10. Bugs Stilinski Protection Watch.

"Let him sleep it off." Brunski's voice was slowly drawn out. Slowly fading as Bugs fell deeper into sleep. His eyes were shutting tightly, like heavy bags as the door shut behind him.

"Bugs! Hey dude! Bugs! Wake up!" Rhys voice once again cut the deep slumber short, tugging onto the teenage boy tightly.

Bugs groaned, feeling the throbbing wound on his leg where the orderlies had stabbed him with the needle. He moaned, slowing sitting back up and rubbing at his eyes. "Why am I in here? I thought they would send me to solitary?"

Rhys shrugged his shoulders, blue eyes staring at the small window they had. It was the only difference in the room, everything else was just white walls. Everything was white, Bug noted as his eyes traveled once more and he felt how unnatural it was.

Rhys spoke up, "I don't know, they just shoved you in here with me. Didn't say much other then you needed to sleep off the darkness."

"What?" Bugs head shot up, green eyes blinking rapidly. He remembered what his roommate had said earlier and now this? What the hell did it mean?

"What?" Rhys shot back like he had no clue why the Stilinski was staring at him oddly.

"You know what... what did you mean?" Bugs questioned.

Rhys stared at him, his fingers curling and uncurling as the grasped at the end of his mattress. It took Bugs a moment to realize they both were doing the exact same thing.

Rhys suddenly broke out into laughter, one that sounded so eerily similar Bugs winced. "Oh come on Bugs you know what I mean..."

Bugs shook his head, fear in his gaze. "What the hell is wrong with you?"

"Me?" Rhys laughed, his green widening. "What's wrong with me? Don't be throwing accusations like that around when you haven't looked in the mirror."

"I don't know what you're talking about..." the room growing far too cold for Bugs liking. He felt his throat swelling shut as Rhys got off the bed and neared him. This wasn't happening... it couldn't be happening. He was suppose to be safe in Eichen, him and Stiles.

Rhys jumped, launching himself straight at the teenager who attempted to scream but it was gargled soon after. "Come on Bugs! Fight back! Show me! The power hasn't gone away! It won't ever!"

Bugs was growing weaker by the minute, his attempt to escape long gone as his vision blurred.

"BUGS! BUGS! BUGS!" Malia's voiced yelled, breaking him away from his subconscious. The werecoyote was pulling him away, pushing him back. "BUGS! STOP!"

His eyes sprung open, unshed tears making his vision blurry, quickly dropping the tightening hold his hands had once had. "What? What's happening?"

A strangled coughing made him jump, walking back until he smacked against the white walls to see just what he had been holding onto. It was Stiles, he had been a strangling his little brother.

"Where's Rhys?" He demanded, whipping his head back and forth. He was sure Rhys had been there, the imprint of his cold hands still tightly wrapped around his neck.

"Bugs..." Stiles mumbled after refusing the strength to breathe. "There is no Rhys."

Bugs wasn't particularly in the mood to deal with school drama, in fact, he had spent every waking moment inside the school facilities avoiding any type of conflict. However his peaceful stance at school came to a crashing halt the moment he noted Liam Dunbar, the newly turned (and overly aggressive) beta heading straight to his former schools bus.

Beacon Hills was playing Davenford Prep High School and Bugs couldn't have been any more irritated considering he hated prep school. They were all big time dicks who liked to gloat about their expensive equipment and quality fields, of course this only further added to the Stilinski's rather aggressive nature on the field and he would end up serving them all a big slice of humble pie. Now normally this alone would have him walking around with a spring in his step but today was not the day for him to be fending off trash talk and then getting into fist fights after the game considering he would have to be worried about Liam.

Bugs groaned loudly, yanking his brother and best friend from the back of their t-shirts and forcing them to turn back. Both boys had been deep into the conversation of assassins and possible lacrosse players when they were abruptly yanked.

"Okay! Okay! Enough with the chocking hazard!" Stiles annoyingly yelled at his brother as he snatched back his flannel shirt and focused. "What are we looking at."

"Liam," Scott breathed out, already having seen the scene at hand.

"Baby hulk is going to hulk smash the shit out of that bus and the players if we don't get him out of their." Bugs growled, already walking into the crowd at Scott's tail. Stiles right behind them as he had already formulated a plan to make this as smooth as possible.

"Yeah, you're going to pay for it. We're gonna break you in half out there. And it's gonna be all your fault." Brett Talbot, the team captain for Devenford sneered at the freshmen. The smirk across his face sending a flare of anger through Bugs as he grit his teeth.

Scott grabbed one side of the blue eyed freshmen who went to launch himself at the boys in green jerseys. Bugs pushed them out of the crowd, using his strength to move the teenagers. "Nice to see you too Brett, unfortunately you and your teams ass whooping isn't scheduled for another 3 hours so if you'll excuse me."

