"Where are you taking me?" You giggled as you kept your eyes closed.

You felt your boyfriend grab your hand squeezing it. "You'll find out soon enough doll." Bucky chuckled as he continued to drive to the unknown destination.

You hadn't been dating Bucky for too long, but you loved every moment of it. He was so sweet and kind. He was the type of guy you always dreamed about. He was very much a gentlemen, and he actually exceeded your high expectations. Despite helping the Avengers for some time, he quit so he could live a normal life. That's when he found you. You were in the park typing your next story when he sat beside you. There was just something about you that wanted him to get to know you. Apparently it was the exact same reaction you had for him, and then for a while you were just friends. Then you decided to start going out leading you to this moment.

You felt the car stop, and Bucky opened the door to your side of the car. He grabbed your hand and helped you get out of the car.

"Keep your eyes closed okay?" You could hear him smile as he spoke, and you couldn't help but smile yourself. He lead you in a certain direction until you stopped. You giggled when he picked you up. You could tell he was taking you upstairs, and you were thankful he did because he knows you're extremely clumsy.

Then you felt him put you down. He held your hand an walked with you just a bit further in the place you figured was a house.

"Okay sit down y/n." Bucky informed you as he helped you sit down on the floor. "Now you can open your eyes darlin."

You opened your eyes and realized you were in a house. "Where are we Bucky?"

"My great niece's house." He smiled looking down at you, "okay Blaire, open the door."

You heard a door open, and you gasped when you heard tiny barks and paws on the concrete. You looked up to Bucky shocked, and he just smiled even brighter as crinkles formed at the corners of his eyes.

That's when a whole variety of puppies ran up to you. You giggled as you picked up several puppies. "Hey there."

"Bucky you didn't. They're soooo cuuuuute." You began to cry happy tears.

"Happy Birthday sweetheart, and I did." He laughed, "lie down."

You did, and he began to put all the puppies ontop of you. They were all so precious and cute. You played with them for quite some time until you noticed a woman walk up.

"Hi I'm Bucky's great niece, Blaire."

You sat up and gave her a hug, "Hi I'm y/n."

"I know, Uncle Buck's told me a lot of good things about you. He really cares for you." She laughed as she looked to her blushing Uncle.

"Blaire..."

"Well it's true. Anyway Bucky are you going to tell her?" She raised her eyebrow.

"Oh yeah... Y/n you get to pick out a puppy, and he or she will live with you." He mainly said that since you both lived in separate homes since you were saving yourselves for marriage.

"Really?"

"Really."

You couldn't help but hug him. "Why don't we pick out a puppy together?" You held his hand, and he just nodded his head.

You both sat down on the floor and began to look at all the cute puppers. That's when Bucky and you both landed eyes on a cute little husky puppy. He was smaller than most the other puppies, but he was just as cute as the rest. He even looked like he was smiling. You picked him up and kissed his head. Then you looked to Bucky and smiled.

"I think this is our little guy."

Bucky petted the puppy and shook his head, "I think so too darlin. What are we gonna name him?"

You began to think about it, but you wanted Bucky to choose his name. "Bucky can you name him?"

"Uh what about... Caspian."

"Caspian. I like it. Caspian is one of my favorite characters in CS Lewis' works." You nodded.

Once things were settled, you and Bucky began to leave after thanking and hugging Blaire once more.

Bucky was talking to Blaire, and you decided to go to the car. Before you went to the car you quickly kissed him on the lips thankful for him being in your life and being so amazing.

Bucky froze in place momentarily. Then he turned and watched as you got into the car cuddling with Caspian. Heat ran to his cheeks, and he realized that when it came to you, he was a goner. He realized that he was truly in love with you, and he couldn't be happier.

"Thanks for letting us come over today Blaire." He hugged her.

"Oh it's no problem. In fact I really like your girlfriend, she reminds me a lot of my Matt. Anyway point is, she's a keeper." Blaire squeezed Bucky's hand.

"I know." He smirked. "Tell Matt I said hello."

Blaire began to shove him off the porch, "I know. I know now go spend the rest of the day with y/n. It is her birthday after all if I recall you saying."

Bucky nodded, and hugged her. Finally he got in the car and took a hold of your hand.

"Doll, do you wanna go to the pet store because this uh... This kinda was unexpected so I didn't have time to get to get any kind of stuff Caspian will need."

You thought it was so cute when Bucky got embarrassed. You squeezed his hand and nodded, "Of course."

"Happy birthday darlin."

"Thanks Buckybear." You smiled as little Caspian happily barked and cuddled into your lap.
