A/N: I have some important questions for you after this imagine so make sure to check those out as well. Hopefully you'll enjoy this part!

Warning(s): Stress, reader freaks out a little bit, i guess that's all I can say

"Mommy!" Caden yelled out when he saw you getting out of the car. He ran to you and you crouched down, opening your arms, waiting for him to run into you. He did just that, causing you to yelp in pain. Caden pulled away a little, "Are you hurt?" He asked.

You shook your head, brushing off the pain that he caused you by bumping into your chest. "How was kindergarten?" You asked as you took his hand in yours and lead him to the backseat.

"Fun!" He said and jumped in the car. "We learned the alphabet today." He said as you went to the driver's seat and began driving home.

"Well why don't you show us what a little genius you've become." Bucky said from beside you and turned to look at Caden. "Why don't you sing the alphabet song?" He suggested and turned to you as Caden began singing. "Why are you hurting?" Bucky asked quietly, making sure Caden wouldn't hear.

"I don't know, Buck. Breasts get tender sometimes." You said in annoyance.

Bucky looked at you in surprise. "Oh... I thought you had an injury or something." He said in relief. "Do they really—" He began reaching his hand towards you but you slapped it away, laughing. He smiled in success, you had been frowning the whole day. It was nice to see you smile for once.

Caden finished singing and Bucky turned around, clapping and cheering. "Great job, son." He said which made Caden smile proudly. Bucky then turned back around to watch the road ahead of him. "Uhm... Doll?" Bucky called out, "You just missed the turn." He said.

"What?" You looked around to realize he was right. "Oh, sorry." You muttered. "Got distracted."

"Is everything alright?" Bucky asked in concern but you just shook it off.

"Everything's alright." You said with a smile.

***

Everything was not alright.

You were alone at home, Caden and Bucky had gone to the movies. You stayed behind because you didn't feel too good. You were just about to fall asleep on the couch but heard the doorbell ringing. The ring kept you awake and you groaned, standing up. The blanket you had wrapped around you got dragged with you as you neared the door. You looked through the peephole and saw Steve standing on the other side of the door.

You opened the door, "Hey, Steve." You said, "Bucky and Caden went to the movies but if you want to, you can come in and wait for—"

"I came to see you." He said with a smile which made you smile as well.

"Oh, come in!" You opened the door wider and moved out of the way to make room for Steve.

"Bucky also told me you've been acting a little weird lately." Steve said as he made his way to the couch. You rolled your eyes, of course he told Steve. "He's just worried about you." He added.

You sighed, "I know."

"So what's up?" He asked as you sat down next to him.

"I feel... a bit under the weather. You?"

Steve shrugged his shoulders, "The usual." He said casually. "Are you sure there's nothing more?" He asked, brows furrowing in concern.

You nodded your head, "Yes, I—"

"Y/N." He said in a demanding tone, telling you to stop lying to him.

You couldn't help it anymore, your bottom lip started quivering as your eyes filled with tears. You tried to blink them away but they still made their way out to your cheeks. Steve wrapped his arms around you and pulled you closer to him, letting you rest your head on his shoulder and cry against his neck.

Steve held you in his comforting embrace while tears streamed down your cheeks. You refused to sob, you just wanted to calm down as fast as you could and sobbing could have made it all much worse.

Steve kept his arms around you, never pulling away until he knew for sure you had calmed down. He noticed that your breathing was starting to get more even and you seemed more relaxed. He pulled away, placing his hands on your shoulders, "Do you want to talk about it?" He asked, looking at you with sympathetic eyes.

You smiled sadly and shook your head, mouthing "No." before sniffling. "Thank you." You said and gave his shoulder a small nudge.

"Alright." Steve said and got up from the couch. "You look very tired so try to sleep, I'll be right back." He said and got up and went to the bathroom.

You nodded and lied down on the bed, wrapping the blanket around you. You closed your eyes but they shot open when you realized that you had left something in the bathroom that you probably should have gotten rid of. You jumped up and rushed to the door, trying to open it only to find it locked. You banged your fist on the door, "Steve!" You yelled. "I need to come in."

"Why?" He asked carefully.

"I just..." You started, "Just come out!" You snapped.

"You're hiding something." Steve said and your eyes widened in fear. "There's something in here." He said and you could hear him pacing back and forth, opening cabins and looking through them.

"Steve!" You scolded him, banging your closed fist against the door with force. "Steven Grant Rogers get back here this instant!"

"Don't go full mommy-mode on me!" He yelled back, clearly annoyed by your scolding. "I promised my friend that I'd help him find out what's going on."

You yelled, more like growled and slammed your open palm against the door in frustration. You ran your fingers through your hair and went back to slamming the door. "Steve! There's nothing to see in there."

"Then why do you want me out of here so bad?" He had now stopped pacing.

