*Lol, you guys are probably wondering why I'm updating this story so quickly. It's because I have millions of ideas running through my head, and they don't stop until I get them down. I'm a maniac when it comes to writing. Plus, I write two chapters ahead every time😉

Marinette kept her head down, expecting someone to say something to her along the lines of "You're a slut," or "Hows the baby," or at least a laugh. She sighed in relief as she opened her locker. Well, I made it this far.
It had been three days since she had been to school, and things had seemed to calm down on Twitter. No one was talking about her anymore or posting anything about her. When the bluenette shut her locker and turned around, she ran right into Nino.
"Marinette!"he smiled. "It's been forever, dudette!"
"I know," she smiled back. "I missed you guys."
Meanwhile, Chloe and Sabrina walked into the locker room. The blonde gasped. "She's...back? Ugh, I thought it would take her way longer to get over what I posted. Why is she so...positive?"
"I don't know," Sabrina said. "Maybe because she's faking her sadness just to get attention?" Sabrina new deep down that it was a lie. She just needed something new to wear.
Chloe smirked. "Sabrina, I never thought I'd ever be saying this, but...that's really good. I could definitely use that against her." She squinted her eyes, looking for anything she could embarrass Marinette with. When she noticed Nino right beside her, a huge, malicious smile crept up onto her lips. Why not kill three birds with one stone? "Sabrina," she snapped, not taking her eyes off of the pair of friends. "I want you to go over there and push Marinette into Nino."
Realizing what she was trying to do, the redhead gasped. "But-"
"Now!" She shoved Sabrina towards them. Oh my gosh, am I really about to do this? The sidekick worried. With each step, she became more and more nervous, her legs wobbling and hands shaking. Just do it, Sabrina! She scolded herself. Don't be a wimp!
Chloe got her phone out and went to her camera. Come on, Sabrina! What's taking you so long?! What seemed like an eternity passed by, and the blonde was running out of patience. She was about to just walk over there and do it herself.
Sabrina, trying to make it seem like as much of an accident as possible, pretended to trip, pushing into Marinette, who landed right into Nino, there lips touching. Finally! Chloe smiled evilly, quickly taking a picture before they realized what was going on. She then turned around, pretending to be talking to someone else.
Marinette's eyes shot wide open. Oh gross! She immediately got off of her friend, who was just as baffled as she was. "Nino, I-I'm so sorry! I-It was an accident!" Her face turned red from embarrassment.
"Um...it didn't look like an accident to me," Sabrina added, earning a proud smile from Chloe. Marinette turned to see the mean girl's sidekick. "I saw it with my own two eyes. And no, Chloe is not behind this before you ask. I'm just warning you, Nino. I saw her pretend to trip just so she'd 'accidentally' kiss you."
"What?!" Marinette said. "That is ridiculous, Sabrina! I'd never do that to Alya. Besides, I'm not into Nino-"
"But wait," she interrupted. "I heard the other day that Alya and you were in a fight. And," she turned to Nino. "I also heard her talking to herself about wanting to get back at your girlfriend in the locker room."
Nino thought for a minute. Alya and Marinette did have a pretty bad fight, and she did make her upset. "Is...that true, Marinette?"
"No, it's not-"
"Yeah, it is!" Sabrina said, putting on a fake angry face. "Marinette Dupain-Cheng, I can't let you lie anymore! You're...you're so fake! You act like you've never done anything wrong in your life, when you go around taking people's boyfriends, sleep with a bunch of guys, and...and you always play the victim!" The whole room went silent.
"So, it's true, huh?" Nino said, looking upset.
"W-what?" Marinette could already feel the tears coming. "Nino, she's lying-"
"Sabrina?" He laughed sarcastically. "As if! She hardly ever speaks up, and when she does, it's always something meaningful! She'd never lie like Chloe. And yeah, she's her sidekick, but she isn't her."
