"ZZZZZZZZZ!" My eyes snap open to the horrific noise. "Oh god, not again." I think. "SHIBIIIIII!" I yell. "Stop this now!" I jump out of bed and open the door to yell at him more. As the doors open, kikaichu fly all around me. I scream and fall on the floor. I start to cry, the sobs wracking my body. I hate bugs! Shibi and Shino rush into my room. I'm on the floor curled up in a ball, crying.

They walk over to me and look down. "Tatsuko, they've been gone for about a minute now," Shibi says. Shino just nods slightly. I look up, embarrassed that they saw me crying. Trying to compose myself, I say with hints of tears, "Stop bringing those little hellish clumps of worthlessness near me." Shino snickers a bit. Shibi sighs. "Tat, they're really not that bad," Shino says, holding back laughter. I think that I'm done crying, so I try and crack a joke. "And their homeland, hell isn't hot." They both sigh. I say. "Shino, we need to go make sure I'm on team 8." He says, "Yes I'll bring you to Lady Tsunade, the Hokage." I say, "Alright, I'll get ready." He says, "That would be nice." I say Shibi's name quietly. He looks down at my small form. I then yell, "QUIT WAKING ME AND SHINO UP LIKE THAT! IT'S DISTURBING AND HORRIFYING!" I walk up to him and start shaking him. "STOP THIS MADNESS!" I say. He chuckles a bit and Shino snickers. He says, "Whatever you say, boss." I giggle and say, "That's right now follow my orders and make me breakfast." He salutes sarcastically and says, "Yes boss!" He marches out of my room. I say, "Shino you get out now too. Do you want to see me get dressed?" I ask sarcastically. He blushes a bit. "Maybe I do," Shino says, smirking and backs out of the room. I laugh and start getting changed.

~~TIMESKIP BOYS(or kind ladies) OR WHATEVER GENDER YOU IDENTIFY AS~~

I arrive at the Hokage's office. I step in and see Shino bow. I bow along with him. I say, "Hello. It's a pleasure to meet you." She says, "I've heard about you from the Jonin." She takes out a file from her desk. She says I hear you're from the hidden flower village, a genin, you have a kekkei genkai where you can harden and shape your blood into anything, and your clan and village was destroyed. Is this correct?" I say, "Yes."

I look down and wipe a tear from my eye from the mention of my old life. I miss my family and my friends but I've made new friends. It's not the same but I have a new family, Shibi, and Shino.

Shino noticed my lack of attention and sadness and whispers to me, "Tat, it's ok." I look to Shino and nod. The Hokage says, "Alright I'm the Hokage. My name is Tsunade. It's very nice to meet you." I say, "Likewise. Your name, it's sounds familiar... OH, I know who you are! You're one of the legendary sannin!" She says, "That I am." She laughs a bit. I say, "Wow I never thought I'd meet one of you! It's such a pleasure." She says, "Thank you, what did you come here to say?" I say, "Oh right. I came to request if I could be on team 8. Is it ok with you? It would be very convenient and I think I'm most compatible with them."  I look to Shino and he looks back at me. The Hokage says, "All of the jonin said that you should be on team 8. They think you would work well with them and Kurenai said she'd love to have you so, why not?" I bow and say, "Thank you Lady Hokage." She says, "It's perfectly fine, you were going to be on that team anyway." A moment of silence fills the air and Shino breaks it. He says, "Thank you." She says, "It's not a problem." A young woman holding a pig comes in. She says, "Lady Hokage I have paperwork for you." The Hokage groans and says, "Fine. Tatsuko, Shino, you are dismissed." We both bow politely and leave the office.

We start walking back towards home and through town. I say, "Well, that went well." Shino says, "That it did... I think we have a lot in common now. We live in the same house and are on the same team." Tat says, "You're forgetting a big difference between us, Shino, and I think that it makes a big difference." Shino says, "And what would that be?" I say calmly, "The damn demons of wickedness live inside you." Shino sighs and says, "Why was I not expecting that?" I giggle and shrug. Shino says, "And for your information insects are extremely important." I say, "So what if they are, they're still gross." Shino sighs and says, "You know Akamaru?" I say, "Yes?" He says, "He wouldn't be alive without insects, and neither would you or myself for that matter." I say, "Still gross." He sighs and stays quiet. I say, "Is somebody triggered?" He says, "Tatsuko, you get on my nerves more than Kiba." I laugh. "I feel very special." He says, "You should. Why? Because not many people can get on my nerves like you can... Well, no one actually." I cheer, "Yay! I'm the best! You can't beat me! I can get on Shino' nerves! I can make Shino mad! Yay! Believe it!" Shino snickers slightly. Naruto comes running up to us. "Shino! Did you just laugh!?" Shino says, "No, I snickered slightly." Naruto says, "Same thing. Does Shino have a crush?" Shino looks at Naruto very intimidatingly and says "I could ask you the same thing." Naruto gets scared and runs away, blushing. I laugh. "I like that boy," I say to Shino. For some reason that seems to make him mad. "Hm, what's wrong, Shino?" He says, "Nothing." I mumble, "Doesn't seem like it." He says, "I heard that." I giggle. He says, "You enjoy torturing me, don't you?" I nod and laugh hysterically. He says, "Why?" I 'think' for a moment and say, "Because we're friends and that's what friends do!" I say, giggling. He sighs and says, "I've never had a close friend before so I wouldn't know."

