19. Its been a fucking pleasure...
Bugs Stilinski was quite honestly on board to commit mass murder at this point. Despite the fact everything sane inside him screeched that death wasn't the answer, murder was not the way to go... he was willing to do it all for those he considered family.
And that included Scott McCall and Kira Yukimura.
If it was to be, he would rip Kate Argents heart out in front of his own father if it meant everyone he loved would live to see another day.
The boy was quite determined to see that thought through as he was one of the first to sing up for rescue mission in Mexico. He didn't care of any complications or if he would manage to make it alive, he'll if he would further be pitted into the darkness consuming him because all that mattered was his family.
He remembered Chris Argents words the day in the warehouse, reminding himself that sometimes you had to be the worst person ever to be a hero they all needed. The green eyed boy cared little if he was painted as the villain afterwards because the only real hero, the one that was heard in fairy tales and comic books... well he was the one currently being dangled over death.
So maybe after all this Bugs Stilinski would turn into the villain of the story and his life would fall into crumbles but it mattered little to him. Villain or not he was going to save someone... and he wouldn't go down without doing it.

"Dad, Scott and Kira have been kidnapped and taken to Mexico." Those words were uttered by a flustered Stiles Stiliski as he and his twin brother stood in their fathers law enforcement office. Both boys attempting to reason with their father as to why it was best they left as soon as possible.
Bugs nodded his head, shrugging his shoulders at his father in an obvious manner, "Okay? I think that's a pretty good reason for a trip to Mexico."
However Sheriff was far from convinced as he looked into both his sons eyes who were about as defenseless as they came and only saw certain death. His twins didn't hold any special powers, they were only two very naive teenager boys... well at the very least that's how he saw them. So he shook his head sternly and adamantly disagreed. "Okay. Even if Deaton is right about this... Yeah. The best thing to do is to go through the proper channels."
"Dad..." Both teenagers groaned at their father, exasperated with the response they received. If they had gained any knowledge as to the supernatural is that the government was useless because they couldn't begin to comprehend the complexity of the situation.
Sheriff however droned on with a list. "That means calling the right law enforcement agencies, border patrol, putting out an all-points."
"Dad listen, that sounds great and all but we can't just wait around for the wheels of bureaucracy to start spinning in five different government offices. Okay? Someone needs to go down there right now, find them and rescue them. We're going." Bugs finally cut his father lists of reason off with a grumble. Clearly done and over with the conversation however he did owe his father at least an explanation, both of them did.
"I can keep you from going." Sheriff pointed out with a wag of his finger.
Bugs smirked in response to that while his brother shrugged his shoulder casually, "we'd find a way."
"I can throw you in a cell." Sheriff countered once more at his sons nonchalant responses.
Because scoffed, "okay one I would like to see your officers of the law try to take me down and two we'd still find a way."
Sheriff sighed as clearly his threats would not be working easily, "please. Just give me a little more time to verify something slightly more concrete than a psychic vision by some guy with a third eye! Look, I will call every law enforcement agency all the way down to South America if I have to. If nothing turns up, then I'll book three flights to Mexico. We'll all go. Okay?"
Bugs sighed in resignation, knowing it was better he let his father think he won this battle. It had already been decided between him and Stiles, whichever way the conversation would go they would still be leaving in the night.
Both boys shared eye contact, knowing they would just give up then. Stiles decided to end the conversation in his usual way. "Okay, okay, great. Do I get a gun?"
"No." Sheriff retorted whirl Bugs scoffed.
The green eyed boy looked at his brother with an eye roll, "listen dumbass if I don't get one there's no way in hell you'll ever touch one."
Stiles mumbled under his breath to his brother in protest, earning an eye roll for Bugs who dared him to say it louder.
The sheriff sighed at both his sons, walking out of the door to look up anything that could possibly help him keep his sons in Beacon Hills where they were safer then some abandoned church in Mexico.
Bugs watched his fathers retreating figure, eyes serious as he realized they were going to lie to the man who had cared for them the entirety of their lives. After everything he had done and all the secrets he had kept hidden, for some reason this one felt like the worst of them all. He detested lying to his father but somehow had been able to do it smoothly the last couple of months. However this time felt different, he didn't want to do it.
