CHARACTER ARC: Sarab Zaman discovered that she was a mutant when she was a pre-teen. Her father is an engineer for Stark Industries, so, one day, she was invited to the lab and her gene was awakened by an ancient artifact. She discovered her powers later when she was being bullied, but she was in a Halloween costume when it happened. Later, she was targeted by Hydra for her powers and came under the tutelage of  her favorite superhero, Zoth K'lar also known as Manifest, a friend of her father's and someone who had saved her years ago when she was a little girl.
  Around the same time, her friend Kamala Khan introduced her to a young man named Kareem. Sarab and Kareem became friends and eventually developed feelings for each other. They also met each other in their hero disguises. They had a falling out when she discovered that he had been training her brother to be a Red Dagger behind her back, but they made up when he helped her save her brother from Hydra and realized that it was Haydar who wanted to keep his training a secret.
  Sarab eventually told her parents about her powers and they supported her being a superhero. When Kamala Khan invited Sarab to join the Young Avengers, Sarab was reluctant to accept, but she eventually did.