Everything gets serious. I say, "Shino, really? You've never had a close friend." He says quietly, "No." I say, "Shino, why?" He says, "Everyone thinks I'm creepy or weird..." I quickly hug him feeling saddened that he feels like this because although he has the beetles he's a good friend nonetheless. "Well even though I think you're creepy with those disgusting bugs living in you, I still want to be your friend," I say, smiling up at the tall boy still in our hug. He sniffles. I immediately feel bad for saying that. "Shino, you know I utterly loathe bugs but despite that, I can still put up with being friends with you..." I whisper into his chest, "No, I still want to be friends with you." He tightens his grip on me and says, "Tatsuko, thank you." You say, "It's fine. Let's get back home now." He nods and continues walking again.

I still feel Shino's arms around my shoulders, pulling me into a close hug as we walk. I look back up at him. "Erm, Shino?" I say, trying to gesture to his arm. He nods slightly, understanding his place, yet somehow he looks saddened. "Shino, are you ok?" He says, "Tat, thank you." I say, "For what?" He says, "For being here for me." He talks in a voice so quiet it's almost a whisper and says, "I've never told anyone my feelings before. Tatsuko, thank you for allowing me to experience friendship." I almost sniffle at his words and hug him tightly, my head in his chest because of how tall he is compared to me. "Shino," I whisper in his chest, "I don't know what to say except that you shouldn't be thanking me. You're fun! And it's really fun teasing you and your demons." Shino says, "Did you just call me, fun?" I say, "Yeah?" He squeezes me tighter. "Nobody's ever said that to me before. Tatsuko, you're the greatest." We both let go and he starts prancing around in glee chanting, "I'm fun! I'm fun! Yippee!" I laugh really hard. "Shino, what the fuck are you doing?" He turns around and runs up to me, hugging me and swinging me around. He releases me and pulls me into a bone crushing hug. Good thing we're on a side street where no one can see us. "Shino let's go home," I say, giggling. "Alright." He says, his tone is still happy. "This is the most emotion I've ever seen from you, Shino." Shino is still smiling, yet starts to blush when he says, "Well I guess I saved it all up for you." I blush and say, "Shino, are you flirting with me?" He nods, blushing even deeper. "Why is he flirting with me?" I think.  I say, "I figured babe." His eyebrows raise and his blush is still spread across his pale face. I say, "Babe, you're blushing." He says, "What of it?" I laugh. I say, "I guess I can get to you, Shino." He says, "I just let you. I could be cold to you like I am to everyone else. It's hard showing emotion to you. Would you like me to stop?" I say, "No. Show more emotion, Shino. Show me everything you're feeling right now." He whispers in my ear seductively, "Are you sure about that?" I shiver at the feeling of his hot breath hitting my neck. His breath is warm yet feels unsettling. "Sh-Shino what are y-you d-doing?" I ask. He says "Showing you my emotion." He starts grinding on my leg. I can't tell if he's hard or not. "Pervert!" I yell. He says, "You're gonna regret saying that."

He smirks sadistically as his insects start flowing out of his sleeves. I say, "Shino please no. Don't hurt me! You know I'm so scared of them. It's not just hate. I'm petrified!" I curl up into a ball and start bawling my eyes out. "Please, Shino. No!" I let out belly shaking sobs. He comes up and lies down to me in the middle of the street and hugs me as I cry into his chest. "No Shino, please! Spare me! I don't want to die! Especially to those demons!" He says, "I wouldn't offend them if I were you. You said you didn't want to die right?" I say, "Shino no! I didn't mean it! We were kidding around and I let it go too far. I'm so sorry! Please, I beg of you! Don't kill me!" I weep into his chest. "I won't hurt you. I could never do that." He whispers into my ear, again making the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. I hug him, still crying. "Really?" I say. He says, "Although I haven't known you long, you've stayed with me longer than anyone else has. I'd give up everything to protect you. I don't even remember what it was like without you. Tatsuko, I promise to never hurt you and if I do you can kill me." I say, "Shino no! I'd never kill you! ...I bet I couldn't even if I tried..." He says, "What do you mean by that?" I say, "You know how in your brain it won't allow you to chew off your finger, even though you technically could?" He nods. I say, "Well I think that my mind wouldn't allow me to kill you because of how attached I've become to you. You're like a brother to me now." He says, "Same with me. Except without incest." I laugh and say, "Doesn't that require sex?" He chuckles and says, "Yes. Well that'll never happen with me then." I say, "What?" He says, "I've barely just gotten my first true friend. Even thinking about dating someone right now would be completely far fetched. Nobody will date someone with insects nesting in them such as myself." I say, "Shino, I'm scared of your bugs but I'm not scared of you, now that I know you won't hurt me." He says, "You have no reason to be scared of me or insects. I only want the best for you." I say, "Thanks, Shino. I think we need to get back now we've stalled enough." He nods.