"We have to talk..." Stiles spoke up, looking at his brother in the eyes the moment their father was out of earshot.
Said green eyed boy was startled at his brother words, looking over wth creased brows.
"What?" Bugs shot back, confused at his brothers words.
"You and I have some things to discuss..."
₩₩₩₩
Stiles wouldn't talk to Bugs until they were home. He claimed there were too many ears, one too many people to hear his words. His serious tone scared the shit out of Bugs... because there was only one thing that was being kept hidden between the twins.
The boy tapped impatiently against the wheel of his car, smacking his palms against the leather cover as he attempted to gain the courage to go inside. His brother had arrived at the exact same time although the golden eyed boy had gone inside five minutes ago, a blank look given to his brother just before he had walked into their home.
Bugs was sweating, the drips of water rolling down his forehead the further he stayed inside his old vehicle and he assumed it was from the rising hear and not the massive anxiety he was gaining the longer he stayed outside. The boy wasn't sure if he was ready to hear what his brother was ready to say but there was no longer time for excuse... it was now or never.
He huffed, gulping before jumping out of the car in one swift movement and heading up the stairs to his home. Now more then ever did he dread walking inside the once comforting place. Now it seemed like how own personal courtroom... one where the judge, jury, and executioner was his own brother.
Stiles Stilinski was pacing his family living room, running his long digits through his now elongated hair. His brother came into the room then, both awkwardly glancing at one another as Bugs shut the door and the quiet darkness enveloped them. Stiles would be lying if he didn't say it was foreign, things were never awkward between the twins considering they themselves embodied the awkward gene. In fact, with one another things were nothing but smooth... well until now. They stared at one another for a moment longer, Stiles dropping his hands to his sides.
"I know." Stiles finally spoke to his brother, Bugs not even flinching as he knew this was what they were going to talk about. It was only a matter of days before either Stiles found out or he told him. Truth be told he preferred the former... he didn't honestly know if he was going to be able to say the words aloud. Stiles went on, slowly pacing. "They came to me like nightmares... image after image of being with you in the warehouse. I thought they were just after affects of the nogitsune, maybe something he had cursed me with for forcing him out. They were so vivid, I could actually feel the blood splattering against my cheek. I wanted nothing more then for them to be a dream... honestly I did. I couldn't imagine you actually doing it, I didn't want to believe that I forced my brother into doing such terrible things. And for a long time that's what I told myself... but then I started noticing signs. Like how you wouldn't look me in the eye or you were pushing me away. And then the secrets started with you, Deaton, and Lydia... and I knew. I knew that's what it had to be because there was no way I could dream such horrible things. I could see it in your eyes Bugs... I can still see it in your eyes the way you can't even look at me directly. You wouldn't tell me and all I wanted was for you to just say... just say it and it could be out in open for both of us to deal with. After all that... I was still fooling myself into believing it wasn't real though, I was being stubborn, that is until Scott told me what happened in the warehouse. He told me about the way you came out of there, like you weren't feeling a thing even with all that blood on your body. Scott said it looked easy to you, almost professional and then you just telling me you were an assassin on the deadpool confirmed it. I tried asking Malia about it... I asked her what she knew but she wouldn't tell me. Malia doesn't lie and she just said to ask you... to wait for you to tell me but goddammit I can't keep waiting. I couldn't hold it in any longer."
Stiles was breathless by the time he ended his speech, eyes glistening slightly when he had finished. His brother mirroring his actions as he too was ready to let tears drop.
Bugs felt his mouth move, silent words escaping him as he looked for the right way to speak. Finally it came to him, "Stiles... I don't know what to say. I only don't know how I was going to ever tell you... I wanted you to know, believe me but it wasn't easy. How do you tell someone that you're a sociopathic murderer? I didn't think you'd even want anything to do with me afterwards and I never wanted you to find out. In fact, I felt relieved when you couldn't remember a thing. I know you're probably pissed over it and I know you might not want a thing to do with me and that's fine I just want you to know that anything I've ever done, I did it for you. I wasn't going to let it kill you and I wasn't going to let you suffer alone... we've done things together since birth and that's how it will always be. You're my best friend man... I wasn't going to let it have you. I'm sorry I didn't tell you and I'm sorry we are even having this discussion but you're my best friend and I would do it all over again if it meant you would be alive."