"Because... This is my house, Steven! And as long as you're under this roof, you live by my rules and I say get out of the goddamn bathroom!" You were screaming at him.

You were surprised to not get an answer back. Your heart started hammering in your chest, so loudly you could have sworn it was cracking your rib cage more and more with each beat. You now knocked on the door lightly, "Steve?" You asked quietly. "Steve, please come—"

And the door started opening agonizingly slow. Steve was there, holding something in his hand. The door was blocking your sight of the other half of his body so you did not see what he was holding. His gaze was intently on the object and by the surprised gaze, you had an idea, an assumption, of what it might be.

Steve let out a breath and turned to look at you, his lifted brows knitted down to a frown and he opened the door further, wide open.

You gasped and covered your mouth with your palm as you saw your assumption was indeed correct.

Steve held the object with both of his hands, showing it to you as if you hadn't seen it before. He took one last look of the object before turning his attention to you.

And then there was silence.

Until it was finally broken.

"You're pregnant?"

***

Bucky and Caden came home from the movies, all Caden had done on their way home was talk about how amazing the movie they saw was.

Caden sat on Bucky's shoulders as they made their way to your apartment. Bucky was surprised to hear yelling from the apartment and he was starting to grow worried.

Bucky lifted Caden off of his shoulder and held him against his hip instead while digging around in his pockets for his keys. When he finally found them, he opened the door to see you and Steve yelling at each other.

"You have to tell him!" Steve yelled.

"No, it's too soon!" You yelled back, throwing your hands up in anger.

Bucky felt Caden grasp the collar of his shirt and felt the little boy tense. "Hey!" Bucky butted in. "Stop shouting, you're scaring him." He said with a much calmer voice, gesturing Caden.

"Hi, baby." You said and rushed over to Bucky and Caden. You held your arms in front of you and Caden reached out to you. You took him in your arms and kissed the side of his head before kissing Bucky's jaw. "Did you have fun at the movies?" You asked, trying to seem as calm and collected as you could.

Bucky eyed you suspiciously. His gaze flickered between you and Steve who was avoiding his friend's gaze. Bucky knew instantly that you were talking about him and it made his his heart beat slightly faster as he started thinking about what you two could have been talking about.

Caden started telling you about the movie and Bucky made his way to Steve. He knew something was up and he was about to find out what. "Hey, Steve." Bucky said with a cold gaze, making sure Steve knew he wasn't in the mood for games.

"Hey," Steve said casually. He crossed his arms and leaned against the back of a couch, seeming very calm.

"What were you and Y/N talking about?"

Steve was about to open his mouth but you were faster, "No!" You yelled out. "Buck, why don't you read the animal book to Caden."

"Why won't you do it?" Bucky asked, sounding a bit irritated.

"I would but you're so much better at mimicking those noises the animals make."

Bucky looked at you as if you were crazy, "When have I ever—"

"Your groans are very animalistic," you blurted out. Your eyes widened slightly as you realised you were holding Caden right against you. "You know... Kinda like a lion or a tiger or..." You trailed off, feeling your cheeks warming up with every word. Bucky had his brow raised, he was still very confused. "You can growl... in... you know," you stammered, mentally cursing yourself out for being so nervous. "With the birds and the bees stuff." You said and looked down at Caden who also looked to be confused.

"Lions and birds and bees?" He asked. "Why are there lions?"

"Honey, we'll talk about that when you're older." You said, "Actually... No we wont." You shook your head, feeling your breathing pick up its pace once again.

You placed a hand on your forehead and closed your eyes, letting out a long breath. Bucky and Steve both saw your face suddenly becoming pale and they both shared a look of concern. You were feeling slightly dizzy, you tried your hardest to calm down.

Bucky quickly grabbed Caden from you and placed his metal hand on your cheek, making you jump slightly from the coolness of the material. "What's going on?" He asked gently and your heart broke as you saw his saddened gaze.

You wish you could have told him but you weren't ready. You hadn't discussed possible additions to your family. It had come up once or twice but you'd never had an actual discussion about that. You weren't sure how he would react, you were doing so well but you were afraid that he might snap and think you are moving too fast.

You shook your head and sent him a smile, trying to make it a sincere one. "Nothing."

Bucky knew you were lying and he wasn't even trying to hide his disappointment. He lowered his hand and gave you a look that was a mixture of sadness and disappointment before he went on to make sure Caden got ready for bed.

You held onto Steve's shoulder as you started feeling even more dizzy. "I need to lie down." You said and Steve guided you to the sofa where you finally lied down.

"Do you need some water? Some food? Anything?" Steve asked as he placed a hand on your arm, running it up and down in a shooting gesture. "Just breathe."

And you did. You breathed in and out, slowly, steadily.

After a while you started feeling a lot better. You sat up and sighed, running a hand over your forehead. "That was a close call."