We walk back to the house in silence. "Let's go!" I yell and run in the door. Shibi is inside cooking in a girly looking apron that says #1 DAD. "Shibi, you look absolutely beautiful," I say. He chuckles and says, "Glad you think so." I laugh and say, "l do. Shino how do you think he looks?" Shino says, "Fantastic," very stoically. I giggle and hug Shibi. I say, "Mom! Can we have some food?" I had completely disregarded my family until I said that. My face instantly goes blank and I almost let a tear out.

Flashback

'Tatsuko!' My mom's yells are muffled as the beasts devour her whole.

End of flashback

To avoid any awkwardness I shake it off and continue with what I was doing. Shibi says, "I was actually doing that. I'm making pancakes with strawberries." I look into the kitchen to see exactly what he described. I say, "Yum, smells delicious." He says, "Thank you. Now I'll be getting back to flipping." He walks into the kitchen and gets a fly swatter and flips the pancake with it. I say, "Shibi, is that a fucking fly swatter?" He says, "Yes because this is the only thing they should be used for." I groan and say, "Baka!" He says, "You're the uneducated one." I say, "If I'm uneducated, spell what you just said." He says, "Y-o-u apostro-" I cut him off, "Ugh!" He says, "Were you expecting me to forget an apostrophe?" I say, "Yes, yes I was." He says, "Silly little girl." I look at Shino next to me and he tenses but doesn't dare say a word to his father about it. Truly, I think he's scared of how strong Shibi could be, but I wouldn't know considering I've never fought him nor would I want to, because of his horrendous bugs living in him that he could easily kill me with. Shibi says, "Don't you know, I'm the grammar king!" I say, "You're also the king of using a fucking bug swatter to flip fucking pancakes! What in the actual fuck Shibi?!" He laughs and says, "Damn you swear like a sailor and -" I cut him off and say, "Only when you flip pancakes with a fly swatter!" He says, "Why not use it like that?" I say, "Because it's made to kill fucking bugs!" He says, "But us here, we don't kill insects, we lOOOOOve them." I groan and say, "Count me out then." He says, "I will teach you how to love insects and my son because I SHIP IT SO FUCKING HARD!"

I don't react at all, at least I think so. Maybe I'm turning into Shino? I look over at Shino who is blushing. Shibi says, "See, you guys are both blushing." Am I blushing? Why? I say, "And?" He says, "And that means you're embarrassed that I pointed it out." I say, "No, Shibi we're not in a relationship." Shibi says, "Yet." I sigh and say, "No, it's not gonna happen." He says, "That's what you think." I look over to Shino who looks a bit sad. I think, Why would he look sad? Wouldn't he not want to be with me? Does he like me like that? Oh god... He couldn't. Nah I'm just being crazy, he doesn't. We're just friends, right? I groan and say, "You can ship it, just don't try anything. Agreed?" Shibi laughs maniacally and says, "You'll see eventually how much you like him. You just don't realize it now." I look to the blushing bug boy and ask, "Is he always this insane?" Shino stoically says, "No, I don't know what's gotten into him." Shibi says, "Love, love has gotten into me." I say, "Can I snap his fly swatter in half and stab him with it after killing a hella ton of bugs?" Shibi chuckles and says, "No." I pout and say, "Awww. The demons deserve to die!" They both start yelling insects facts at me. "Life wouldn't exist without insects." "Insects are needed in life. I bet your favorite animal wouldn't be here without them." They continue yelling for about a minute. I yell back, "Yes it would! Life originated with bacteria! And my favorite animal are dogs, who eat kibble and meat for your information." They both stop and Shibi looks confused. He says, "You really are uneducated, aren't you?" I huff.

Before I'm able to respond Kiba walks in. "Did someone mention dogs?" He asks, Akamaru barking. I say, going on the ground and giving Akamaru belly rubs, "Hey, Akamaru. What's up, Kiba?" He says gesturing to Shino and me, "Not much. I was just coming by to ask if you two wanna train with Hinata and me later." I say, "Sounds great darling." Kiba says with a chuckle, "Ok. See you later sweetie." Shibi says, "No, you may not cheat on Shino right in front of him like that! If you break his heart I'll put a beetle on you." I get on my hands and knees and bow down to him saying, "Lord Shibi, it shall not happen again." Kiba looks at Shino before he leaves and smirks. He says to Shino, "Ok stud I'll see you later." Kiba walks out the door, Akamaru behind him. I say, "Shibi! Look what you did! Kiba thinks we're dating!" Shibi says, "Good. Everyone should because you two will." I yell out the door, "Kiba, we're not dating!" I angrily turn back to Shibi. "Will you please stop saying that we are dating? We. Are. Not. Dating!" I say, storming out of the room.