"Who said anything about me not wanting anything to do with you?" Stiles retorted, stepping closer. "I'm mad that you didn't tell me not that you did it. You're my brother and if you were suffering with this I had every right to know. What you did doesn't make you a bad person... despite popular opinion everyone else can go fuck themselves because I know you did it to save me and I... I won't ever be able to repay you for that."
Bugs didn't anything else said, hugging his brother tightly as for the first time he felt actual relief once hugging his brother. It was like the clearing had passed between their two roads, the tether once more being tightly wound as they embraced one another and both exhaled. They were not only brothers once more.... but best friends again. A sort of bond that went beyond blood relation.
The front door creaked open, in stepping the light haired brunette they had welcomed into their family. Malia Tate observed the scene, clearly she had heard everything they had occurred and waited for the appropriate moment to step in. She looked blankly at both brothers, her eyes trained on her boyfriend when speaking. "Everything okay?"
Malia's words echoed in his head, reminding just how protective the girl was and knowing that all she wanted was the nod that everything was fine. Bugs smiled at her, leaving one arm around his brother as he extended the other towards her, "yeah, everything is fine. Come here."
Malia walked over towards the duo, Bugs pulling her into a hug as Stiles wrapped his own arm around the girl and Malia herself tightly wound her arms against their backs. Bugs being the tallest rested his head upon his girlfriend and sighed, "I love you both and I never want either of you to forget it."
₩₩₩₩
"Here, try that." Stiles tossed Malia yet another shirt of Scott's. Both twins and the werecoyote shuffling around the room to find anything with the true Alpha's scent still attached to it.
Malia inhaled, pressing the fabric to her nose before sighing in defeat, "Fabric softener."
Bugs groaned in annoyance, further digging into his best friends closet for anything of use. HE grumbled under his breath at his best friends tidy room, seriously if there was ever a need for a messy teenager it would be now. He gave up after a moment, going back to his girlfriend and watching as his brother disappeared into the bathroom before coming out with a pair of dirty boxers. Clearly Malia was against even taking a whiff of it as her nose crinkled up and she took a hesitant step back. Stiles sighed, "remember, Scott's life is on the line."
"You sniff it first then," Bugs scoffed, hitting his brothers arm so the dirty clothes would get out of his face.
"I don't need to sniff it, she does." Stiles retorted, rolling his eyes at his brother antics.
"You're not making her sniff a pair of dirty boxers, that's unsanitary and should fall under cruel and unusual torture," Bugs countered, narrowing his eyes at his brother.
"Oh would you grow the fuck-"
"Guys!" Malia cut both of their bickering off as she came back with a pillowcase.
"Yeah. That works, too." Both brothers nodded their heads in approval and began clamoring down the stairs.
Stiles was the first to notice the new arrival as he flapped his arms up and yelled, "Oh! Liam, go home. You're not coming with us."
"Why not?" The blue eyed beta questioned.
"Because wreck it Ralph it's a full moon. And I don't feel like driving all the way down to Mexico just to have you rip my throat out." Bugs sassed him, crossing his arms.
"You can lock me up, right? Chain me down to the back seat or something?" Liam offered, looking determined to go.
"Oh yeah that will go real well over with customs. A group of teenagers taking a young boy hostage? What do you suppose we tell them? Part of some ritual to get into the werewolf club?" Bugs rolled his eyes at the boy.
Malia sighed, ignoring her boyfriend vivid imagination and speaking, "You tore through the last chains, remember?"
Stiles nodded along to Malia's reasoning, "yeah, we would have to freeze you in carbonite to get you down there."
"Okay, then where do we get carbonite?" Liam answered in all seriousness.
Bugs and Stiles both groaned in annoyance, shaking their heads wile the younger one spoke bitterly, "Seriously, you haven't seen it either?"
"Man, I guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree even if its a bite," Bugs snorted.
Liam ignored there comments and went on. "Wait! What if we put me in the trunk?"
"You'd get out of that, too." Malia retorted.
"Liam, you've been a werewolf all of five minutes. You don't have to do this." Stiles attempted to reason with him.
"I know I don't, but I want to." He sighed, and the twins noticed the determination behind his blue eyes. The instinct to protect his pack as he finished. "There's gotta be bigger chains, a bigger trunk or something. There has to be."