"Careful Stilinski," Brett called after the notorious Beacon Hills player who stopped as the warning continued. "You never know what new skills we've acquired."

Bugs couldn't help it, the savage came through. A smile so joyous spread across his face as he took in the threat with excitement. "Don't worry Brett... you're not the only ones with new skills. I happened to have learned a lot in the past year."

He walked after Scott and Liam, leaving his brother to defuse the situation although even Stiles was a little stunned by his brothers words.

What the hell had he meant?

"You know! I'm starting to think cold showers don't fix everything!" Bugs yelled as he held down the freshmen who was all wolfed out. Scott and Bugs were holding him under the cold showers, both using all the strength they could muster as he continued to thrash in their hold.

"Do you think now is the time for your sarcastic sentences Bugs!" Scott yelled over Liam's loud growls.

Stiles walked in then, stepping closer to the teenagers and innocently asking. "You good now?"

In response Liam only growled and attempted to attack the youngest Stilinski twin who jumped back like the ground was falling apart on his feet. Bugs didn't hesitate to smack him harder against the tiled walls. A heavy sigh escaping his lips angrily.

Liam growled once more loudly, the smack of his head seeming to have done the trick as his eyes switched back. He panted loudly, gaining control of his emotions as he yelled," okay! Okay!"

Bugs looked at Scott, the alpha nodding and reassuring him that it was okay to let go. Slowly they both did, retracting their fingers and turning the water off so Liam could take a deep breath. The freshmen slid down until his wet jeans smacked loudly against the tiled floor.

Scott was the first to speak after the predicament, "that car you smashed. I thought you said that was your teacher's."

Liam's hopeless gaze dropped to his fingers as he explained. "He was also my Coach. He benched me for the entire season."

"Wow," Bugs shockingly commented. "I've purposely broken someone's leg by stomping on like it was a roach... twice and Coach cheered me on. Did I get fucking lucky with the craziest coach out there or what?"

Scott narrowed his eyes at Bugs, silently telling him to shut up before going back to Liam. "What did you do?"

"I got a couple of red cards." Liam calmly answered

Stiles always the detective cut in, "Just a couple?"

Liam didn't answer, refusing to answer which meant it was way worse then anyone thought. Scott crouched down and placed his palm on the teenager boy. "You gotta be honest with us. What else happened?"

Liam gave in. "Nothing. I got kicked out of school. They sent me to a psychologist for evaluation."

"What did they call it?" Scott questioned.

"Intermittent Explosive Disorder."

Stiles spoke up with a bewildered expression. "I.E.D? You're literally an I.E.D? Hey Bugs! Look you're not the craziest one here finally! Maybe you can both become best friends and take on the whole lacrosse team!"

"Stiles," Bugs said with narrowed eyes. "Shut up or I'll go savage on you."

Stiles didn't even both to listen, looking at Scott. "That's great. That's great. You gave powers to a walking time bomb."

Scott chose to ignore his best friends comment. "Did they give you anything for it?"

"Risperdal. It's an antipsychotic." Liam informed them all. Bugs nodding along, he had heard that one before.

"Oh, this just gets better." Stiles kept going.

"But I don't take it." Liam added.

Stiles snorted. "Oh you're not the only one."

His brother narrowed his green eyes, punching him in the arm a little to harshly to get him to shut up. Stiles huffed in pain, holding his arm and wobbling away from his brother.

"I can't play lacrosse on it. It makes me too tired." Liam defended himself.

"He's right." Bugs sighed. "They put me on that crap a few years ago. It didn't work out for me but I remember how sluggish I felt."

Scott sighed with stress. "Okay. I think you should bail out of the game. Tell Coach your leg is still hurting."

"No, no! I can do this. Especially if you're there." Liam desperately attempted to plead his case, jumping to stand.

"Dude, you're not grasping the severity of the situation," Bugs explained, carefully attempting to placate the boy.

"Liam, it's not just about the game." Scott went into further detail. "We think whoever killed Demarco might be on our team.."

Liam seemed confused. "Who's Demarco?"

Stiles butt in, waving his hands around. "The one who brought the beer to the party. The guy who was beheaded. Remember?"

Scott nodded along. "We think the person who ordered the keg killed Demarco.

Liam's facial expression shifted just a tad. He seemed to be off in his own world. Bugs was the first to ask. "Liam? What, you know something?"

Liam nodded, blue eyes crinkling in disbelief as he spoke, "I don't know who ordered the keg. But I know who paid for it."

"Will you do me a favor and not flip shit like you always do?" Stiles spoke up as the set of twins quickly changed in the locker room. He had noticed the eire smile across his brothers lips, one that he knew followed with lectures and broken limbs.