"So..." she tried to control her breathing as the first few teardrops fell from her eyes. "So you think I'm lying? Nino, I'm your friend!"
"Yeah, but Alya's my girlfriend. And I know you two got into a fight. So uncool, Marinette." He shook his head, walking away. "Heck, she even felt bad for what she said to you! I can't believe I ever had a crush on you!"
Marinette looked at the other people in the locker room for any kind of support, but they all stared at her with indifference. Then they all awkwardly left the room. Even Rose, one of the nicest girls in her class, followed everyone else.
She didn't wanna step foot outside that locker room, so she just leaned against the locker and sunk down, biting her tongue hard. Don't cry, she told herself. It'll only make things worse. Don't cry, don't cry-she didn't cry. She sobbed, curling herself into a ball. Tikki immediately flew out and hugged her shoulder in attempt to comfort her.
She stayed in that position until the bell rang, and she had no tears left to cry. A/n- no, this is not an Ariana Grande reference.
"Marinette, you need to eat," her Kwami said.
"I'm not hungry," she replied blandly.
"But you have patrol tonight and you need your energy-"
"I said I'm not hungry, Tikki! And I am not going on patrol!" She snapped in a voice in which she had never used before, taking the tiny Ladybug aback. She decided it was best not to talk to her for the moment being.
Just then, someone entered the locker room. The bluenette quickly put her head down again. "Wow, how pathetic." Why? Out of everyone, Just why? Marinette didn't even bother to lift her head to acknowledge Chloe's presence. "I knew you were a slut, but seriously? Stooping that low? That's just...terrible. I mean, if I were you, I'd just kill myself. But that would be too easy, right? Because you're Marinette? You never give up? Or was I wrong?"
The bluenette didn't respond, trying her best to block her enemy's words out. But they sunk in. They sunk in deeper than any words that were said to her have before. And they cut like a knife, slowly ripping her heart into pieces.
"Not talking?" She said. "Alright. Good luck dealing with Alya!" She laughed mockingly as she left the room.
**
"SHE. DID. WHAT." Alya gritted her teeth after hearing Nino tell her about what had happened that morning. "Is hat seriously how she gets back at me?! And I thought Chloe was the worst person in this school! But Marinette?! My own friend! Well, not anymore!"
"I know, I couldn't believe she did that either," Nino frowned. "She even tried lying too, but when Sabrina says something, you know she's telling the truth."
"Hey," Adrien day down next to them. "What's up?"
"You haven't heard?"
"...No?"
"This morning, Marinette kissed me to get revenge on Alya and tried making it look like an accident. Sabrina totally exposed her!"
Adrien raised an eyebrow, more baffled than he's ever been in his life. "Wait...you said Sabrina exposed her?"
"Yeah," he nodded.
"But...isn't Sabrina Chloe's sidekick? What if they had something to do with it?"
"Oh, but Sabrina said Chloe had nothing to with it. Besides, Chloe was on the other side of the room talking to someone when it happened."
"Hmm...Adrien furrowed his eyebrows in thought. "Are you sure? Cause they come up with some pretty messed up plans sometimes."
"What are saying, dude? You believe Marinette?"
"And you don't? Come on, guys. Marinette would never do that to you, Alya. You guys have been fiends for over a year now."
"But why would Sabrina lie? Chloe I get, but why her sidekick?"
"Because maybe Chloe persuaded her to? Come on, it's so obvious!"
"Have you been in my situation, Adrien?" Alya snapped. "Have you heard the fight we got into? I don't think so."
"What did you say to her that could be so bad that she's want revenge by kissing Nino?" The model asked.
The ombré haired girls scoffed. "Seriously? Why are you sticking up for her? She hasn't done anything to help herself when it came to Chloe bullying her."
"I said, what did you say to her, Alya?" His voice harsher this time.