Stiles looked at his older brother who shrugged his shoulders, letting him know that he would back him up regardless of the answer. "Maybe there is."
₩₩₩₩
Braedon had taken a fucking transport Van. Those being the only words Bugs could really think of as he stared at the massive vehicle with slight humor cause clearly no one cared about being inconspicuous.
Liam walked up beside the teenage boy, giving Bugs a smile the eldest boy knew nerves were severely destroying Liam. He had been like that at first but now rescuing was as natural as breathing and he knew one day Liam would feel the same, so he nodded back.
Derek came around the corner then, eyeing everyone and then settling on the freshmen. "Are we really bringing him?"
"Are we really bringing him?" Bugs scoffed, defending the newest member to their group. His head motioned towards Peter who had yet to say a word. His eyes were narrowed at the teenager as both remembered the tense argument they had had the previous night. Bugs was willing to do as he had promised that night still and he didn't care who watched.
However Peter seemed to act like it didn't occur, sighing heavily before speaking. "We're bringing everyone that we can. And considering Scott and Kira were taken the night before a full moon, we should probably get going."
"What's that mean?" Stiles asked crossing his arms.
"If Kate took Scott back to the same temple that she took Derek, how do we know she's not planning to do the same thing to him?"
"What, she wants to make him younger?" Liam questioned, raising a brow in curiously at the men's words.
Derek shrugged in response, "Or take him back to when he wasn't a werewolf."
Peter nodded along to his nephews words. "A werewolf can't steal a true Alpha's power. But maybe a Nagual jaguar, with the power of Tezcatlipoca behind her... Maybe she can. So, if everyone is sufficiently freaked out, I say we get going."
Bugs knew his brother was heavily against leaving soon considering a certain strawberry blonde was not present, Stiles shook his head adamantly. "We can't. Not without Lydia."
"What's she doing at the school anyway?" Peter questioned them all.
Bugs sighed, watching as his brother parted to call said girl. "We got Kira's sword, but we need something with a stronger scent. Lydia went to get a jacket out of her locker."
"Nothing." Stiles said aloud after a brief pause of Lydia not answering.
"If she has a car, she can catch up to us." Derek tried to reason with him when it was clear Stiles was not in the mood to leave.
"That's a good point. We'll call her from the road." Bugs sighed, glancing towards his brother
"No. What if something happened? What if she's in trouble?" Stiles concerned words were quick, his eyes flashing to his brother with an adamant no to them.
"Fine. You stay, you find her. We're gonna go on without you." Peter bluntly stated.
"How about a fuck no to that." Bugs retorted.
Liam seemed to be the only one with an actual solution as he stated. "I could call Mason. He has a study group at school. Maybe he could look for her."
Stiles sighed in defeat, knowing there was no way he was going to win this bout. "All right. Fine."
Stiles grumbled, heading towards the rear of the van followed by Liam and Derek. Bugs turned to Malia, the brow eyed girl staring off at her biological father before glancing back towards her worried boyfriend. Bugs sighed, running his hands up and down her forearms before speaking. "I need to go in the transport Van to make sure Stiles doesn't get killed by a homicidal beta or just a pissed off Derek. You'll be okay riding with Peter?"
"He is my father. Maybe we could do some bonding." Malia nodded.
Bugs shook his head, "fuck no. No. No bonding. Play the radio, play it loud. Sing along and scream if you can please."
He kissed her quickly, knowing they were in a rushed schedule before letting her go.
They parted ways, Braeden impatiently waiting for her passenger driver. Malia headed towards her designated car, following her father. Satan himself called out once more, looking towards the entire group. "Remember what we're dealing with. It's not just Kate, it's Berserkers. You might see human eyes behind those skulls. Do not assume that there's any humanity left."
Liam was the only one that visibly flinched at the words, Peter quickly catching it as he smirked. "Oh. This little one is terrified of them, aren't you? Don't worry, my friend. It is that fear that will keep you alive. A reminder to everyone. You do not fight Berserkers to survive, you fight to kill."