"Oh but Stiles you're playing tonight and we are against Dick Prep High. That calls for instant savage season," Bugs joyfully answered. Truthfully he hadn't felt so liberated in months, lacrosse being the only time he was actually able to focus on instinct and instinct alone... albeit a low set instinct.

"Look, I know you want to go out there and kick some ass and by all means if that stops you from kicking my ass I will root you on but remember we have some assassins on our friends asses and a ticking time bomb of a beta. It may be savage season but you have restrictions." Stiles pointed out, his serious face on. His voice was low, partially because the assassin known as Garrett might be somewhere around.

Bugs rolled his emerald eyes, finishing up securing the last of his padding and checking his stick. "Alright already. I'm gonna try my best. Shouldn't you be focusing on someone else other then me?"

"I'm on Bugs Stilinski protection watch 24/7 alright? Malia has joined the force now so it's a little easier, I have someone who knows where you are at night and can also hold you down when you decide to go on one of your terror tantrums," Stiles sassed his older brother.

Said green eyed boy only scoffed and shut his locker rather loudly. "I am not a kid for you both to babysit."

"Yeah whatever helps you sleep at night buddy. I'm gonna go make a call to dad and see where he's at," Stiles carelessly threw over his shoulder.

Bugs went to yell profanities at his brother when he noticed the freshmen beta walking into his locker vicinity rather nervously. He raised a dark brow and questioned. "Sup hulk. Care to share with the class?"

"Nothing... I'm just nervous." Liam sighed, running a hand through his golden hair. "I don't know what to expect. How are you so calm?"

Bugs smirked, finding humor in the last question considering the irony behind it. He wasn't calm, in fact he was a fucking nervous wreck. He had however come up with a defense mechanism. "Well for one it helps when you're a veteran at this shit. We've been dealing with things like this for years, trust me you haven't seen fear until you see two boys morph into one giant monster. Now that shit will make you Usain Bolt it across the school in seconds."

Liam only managed to offer half a smile, although it was barely that. His mind was clouded with possible outcomes. "I just don't know what to do. I could wolf out on the field, I could get stabbed by Garrett. What am I gonna do when Brett or one of the other guys attacks me? How the hell am I suppose to approach any of this stuff."

Bugs sighed, thinking over his words. He knew Liam had every right to freak out, hell, the Stilinski was fearful for the boy. Stiles was right, he needed to be helpful and fortunately for Bugs there was a way for him to do it. He patted Liam's shoulders "listen Garrett doesn't know you're on the list yet, I probably have more of a chance to be stabbed rather then you. As for the other problem I can handle that quite well."

"What are you going to do?" Liam questioned, curiously gazing at his new somewhat friend.

"Let's just say it's savage season," Bugs smirked in happiness.

"Why the hell are you looking like you've just hit the lottery?" Kira questioned the eldest twin brother as he plopped down next to her. The field was filled with cheerful supporters of the teams and players ready to go toe to toe with one another.

"Because Kira, my dear sweet kitsune," Bugs practically sung. "I'm in my element. The one thing I can control."

Kira nodded, nervously staring around, "any tips?"

"Yeah, don't get in my way and when I say pass me the ball you do it," Bugs shot right back, twirling his stick around his hand easily.

"You're that good?" Kira questions with doubt.

"You've never watched me play have you?" Bugs questioned.

Kira shook her head in response.

The whistle blew, indicating that all players needed to jump onto the field immediately. Bugs looked at Kira quickly, smiling as he secured his helmet. "Trust me Kira. I'm not trying to be a dick about it but passing me the ball and staying out of my way would probably be your best option. I tend to lose sight of team and opponent fast."

"STILINSKI!" Coach yelled out in the midst of the field, grabbing both twins and pulling them to the sidelines. His fingers dug into the scruff of their necks as they both yelled out in annoyance.

"Ow! Coach goddammit! What the hell did I do!" Stiles yelled, pulling away rather quickly.

His brother roughly huffed, pulling away and moving around his shoulder. The last two quarters of the game had been spent playing more tackle then actual Lacrosse. He had kept Brett and his companions far away from Liam Dunbar, effectively breaking some limbs and damaging others to the point where they had kept most of the team off the field.

"You!" Coach yelled, pointing his finger in the direction of Bugs who was half listening. The other part of him just wanting to get back on the field, however he needed to listen, "normally I'm all for the savage coming out to play but this is a scrimmage! You can't break half the other guys no matter how much I love watching it! Can you just hold off until we actually get into the season? I already pulled Yukimura off the field I don't want to pull you to!"

Bugs huffed, rolling his eyes as he pulled back on the amount of aggressive behavior. "Sorry coach..."

"And you!" Coach pointed towards the youngest Stilinski. "Watch him! You're the only one who can seem to get through his head."