"I..." She paused. "I said that it was her fault that she was getting upset about Chloe because she wouldn't listen to me! I told her to get off the internet and to stop calling Chloe names back! But no, she kept doing it, and that what she gets!"
Adrien sat there for a moment, his mouth hanging slightly open in utter disbelief. "What is wrong with you two? Marinette has already been through enough shit and you guys just make it worse!" He stood up angrily. "Where is she?"
"Adrien, bro, why are you so-"
"WHERE IS SHE, NINO?!"
Pause.
"...In the locker room," he whispered. "That was where I last saw her." Without another word, The model turned.
"Oh," he turned back around. "By the way, I'm not speaking to you guys again." The couples eyes widened.
"What? Adrien!" Nino yelled, but he didn't listen.
"Marinette?!" Adrien opened the door, frantically looking around. But his friend was nowhere to be found. Where is she? He growled in annoyance. Did Nino lie to me?! Ugh! Maybe I'll just call her.
**
Marinette decided to go home. She was tired. Physically, mentally, and emotionally tired. Maybe she would wake up and this would all be one big nightmare. Maybe the next day, she'd be back in school and she'd have her friends back. Maybe.
The bluenette buried herself under the covers. Tikki didn't say a word, but never left her owner's side. She thought about what Master Fu said the other day. "I'm afraid that...Marinette is used to her negative emotions now." The Kwami struggled and struggled to understand the deeper meaning of it. It was hard for tiny genies like them to understand why humans felt certain emotions and why they didn't want to be happy. Or at least seemed like they didn't want to be.
Another hour passed, and when Tikki was sure that Marinette was asleep, she spoke. "I just want it to be over, Tikki." The Kwami blinked. She could almost feel her emotions. The way she said that...it didn't sound like Marinette. This is not Marinette. Her phone buzzed. Since she didn't seem interested in picking it up, Tikki flipped it over and saw that it was Adrien. "Adrien's calling you," she said quietly, afraid to upset her any further.
"Ok," was all she said. She just laid there until the call ended. A few minutes later, she got a text. Did she want to look at it? No. He probably took Alya and Nino's side too.
Marinette slept for the rest of the day, and when her parents arrived home and found her in bed, she simply told them that school was let out early. As much as she hated lying to her parents, she felt that she had to. If she told them everything, it would somehow backfire on her. Everything she says seems to be wrong to everybody else. Why do they hate me so much?
**
Adrien sighed in defeat after trying to call Marinette three times and then trying to text her. "Plagg, I'm so worried..." his voice shook like never before.
"Then go see her, kid," The Kwami said.
"I can't. I have to go to a photo shoot any minute now, and then I have to go on patrol tonight." He scowled, remembering that he was also busy this weekend with another patrol by himself on Saturday, and he had to go eat dinner with a bunch of fashion designers on Sunday. He would just have to wait until next week.
When Adrien was finished with the photo shoot, he ate dinner, alone as usual, and then transformed for patrol. At least get to see my lady. He thought.
But when he arrived at Notre Dame, she wasn't there. And he waited. He waited for five minutes, ten minutes, fifteen minutes, and then almost an hour. Were we supposed to meet somewhere else tonight? No, she would've called me by now! He checked his baton phone. There were no messages. Then he began to worry. What is something happened to her?! Oh my gosh, I'd never be able to live with myself!
This on my reminded him of Marinette. I still have an hour left. I'll go check on her now! Chat Noir quickly moved across the rooftops with his baton, and eventually made it to the bakery. She slowly landed himself of her balcony and peaked in the room. She was asleep. He smiled at how peaceful she looked. He didn't want to wake her up, so he turned away, taking one last look at her, before leaving.
Adrien felt a pain in his heart that he'd never felt before. He found himself worrying more about Marinette than Ladybug. I love Ladybug, though. Not Marinette. Marinette is my best friend. My very beautiful, kind, smart, and amazing best friend...who am I kidding? I'm just as in love with her as I am with Ladybug. And...maybe more.