The group had been on the road for a few hours and as the haunting full moon rose so did the groups worries. It seemed like the moon was even fuller then ever, daunting to look at as its powerful possessed the newest member to the van. Braeden and Bugs continued to send worried looks to one another, both clearly not liking the fact that the people they cared for could potentially be ripped to shreds all with them inches away.
Bugs turned once more, catching his brother eyes who sent him a small nod of reassurance before he looked over to the blue eyes freshmen. "Hey Liam, how are we doing? Do I have to jump out of the car yet?"
Derek rolled his eyes at the teenagers claims, huffing aloud before gaining the sweating beta's attention. "All good? Okay. I brought something to help you. This has been with my family for centuries. It's a very powerful, supernatural talisman. We use it to teach Betas how to control themselves on a full moon."
Bugs looked over to see he held the triskele in his hands, one of which he had been informed did not work at all. He held in his snort and scoff seeing as how lying to the boy was better then telling him there was no clear of keeping him human. Derek looked at both twins, signaling for them to play along. Stiles being the first to speak although in the beginning it barely sounded like he believed in it at all. "Yes, it's powerful. Very powerful."
"Yeah..." Bugs commented, giving Liam his best smile. "Like kryptonite."
₩₩₩₩
They were almost there, even thought most of the trail was desert and cactuses there was thing he was noticing that seemed familiar. Thing he could tell meant they weren't fall off, unfortunately that also meant that Liam was growing closer to loosing control and Bugs turned once more to see his canines extending and gold Iris predominant. He gulped, looking at his younger brother who was on the front lines preparing to attack.
Derek spoke up, grabbing the young boys attention. "Liam, you with me? We have a mantra that we use. You repeat it, you focus on the words. It's like meditating. You say the words until you feel control coming back to you. Okay."
The panting boy spoke up with slight panic "Okay, okay! What are the words?"
Derek nodded, gesturing to the wooden object in Liam's hands. "Okay, look at the triskelion. See the symbol? I have a tattoo on my back, it's the same thing. Each spiral means something. Alpha, Beta, Omega. It represents the idea that we can always rise to one and fall back to another. Betas can become Alphas. Alphas can become Betas."
Liam lifted his head to ask, "Can Alphas become Omegas?"
Derek nodded and everyone in the car knew this very well to be true, in fact Derek seemed to have briefly reflect in this. He however went on. "All you have to do is say the three words. And with each one, you tell yourself you're getting calmer, more in control. Go ahead."
The car fell silent as the young boy concentrated on speaking the mantra. "Alpha, Beta..."
"Slower."
"Alpha... Beta... Omega..." The words seemed like acid coming out of his mouth as the more he repeated the tedious task it became harder. "Alpha... Beta... Omega..."
Derek encouraged him onwards. "Good. Say it again. Remember, every time you say the words, you're getting calmer."
"Alpha, Beta... Omega." Liam said with little power as he was now full on growing the words. Bugs briefly looked at Braeden when he felt something placed into his lap. He looked down to see a small pistol in his lap as the brunette nodded his way and gestured to his own.
"Say it again."
"Derek, I don't think the powerful talisman of self-control is working" stiles commented watching as the young boy now began to pull at his bindings.
"Stiles back away." Bugs warned his brother as he knew from watching Malia all those months he was seconds away from snapping the chains.
"Liam, say it again!" Derek yelled but the boy raided his response, fully wolfed out as he attempted to attack the two sitting nearest him. "Liam!"
"Derek?" Stiles yells as soon as Liam pushed hard enough to have the car swerving. Bugs holding onto the dashboard for dear life as Breaden attempted to get control back.
"I think we're gonna need to go a little faster." Bugs yelled. "Like a fucking lot."
"Keep going!" Braeden yelled to her boyfriend.
Liam somehow snapped his own bindings, getting loose and jumping at the beta in front of him while Derek held him at bay and continued to get his attention. "Liam! Liam
"Derek, I don't think Alpha, Beta, Omega is resonating with him." Stiles yelled as he attempted to help Derek not die.
Derek spit back, "You know any other mantras?"
The crazed beta growled once more, Stiles pushing with all his force and meeting his brothers concerned eyes for a split second. It took everything in Bugs not to stop his brother or help him but he knew Stiles needed to do this one on his own so he simply nodded. Telling his brother to do what he must to which Stiles answered Derek's previously question. "Yeah. I do. Liam, Liam. What three things cannot long be hidden?"