Steve shook his head, "I think you should tell him." He muttered under his breath.

You glared at him, "I can't."

"Why no—"

"I have my reasons!" You snarled back. "What if I get a miscarriage, huh? Either I'd build his hopes up only to have them crumble down or I'd scare him off for nothing."

Steve rolled his eyes and sat down on the bed, slumping back. "What makes you think he'd run away?"

"That's just one of the many possibilities."

"That's not going to happen." Steve said confidently. "Bucky's already a dad, he loves Caden with all of his heart. What bad could another kid do?"

And you started thinking about it. Finally looking at the situation in a positive light. You imagined telling Bucky that you were carrying his child, him getting excited about the big news, telling Caden he's going to be a big brother, the whole nine.

"You're smiling." Steve pointed out. "You should tell him."

"It's still too early. Something could happen."

"He's the father of your child. He deserves to know."

"Well why don't you tell him then?" You asked sarcastically and rolled your eyes.

Steve stood up from the couch and you quickly grabbed a hold of his arm with both of your hands. You kept him still, not letting him move. "If you tell him, I will go get your shield and shove it so far up your ass you'll taste the vibranium." You said with a low voice.

"But—" Steve protested and tried to pull away from you but he only managed to pull you further to the edge of your seat.

"Don't you dare." You sent him a warning look but he pulled his arm back again, now you fell to the floor, letting out a small scream as your bottom hit the ground. You still held onto his arm. "Steve!"

"Y/N!" Steve groaned as you wrapped yourself around his leg, trying our hardest to keep him still. "You're being ridiculous!"

"I'm being ridiculous?"

"Yes!"

"Oh, really?"

"Yes!" Steve raised his voice just a bit. "You have a four-year-old child and now you're acting like one yourself."

"I don't care! I won't let you leave until you promise me not to tell Bucky."

"Tell me what?" You heard an angry voice of your boyfriend say from behind you.

You cursed under your breath and turned your head to see Bucky looking at you angrily. Still, you kept clinging onto Steve's leg. "Bucky it's no—"

"If you say 'nothing' one more time I'm going to walk out of that door." He said with his eyes as cold as ice as he pointed at the front door.

Your heart started racing and you finally let go of Steve's leg and stood up, Steve helping you up although you didn't really need it. You weren't so far along that a bump would cause you that much trouble.

"So what's going on?"

You bit your lip, holding back tears in your eyes. You couldn't tell him now that you were fighting. You had to wait.

"I'm sorry, I can't tell you right now."

Bucky's jaw tightened and he closed his eyes, letting out a short breath. He turned on his heel and started walking towards the door.

You rushed over to him and grabbed his hand, making him turn back. "Don't go." You pleaded. "Please."

"Y/N," he started and pulled his hand away from you. "I thought you could tell me anything. You've never kept any secrets from me. I just need some time alone, okay?" He asked, sounding much more gentle than a few seconds ago. "I'll come back."

You nodded and watched him walk out of the apartment.

You turned to Steve who gave you a sad smile. You sent him one back and let out a humorless laugh. "Why didn't I just tell him?"

Steve shrugged. "He didn't even seem that mad."

"Yeah, but did you see the disappointment in his eyes?" You asked and let out a sigh. "I guess I'm left here wondering when he'll come back."

"Do you want me to—"

"No, I don't want you to go after him." You interrupted him. "And, no offense, but if I sent someone to spy on him, I'd call Nat."

"Well, you can—"

"I'm not going to ask anyone to spy on him!" You laughed. "I trust him. He's not going to do anything stupid."

Steve nodded, agreeing with you. "Do you want me to go or stay until he comes back?"

"Whatever you—"

"Mommy?" You heard Caden say as he peeked his head through to doorway. "Where did daddy go?"

"Daddy went on a walk." You said. "He'll come back soon."

"But he didn't read me a story." Caden pouted.

You sighed and started walking towards his room but Steve held you back. You turned around and he said, "You should get your head straight and rest. It's been a rough day."

You smiled, hugging him. You went to Caden and wished him a good night before going to your bedroom to try and get some sleep.

***

You were sitting on the couch, wrapped up in a blanket as you watched whatever was on the television.

You heard the front door opening and closing shortly after. You heard Bucky taking off his jacket and then he started walking towards you. "Hi." You heard him say.

You turned your head towards him and gave him a small smile. "Hi." You said back.

"What are you still doing up?" He asked as he slowly made his way to the couch. He circled the couch from the back and sat down next to you.

"I couldn't sleep." You answered and turned your head back to the TV. "So where did you go?"

"I—"

"I'm not asking because I don't trust you but—"

"I know." He said and placed his hand on your shoulder. "I went over to the bar where I used to spend time back in the old days."

You furrowed your brows, "You went to Brooklyn?" You asked, he nodded. "How was it?"