"Well the only way I'll get through to him on the field is if I end up knocking him out which isn't ideal considering he will kill me if I try that." Stiles answers.

"Good, so long as he stops knocking out the opponents." Coach answered nonchalantly, walking away.

"That wasn't an actual option!" Stiles tried defending, instead he was ignored and forced to run after his brother who was already set to attack. "Dammit! Bugs!"

"Liam!" Bugs called out, walking over towards the freshmen.

"Hey," The blue eyed beta answered. His worried gaze landing on the boy who had kept him alive most of the game. "What did coach want?"

"Same old. Don't hurt everyone." Bugs rolls his eyes, standing a few feet away from Liam as they got ready to once again play. "No worries though, I still haven't had my full."

"Are you alright?" Liam questioned, noting the defining shift in the boys green eyes.

"Me? Yeah, I'm in the best moment of my life right now." Bugs smiled, carelessly answering and running down the field once the ball had been thrown up in the air.

Liam somehow was given the ball, running down the field while Bugs rammed anywhere who neared him. He heard a couple of grunts of pain and his shoulder began to throb after a couple of good smacks. He wasn't going to stop any time soon however, especially when he noticed how Brett and Garrett were running in his direction. Fear didn't cross his mind, in fact, it was at the very bottom of his worries as he laughed and ran straight into them all. Liam right behind him.

They all collided in one giant sounding smack, the players around them wincing at the damage done as all of them groaned.

Bugs realized he must have gotten the better end of the damage considering his middle finger was the only thing throbbing. Quickly he stood, Stiles running over to him awhile Scott picked up Liam and hurried them over to the same circle.

"How hard did you hit him?" Scott questioned the eldest Stilinski who didn't look in nearly as much pain as he should have been considering his dislocated finger.

"I didn't." Bugs blinked rapidly. "He came after us... after Liam."

Liam lifted his arm, the bone there clearly having broken off and twisted horribly to the left. The freshmen containing his whimpers of pain. Bugs lifted his finger, yanking off glove slowly as the pain erupted the more he touched it.

Stiles noticed both injuries and winced, "Ow, that looks terrible. Scott you take Liam, I've got the lesser of the two evils."

Everyone else was occupied with the hurt player on the field, so Stiles and Scott ripped off their gloves.

Bugs bit down on his bottom lip, knowing it was about to get a hell of a lot more painful for him. Stiles nodded, having done this one too many times at home.

"Don't think about it. It probably won't hurt seeing as how it's been like the 15th time right?" Stiles casually talked, quickly jamming the finger back into place.

"MOTHERFUCKER!" Bugs yelled so loudly everyone stared at him. Luckily Liam's bone was already back in place. "Ow! Nope, definitely still hurts like the first time."

"Okay take it down a notch drama queen," Stiles sassed his older brother.

"Are you cut? Did Garret cut you?" Scotts concerned

Liam shook his head adamantly, "No, no. I'm okay."

"Then he missed." Scott answered, slightly shocked.

"What do you mean?" Liam blinked rapidly, confused.

Scott dreaded his next words, the twins already having figured it out. "It's you, Liam. You're the one he's after."

"I talked to Coach. I'm out for the rest of the game." Liam came up to the trio of boys. He looked slightly disappointed but in the end knew this was the best option for him. "What are you gonna do?"

"I don't know. Something's still not right. We're missing something." Scott commented, searching out on the field for Garrett and Violet.

Bugs, who had been quiet the majority of the the break noticed his brothers phone ringing from its spot on the bench. He had remembered how Stiles had secretly brought it out incase Lydia or Malia had texted him. His girlfriend and the strawberry blonde were suppose to be here but they had been called to the sheriffs department when the mention of Meredith, the other banshee, had been found looking for Lydia. She had gone along with Malia who had wanted to accompany her.

Stiles had been glancing at his phone for less then ten seconds when he had shown it to the group. "Guys. Lydia just broke another third of the list."

Liam jumped at the statement, "Am I on it?"

Stiles shook his head scrolling through it quickly, "No. But someone else is"

Bugs who was looking over his should voiced the all too familiar name. "Brett Talbot."

"Scott go!" Stiles yelled but the alpha was already long gone. Dashing down the field and straight into the locker room.

"Watch Garrett!" Bugs yelled at Liam who simply nodded after the Stilinski's who ran after the alpha.

Stiles and Bugs showed up just in the nick of time, a growl powerful enough to only belong to their best friend. They looked at one another briefly, almost falling into the room afterwards as they caught site of Violet knocked out on the ground and Scott standing over her with Brett not far away.

"Oh thank god!" Stiles relieved sigh escaped him as he leaned against the door frame.

"Get your dad," Scott nodded to both of them.

"Oh for fucks sake," Bugs mumbled and snatched the phone out of Stiles unmoving hand.