"Liam! Liam, look at me. What three things cannot long be hidden?" Stiles continued to yell until the beta was filled with enough curiously to take a breathe "What three things?"
Despite his power Liam did look over and answered in a dark tone. "Sun... The moon... The truth."
Bugs called out, "That's it. Say it again."
And Liam complied, going along, "Sun, the moon... The truth."
He continued repeating the words, slowly loosing his force until his eyes were back to normal and there wasn't a chance for him to lose it. Bugs let out a breath, realizing that the boy had conquered the nights manipulation.
Braeden glanced at him, the green eyed boy nodding her way as she parked the car. He hadn't even noticed hey had arrived because of those last tense moments.. She called out, "Derek? We okay?"
Derek nodded while Liam continued to breathe out the words h Tim he felt nothing but control to which he looked up with a smile. "Sun... Moon... And the truth. I can't believe I did it."
"Yeah, me neither." Bugs commented.
Liam laughed lightly and looked between the two sitting in front of him. "For a minute there, I thought I was gonna tear the two of you apart."
Stiles answered with dry humor. "Yeah. That would've made for an awkward ride home. So, thanks. Think you can bring the same level of control and strength inside La Iglesia?"
Braeden gained the green eyed boys attention, her hand lifting a much stronger looking gun to him. "I saw you at the warehouse that day, I know you can handle yourself the question is do you want to?"
"If it means making sure they come out alive then I'll do anything." Bugs nodded and tightened his palm over the deadly weapon.
Braedon wasn't necessarily certain that giving a seventeen year old a handgun was the best idea, much less one who had been dealing with issues, but there was no option. She knew Bugs would do everything in his power to make sure everyone in the group was safe and quite honestly that was good enough for her to hand him the gun with enough confidence to know he wouldn't do her wrong.
She nodded, a small moment of agreement going between them as they knew they were two of the weakest members of the group yet they would be fighting on the front lines. They had to give it their all.
"DEREK!" Stiles yelled from the back of the van, alerting the two sitting in the front. Braeden jumped out quickly, cocking her gun and running around while Bugs didn't hesitate to get out.
One of the Beserkers was pounding its palm against Derek stabbing at his open chest and killing the already human man. Braeden let out a growl before shooting at it, Bugs right after her to get its attention. The thing ran off then, watching as it hid behind the ruins while they both continued to shoot at its back.
Braeden was quick to drop her gun and run towards Derek where blood was seeping through his shirt rapidly and coming out of his mouth. It looked bad, worse now that they were in the middle of nowhere with no chance of getting help. Bugs was stuck to the ground as he watched the one man who had helped his whole pack out from the beginning die right in front of his eyes. His lips were dry as he hesitated before asking, "How bad is it?"
HE knew the answer was anything but good considering all the blood but even so Derek pushed them on and lied, "I'm fine, I'm fine. Just get to Scott. Just find him."
"We'll be right behind you. Go." Bradean answered even though everyone else knew that was a lie. They were all solemn knowing they were very well going to lose one of their own, even Peter seemed to let his mask slip and pain fill his face as he saw his nephew bleed out in front of him.. They were all practically glued to the gloor until Braeden yelled much more forcefully, "Go!"
The twins stilled, both of them the most acquainted with Derek Hale of the teenagers. It was slightly terrifying knowing that this might be the last time they actually see the Hale alive, after everything they had been through together this was the end. Nonetheless they continued on until Derek yelled out to both of them, "Hey, hey, save him!"
Bugs and Stiles nodded, running into the broken down church along with everyone else.
₩₩₩₩
The run down church was haunting, you could feel the amount of death and actual power held within its walls. The ancient ruins never more then ever alive as they had war and activity once more in its presence. Bugs could feel the pain and torture in it's, in fact, it slightly scared him if he was being honest. This place was wasn't one anyone went in willingly and if one dared enter, it almost seemed like it would mold them into a different person. That was the power it radiated.
"Okay, everyone stop, stop, stop, stop, stop. We gotta figure out where we are, then we gotta figure out how to find Scott and Kira." Stiles yelled aloud, panting as they had been running for minutes yet they still hadn't found any signs of life. It must have gone on for miles at least, and there was no doubt they wouldn't find anyone for awhile.... well not anyone they actually wished to encounter.
