forever?

I_hate_marinette_dupain_cheng was Chloe's other account dedicated to tormenting her. And Lila was her number 1 follower. She would constantly comment on posts and "memes" about her. Except Lila's comments were "against" Chloe. The direct messages were still the same though.

L: Hey Maritrash, your life sucks pretty bad right now. You might as well just kill yourself.

And that was when she spread that "saying" to everybody in their grade. They had even started a group chat they named "KYS Maritrash." She knew Lila was part of it under a different name. Chloe, Sabrina, and a lot of other people in the other classes were. If they weren't apart of the "group chat," they were either ignoring her like Alya and Nino, or participating on Chloe's Twitter page.

"Oh, look, Tikki," The bluenette said sarcastically when she went on Twitter one night. "It's another meme of me! It says: If I were trash, I'd want to die too. And look! There's a picture of my head on a trash can! Isn't that just hilarious?!"

The Kwami only shook her head, frowning. I need to see Master Fu again.

**

"And she's starting to sound crazy," the Kawami explained to the ancient man.

"Alright," he began, rubbing his chin with his hand in thought. "Do her parents know about this?"

"No, master," Tikki shook her head. "I've tried to tell her to talk to an adult, but she won't listen."

"I see," he nodded, face slowly falling.

"She won't listen to anyone, not even Adrien, and she loves Adrien."

"But does she believe he loves her?"

"...No."

"Has she ever?" Tikki shook her head no. "Then that is one of her biggest problems. Her self-esteem was already low enough, but when the bullying started, it only got worse. She needs someone to give her confidence. She needs someone to compliment her, because from what I've heard, that hasn't happened for quite a while." The Kwami opened her mouth, but Master Fu continued. "And telling her that it's going to be ok isn't enough, because she doesn't believe it will be anymore."

"Is there anything else I can do, master?"

"There is nothing more you can do then just build her up. No matter what she says, keep trying to cheer her up. That's the only thing you can do. If she wants to believe it, well...I hate to say this, but that's entirely up to her."

"So...what if she doesn't believe it?"

"Then..." he paused, shaking his head, as if he was trying to get a certain thought out. "She'll be fine," he reassured himself. "Just remember: build her up."

"Ok," Tikki nodded urgently. But why did she still feel uneasy?

**

"Cookie?" Tikki offered.

"No thanks."

The Kwami sighed. This is going to be a lot harder than I thought. "Hey Marinette," she said. "I bet this yellow dress would look so pretty on you! You should definitely wear it next week at school!" That didn't seem to help either.

The bluenette sighed. "You don't have to feel sorry for me, Tikki. It's ok. I'll be ok."

Well you aren't acting like it! She wanted to say, but instead took a deep breath and said, "Alright. But will you please wear this dress on Monday? I bet Adrien will notice you!"

Marinette looked at the dress for a moment in thought. "Fine. But it's only because you want me to." And Tikki swore she could already hear a little bit of Marinette in there.

"Good. You'll look beautiful! I can even do your makeup and hair!" Marinette giggled a bit.

"Alright, Tikki."