"The bar has changed, of course, but it still felt like it did back then. I was sitting there at the bar like I usually did and I actually ran into Clint and Sam on the way there. So I chatted with them, kind of like I did with my old buddies and it just hit me that it didn't feel the same as it used to."

"What do you mean?"

"I was sitting there and I just kept thinking how I wanted to come back home and be with you."

You couldn't help but smile. You wrapped your arms around him and pulled him in a hug. Suddenly, tears started streaming down your cheeks and Bucky noticed. "Why are you crying?"

"I don't know." You said as a sound between a sob and a laugh came out. "I'm sorry my hormones have been all over the place lately."

"Is it the time of the month?" He asked carefully.

You shook your head and smiled. "Definitely not the time of the month."

"Then what is it?"

You took a deep breath and took Bucky's hands in yours. You tried to smile but somehow a frown made its way to your face. You were half smiling, half frowning and Bucky looked at you with his brows raised. "Why are you looking at me like that?" He asked.

You took another breath before you looked at him in the eye and finally revealed what you were keeping from him. "I'm pregnant."

Bucky froze on the spot. His hands were still on yours but his whole body stiffened. He looked at you with wide eyes and your heart started beating a bit faster.

"You're—"

"Yes."

"But we—"

"Used protection, I know."

"Is it—" Bucky started and he pulled away from you, looking at the door. "Steve?" He asked, his voice was getting louder. "Is that why you didn't want to tell me?"

You let out a gasp and slapped his arm, "No! Of course not, you idiot!" You slapped his arm a couple of times more.

"So... It's ours?" He asked, seeming careful.

"Yes, Bucky. I'm pregnant with your child."

The discussion was not going at all how you imagined it would. First of all, you could have never imagined him thinking you were cheating on him and with Steve, his best friend. Second of all, he was barely showing any reaction and in your mind, when you thought of the possible ways he could react, he reacted strongly.

"We're going to have a baby?" He asked with a small smile on his face. "We're going to have another child?"

It really warmed your heart how he thought of Caden as his own son, he always treated him like he was his own. He loved your son dearly.

It also made your heart sing when you saw the smile on his lips that he got after taking in the news. You also noticed his eyes getting wet and you couldn't stop yours from doing the same.

"We're having a baby?" He asked again, grabbing a hold of your arms and waited for you to answer.

You only nodded with tears of joy streaming down your face.

Bucky let out a joyful laugh and he stood up, running his fingers through his hair. "We're having a baby!" He yelled out in excitement. He lifted you up from the sofa and wrapped his arms around you, kissing you wherever he could reach. He then squeezed you tight and lifted you up from the ground.

You couldn't help but laugh. You had never seen him as excited as he was by the news. You wrapped your arms around him and enjoyed the warm embrace. He was glad.

You felt relieved.

Bucky sat down with you sideways on his lap, you laid your head on his shoulder and his hands were resting on your thighs. You turned your head slightly to look at him to see him already smiling at you. "You're carrying my child." He said, the smile never leaving his lips. "I cannot begin to explain how happy I am that this," He began and rested one of his hands on your stomach, "is happening."

You only smiled and leaned up to kiss him gently.

It was quiet for a while, you just sat there enjoying each other's company until you heard Caden opening the door to his room. "Why are you shouting?" He asked with a yawn.

"Son, come here, we have something to tell you." Bucky said and patted the cushion next to him.

Caden made his way to the couch and climbed on it, sitting down beside you.

"Caden, you're going to be a big brother." You said with a smile and looked down at your stomach, seeing Bucky's hands still over it. "We're having a baby."

"Okay." He said and made his way back to his room, not seeming all that bothered by the big news he had just gotten.

"You know," Bucky started, "I didn't think it was possible to love you more than I already did but when I found out you're carrying our child, I fell even more in love with you." He said and kissed the side of your head.

You lifted your hand to his cheek and ran your thumb over the soft skin. You leaned in to press your lips on his for a short time. "I love you." You said as you parted, still holding your hand on his cheek.

"We're having a baby." He said happily as you settled your head back on his shoulder. "We're having a baby." He repeated once again.

He kept repeating those words for what felt a million times but that never made him nor you less happy.

Your family was about to have a new member.

Okay, so about the important questions that I wanted to ask you...

Do you think Y/N and Bucky should get married? I don't see why they would have to but I just want to know what you think. Even if most of you think they should get married I'm not promising that I'll be writing about a wedding. I might mention they got married at some point if that's what you want BUT if you want me to make a whole part for a wedding, I might. Just be sure to tell me.

Also, which one do you think the baby should be, a boy or a girl? Also, I'd like for you to send me some name requests, if you want!

Those were the important questions, I'd very much appreciate if you would answer me. Either leave a comment, send me a message or an ask on Tumblr.

Thank you so much!