Bugs tightened his hold over the gun, readjusting his grip as he looked between Malia and Liam. They seemed to be able to handle themselves and he was very doubtful that Peter would need anyone's help, his only real concern was Stiles. As this thought entered his mind his phone vibrated in his pocket, and as he pulled out the device he almost dreaded answering. Of course it had to be his father who managed to actually get through the lack of reception and call them. Bugs winced as he knew this conversation was only going to go one way, "crap... I would have damn service here, for fucks sake... Hi, Dad. Okay, Dad, I know you're angry."
His father cut him off before he could even attempt to plead their case as Stiles neared him and placed his ear nearest the phone so he could hear the conversation. "Oh, I'm beyond angry. I've reached a level of fury that you could not possibly comprehend."
"Okay, well, when we get back, you can ground us." Stiles spoke up.
"Ground you? Ground you? I'm going to hobble the both of you, simultaneously!" Sheriff practically shrieked at them. He then sucked in a huge breath of air, and both boys could just imagine him running a hand from his chin to back of his hair to calm himself, they both had the same habit between them."Now, please, tell me you're all right. Tell me that you're safe."
"I'm not gonna lie to you dad... there's a good chance we might get possessed by some god." Bugs bluntly answered, earning a smack to the head from his younger brother who yanked the phone away.
"You want me to lie?" Stiles offered.
"Oh, God. Okay. Tell me, tell me what I can do. How can I help?"
"It's Lydia." Stiles explained to his father. "She was at the school when we called Mason to look for her, but now we're not hearing back from either of them."
"I'll find Lydia and Mason. Have each others back. You boys get Scott and Kira. You save your friends. I love you kid."
"Dad, if it's one of the Berserkers at the school, you're gonna need firepower. A lot. I love you." Bugs heard this, nodding as his brother said one last thing to his father before handing the phone back to his brother.
"Dad, I'll watch Stiles." Bugs assured his father, quickly so as to diminish his fathers worry less. "He won't die on my watch."
"Good but you have to make sure you come back in one piece as well. I love you kid and I'll see you when you get home."
"Promise, see you soon old man. I love you." Bugs answered his father one last time before the line went dead and he was being rushed down the halls once more.
"BESERKER!" Liam yelled as they came to an open part of the caves, the enormous monster like thing coming directly at them as they all braced themselves for a hell of a fight. Bugs didn't hesitate to start shooting at it, the bullets bouncing off the thing easily while they all backed.
Malia quickly turned to the twins, throwing Kira's sword for Stiles to catch as she pushed her boyfriend behind her and a growl escaped her lips. "Go find Kira and Scott. Go!
Bugs knew he needed to turn and follow his girlfriend orders because he couldn't very well let his brother go off by himself but leaving Malia here to possibly die didn't feel right. He pursed his lips as Malia quickly looked back at him, the girl pushing him once more down the darkened hall. "You need to go." She pleaded with him. "I'll see you soon!"
Bugs nodded, knowing there was no other option he grabbed his brothers shirt and pushed him down the halls.

They ran for what seemed to be miles, further and further being consumed by the darkness and the loud gunshots and wolf growls lessened in volume the further they went in. Both boys were heaving for a break, sweating through their flanneled shirts as they came to a spot with two different entryways.
"What the hell do we do?" Stiles questioned, his voice horse from the running.
Bugs looked between each one. "I don't know... pick one and go."
Stiles shook his head, "No I mean what do we do now Bugs? You and I, we could be miles away from either Kira and Scott... who knows maybe both of them are dead already. What are we even doing? We don't have anything besides one gun and this sword that doesn't even work to defend ourselves... how are we so sure we haven't already lost."
Bugs turned to look at his younger brother, grabbing his shirt and seriously stating. "Hey, you listen to me. We haven't lost, there is no way we have because that faint gunshot means there is still something worth fighting for. Now you and I are going to find our friends and get back to dad like we promised. Now pick a damn tunnel and run."
Stiles nodded at his brothers impressive speech, finding a newfound strength to his words. Bugs in the meantime looks back the way they came, finding it eerie how everything near and far echoed all the way down to them but something didn't echo... something just scraped nearest them.
"Left... lets go left." Stiles spoke up, gesturing for his brother to follow him, unfortunately his brothers attention was diverted.
"Do you hear that? Stiles? Did you hear that?" Bugs speaks up, taking a hesitant step in front of his brother.
"What?"
"There's something...." But that's all the eldest boy gets to say as instead of a small scrap being heard its a full blown growl and Peter emerges from the shadows. He charges from the darkness in wolf form, only allowing Bugs to get one good shot in before he's tackled him to the ground. Swingins his arm back and punching Stiles harshly so he crashed into the wall and doesn't interrupt the bout between his brother.
Bugs somehow manages to gain control through the pain as it feels like hes been smacked through an entire building and somehow is still alive. His hand attempts to shoot Peter but the wolf only smacks the gun away with his palm before growling at the boy and punching him relentlessly.
Bugs deflects one and although all the others slightly disorientate him this is enough for him to gain a slight upper hand and roll Peter under him. Bugs begins pummeling into Peter, letting all the rage out as he screams to his brother. "STILES GO! RUN! GET BACK TO MALIA!"
Peter kicks the green eyed twin in the gut, sending him flying back into the wall with a groan, Bugs feeling some of his ribs broken and blood pooling quickly in his mouth. Peter dusts himself off, looking back to see Stiles still disoriented from his punch. Slowly the wolf gets up and walks over to the bloodied twin, lifting him from his spot on the ground as Bugs chocks on the air. "I told you Bugs... I would kill you the next time I saw you and I would do it in front of your brother. I'm so disappointed... I expected more from the great savage, guess you don't live up to the hype. You're dead and even though some will be pissed and want revenge... no one will kill me because the only other person who could do that is you and you'll be.... well in a better place lets hope."
"See you in hell asshole." Bugs spit back, not letting fear overwhelm him as he accepted this moment. He accepted death, in fact he welcomed it with open arms. He had done all he could, he had made it this far through his crazy torment and if there was ever a way he could have chosen death it would have been like this.
Peter grinned at his comeback, lifting one of his clawed hands at the boy without breaking eye contact. "From one sociopath to another... don't get offended."
"NOOO!" Stiles managed to scream.
Peter Hale dug his claws into the Bugs Stilinski's abdomen, twisting his claws inside until vicious squirms and snaps were heard from his body. Stiles screaming in the background as he was still too dazed to even attempt to save his brother. The green eyed boy's eyes went wide as an unimaginable amount of pain consumed him and left him not fear for emotion. Peter pulled his bloodied hand out, watching as blood now dropped in pools from the young boys mouth. He smirked and answered. "Oh wait, you can't feel a thing."
He dropped him to the ground soon after, letting the boy die in a crumpled mess as he stepped around the dying boy and turned back to Stiles who was crying and crawling to his brother. Peter didn't even flinch at the scene, shrugging his shoulders. "Now if you'll excuse me I have one more teenager to deal with."
He walked away, casual as ever.
Stiles somehow managed to get near his brother, trembling as he placed his palms over the wounds and attempted to say anything that could help. "Bugs! Bugs! Hey! Look at me! BUGS! STAY AWAKE! YOU'RE NOT LEAVING ME! NOT LIKE THIS! HEY BUGS!"
Bugs coughed up the blood he was chocking on as he knew it was useless to try and survive. He was okay with death, he was okay with going away now because he knew everyone else would survive. All he ever cared about was making sure his younger brother lived.
Bugs smiled at Stiles despite the tears rolling down both their cheeks, it mixing in with the blood as the floors grew scarlet. Bugs knew he was growing weaker, his light was dimming and the show was soon to be over for him but he just needed to tell his brother a few things, that's all he wanted.
"Stiles... I'm okay. You're going to be alive now for the both of us alright, so don't fuck it up. You're more than worthy to do it all, I know you can. I'm going to be next to you through all of it okay. You have to be the strong one now, you're going to have to do it for both of us. I want you to tell everyone I loved them and I died because I wanted to. I want you to let them know I love them. I want you to tell dad I love him more than anything and he made our lives perfect. Tell Malia I love her and even after death I always will. You have to do that okay... I love you Stiles. You are the greatest person I will ever know and its been a fucking pleasure to have you as a twin brother..."
